    Hope you folks had a good week. Also, interesting thing to note...apparently if you buy a house but then you save and exit the game and you come back...the house isn't there anymore. No big deal though, we'll get even more money and buy an even bigger house, you know how it goes.

    3:58 no we don’t have to pay anything 😊 well, technically it comes out of tax money which is why the national health service is slowly falling apart due to the government barely caring about it. I went in with a sprained toe and waited for 5 straight hours. My mother went in (she’s 51) and waited overnight for a procedure that took 5 minutes only to be told to come back the next day.

    Gray about the hospital bills:
    In the past we didn’t have insurance and hospitals were way cheaper. But when insurance companies started they told the hospitals they didn’t want to pay the same price as regular people because they paid in bulk.
    So what the hospitals did is inflate all the prices, sometimes making things 1000% more expensive but making it way cheaper for the insurance companies.
    So to this day, people without insurance are paying the made up prices (yes, really made up. Hospitals literally just picked prices at random)
    Edit: check out They are billions, awesome game.

      you guys do realize that at least a portion of the extra they charge goes toward paying for resources lost and expenditures on treatment when someone gets treated for life-threatening situations and, can't pay due to: lack of income (as they aren't allowed to take away from someone's paycheck past a certain point while said person's income is below a certain point), death (the patient dies after receiving treatment, costing the hospital without any chance to see a monetary return), and people that file bankruptcy to nullify outstanding bills at the cost of credit - if they didn't charge extra, only those that could pay would be treated (whether they pay through insurance or have it in accounts)

You can look up Little Franklin Delano Roosevelt and he is in a dress, they all did until they were 6 and potty trained. • @wiggl3s_821
      @wiggl3s_821 4 роки тому +4

      Turamwdd what does it matter when one major health problem could also bankrupt you? In a time where thousands of people are being made redundant it’s abundantly clear that “free” healthcare is needed. Anyone can be made redundant and anyone can fall into money issues. Paying a little bit every paycheque while you have it ensures that no matter what, no matter how serious the injury or how little money you have you will always receive the best healthcare the country has to offer. Also FYI, I’m pretty sure your taxes in the US are also higher than ours in the UK anyway AND you have to pay for insurance ontop of that 😂😂😂😂😂

      Bryan Butts it takes about 10 minuets I think it has been years since I had cancer but I am pretty sure it’s about 5 to 10 minuets

      @Clay Anderson Don't you mean seconds? It took a couple of seconds when I took an x-ray at the dentist just a few months ago.

    • @NathanChambers

      I think he was talking about how long to get the appointment. In the US people are commonly told that in Canada it takes 6+ months to get any appointment (with the same exception as in the US where Muslims get instant access). So I take it maybe he was referring to that, not the actual x-ray itself. Just a guess though :)

    Yeah basements are rare as heck in Florida. I think it's because the ground is not fit for it. To be honest would be a nice thing to have cause of these dang hurricanes lol. It seems like every year mother nature just likes to throw hurricanes at us Floridians like crazy

    The price for medical is inflated and arbitrary. Due to the way the insurance and hospitals used to interact. It's broken I say, broken.

      I had back surgery last week and have had to fill two prescriptions out of pocket (one for 40 percocets, one for 40 tylentol 3s) and I think that even though I don't have insurance, the fact that Canada negotiates as a whole with the pharmaceutical companies means that the prices are cheaper. My perc's were $20 (.50 canadian or .35 american each) and the t3's were $10 (.25 CDN or .18 american each) which I believe is a lot less than you pay over the border. I also live about 20 minutes from Niagara Falls, so it pains me to see so many people that live so close have such horrible health care.

      "not really free as you pay it through tax", Even paying for it in taxes, meds are still cheaper there. Like in the US my med is over $800 a month, and in AU it's under $20. lol Though I don't mind paying the approx $55 for it here in RU, both still better than pathetic US healthcare.

    Gray to answer your question, in Australia medical care is free, elective operations cost and if you want private insurance is available to those who want it. but the service provided by the government service is perfectly fine as the only time you need to go to the hospital is in an emergency and admittance is fast.
