For GuitarSwan: The first song I learned and performed at my local open mic was this song and it was because of you. That was back in 2011 when I was a much younger man then lol. I really hope that you see this. Because that time in my life was so much better in many ways. I remember watching that video of you playing this song over and over. I would sit in my room for 6 to 8 hours per day in those first 2 or 3 years playing. I want you to know that I am SO SO THANKFUL FOR YOUR VERSION OF THIS SONG. I am actually tearing up thinking of watching your video and the way things were. Thank You for your video and Thanks to you I am still picking the hell out of guitars bud.
Awesome instant fan. I'm 20 year experienced Intermediate home guitar/Open Mics.. I always look up different covers to figure how I'll decide to do it. I can tell I'll be working on this way but determined, one of the few songs easier to remember all the words 😂
Thanks for transcribing the flute intro! Have played the song for years but never took time to learn the flute parts on guitar. Great job and thank again! Rock on bro!
Thank you. Can’t wait to hear more. For what it’s worth, I’d vote for American Girl. Your acoustic arrangement (with the rocking right hand) is the definitive version of the song for me now.
Wow.. this is the second lesson I've watched. My first (blue sky) was a real treat to have found... you're two for two bud, ..its been alot of fun to have you walk me through this intro..I really like your sound and your teaching style,. ..these two lessons will keep me busy for the next two weeks...Im no natural by any stretch...lol.. but I enjoy the process.. Peace, Steve
Thanks been watching since you put it up 10 years ago....always come back to it!! Would love to have you do some tunes in your style where you break down the triads a bit more...maybe like simple ones like you said that can be played relatively easily all over the neck. I find that's a great learning tool...practical and theoretical at the same time. Thanks for posting from Chi-town!!
Nick, man you know your shit, how to transpose flute onto guitar. You make every song you play some much better with all the little do dads you add. I just copied all the notes for the first part without the triad onto paper. Now it is time to practice. I hope I sound close , great job, keep up the great work!
You do a good job Nick, thanks! I've been a subscriber for quite a while and you have helped me numerous times, I might accidentally get up your way one day, road trip :)
Hey, what a great lesson! Is this drop D tuning or somethings else e.g. Eflat tuning? I can't get to my guitar just yet to verify what I think I'm hearing . I can't believe people don't hit the like button. Come on folks, show him some luv!
Nick you know one I'd love to see; how you did it, the way you tuned it is the Allman Brothers ain't wasting time no more. you did that a couple years ago that was an awesome one but I didn't know what kind of tuning you were using but it sure came out sounding sweet😎
I'm a beginner I got the whole thing great job teaching all except for the part where your hands behind the microphone I still don't know how to play that part
i have a flute but i'm a smoker and i cant play the damn thing. i like your hats. i wear those kind too, along with flannels and a beard. it's weird we kind of look alike except i have a northern accent.

II cannot wait to hear more. So cool how you actually do your sounds...
I love this, I am in the process of making it good. Among other things you show us, we are reminded that you don't need boutique guitars to rock.
Thanks for transcribing the flute intro! Have played the song for years but never took time to learn the flute parts on guitar. Great job and thank again! Rock on bro!
