If you want to see a tree farm, watch any film set in the medieval times, or battles in 'forests'. It's always tree farms.

Put 2 logs going one way as a base, then when you start stacking the logs, put them across the first 2 logs so they cross the first 2 logs and are supported on the both ends, then you can get your loader forks under the logs better.

In Oklahoma we have a bunch of places with trees planted and grown like this but they aren't for tree farming. There were used back in the day to block the wind and dust storms from ruining the crops back during the "Dust Bowl" days. If you look up Parallel Forest you'll see them, it's a very beautiful place but growing up there were always stories about them about how they are cursed or used for rituals yadda yadda.

Tree farms often look like like actual forests but they are all the same tree. If you ever come to Scotland you’ll notice them. Most have just become forests because during the war the government planted massive forests for an other war. And now we can use them fast enough for them to need to be replanted

I live in Uwharrie forest NC& we have TONS of tree farms. Hwy 109& Bringle Ferry Road has several of them. &the saw mill is like 2 miles down the road. &you were correct (on your last video I think). I don’t know about the sawmill- but you legally wouldn’t be able to drive with the trees all crooked like that. &you have to staple a big red or orange flag to the end of the stump that hangs out furthest so people know how close to get to you.
Edit: and then you drive with a tree basically hanging out the back of your truck xD yea, you wouldn’t even be allowed to leave the spot the trucks parked in with it like that lmfao
In 17, I found the grappler fork works better for loading logs than the log forks.
Hahaha the first thing you touch on was the dolly from the other video haha! Also I agree on making your own money until your server crashes and you forgot to save. We call the money cheat “insurance” ;) funny videos man
Grass grows forever. The advantage of planting it instead of just mowing random grass is that you can take care of it (weed, fertilize, spray etc.) and increase the yield. That'll probably be way more grass than your sheep will ever need, so then you can just bale and wrap it for sale as silage and get those extra stacks coming in.
I'd rather get more sheep to eat it then.
Sileage through grass is God damn slow and labor intensive.
I'd rather use corn with the other harvester type. Fills a trailer faster then you can dump it in a bunker.
Which can hold stupid amounts of Sileage. Luckily in this game you can place bunkers and cow pens reducing travel time.

There's a woodchipper in game now that auto sells chips to the mill, it's under the farm tab. Also, it makes a fraction of the amount of money that you make selling full logs.
Heres an idea grey, use an autoloading trailer to "fix" your load after you load it manually and depart so it looks pretty?
When you use the scorpion to cut the logs directly into the log trailer, the trailer has to be lined up so park about 50 ft away perpendicular to your tree line. With a little practice, it is the fastest way I've found.
You can maximize your wood handling by getting them tip-to-tip and make a sliding motion forward and backward along the wood.

Gray, watch Keralis's logging video, you can use the cutter to cut them right into the trailer so you can cut out using the loader to pick logs up off the ground. Eliminating that step saves a lot of time and money since you don't really need the wheel loader.
The grass is probably infinite because you’re basically just mowing the lawn, you know how the grass always grows back. You’re not actually killing the plant.
Cut your stumps off at 4 feet and stack your wood against two of them and drive your loader claws between them, works great for me

I thought about that. Haven’t tried it yet but I was wondering if you can grab the tree and after cutting it and trimming it straight in to the trailer . Eliminating the second step of picking them back up. Pretty new to the game started the basics just harvesting grains and stuff.

When you say "there probably a mod...." your right no matter how you end that sentence. FS always has thousands and thousands of mods. I've already found over 30 just 3 days after release just to give you an idea how popular this game is.

The Ponsse skidder should be able to load the trees.... One at a time. Just stack em on the truck as they come down.

The way I stacked my logs in fs 15 was to have the harvesters point down the row of trees and slightly to one side, so you just have to pull forward after each tree is cut. Right after you cut the tree move the turret quickly left or right about 15 to 20 degrees, the tree will fall perpendicular to you. Do your cuts and as you move along the row of standing trees you will be left with a straight row of cut trees off to one side.
I then use the front loader with a universal bucket to tighten up the pile. Once the ends a nice and neat use switch to the log fork and fill your trailer.
I didn't use this method in 17 because a full log fork would vibrate and jiggle so much if was pointless, haven't tried it in 19 yet, hopefully that bug is fixed.
How do you handle alot of wood.... Well I'm not sure but grinder seems like a good place to start
If you want something truly frustrating grow cotton. And after harvesting an incredible amount of land you take your truck over to load the cotton bale and find it hovering about 15 feet in the air and your vehicle just drives through it. No way to get it down. I went all out trying cotton and have about 15 bales floating. Theyre worth 100k a piece

Trust me. That is not a precarious load of lumber. I played Farm Sim 17 without the fancy forestry equipment. I used a chainsaw, a Case Puma tractor with a jaw front loader, and a lumber trailer. I cut the tree, I sectioned the tree into smaller pieces, I drove the tractor and individually picked up each section and dropped them into the trailer with their branches intact. The branches tangled like mad and made the trunks sit at odd angles. I also hated cutting the trunks short so they usually overhang the trailer by a truck length or two. I had some rough drives under bridges and some fancy maneuvering that required weaving through the forest at a snail's pace, wondering if I could ever get back out. I was too cheap to buy a semi truck so I used the same Case tractor to drive the jeezless thing with that swiveling dolly that always ended up underneath the tractor whenever you reversed. That game made you unload all of the wood from your trailer to collect the money. I would just detatch the tractor and raise my loader high in the air and ram the side of the trailer to tip it over. Now, that's proper forestry work.

Gray, Ya see. I'm from south Florida (fort lauderdale) and we have a palm tree farm (apparently it's worth a lot and decently hard)
Oh hey, I'm over in south Florida too. We've got a few tomato farms and some like...bee farms, there's landscaping places that sell the trees but I've never really seen just a ton of trees all packed together to be cut and sold.

Idk if this would still work in farming simulator 19, but in farming simulator 15 you can just buy oak trees in the shop and plant them down without using a planter or anything, so what I do is plant a bunch right next to the logging lake, then cut them down with a chain saw, then shove them into the logging lake with a tractor with a front loader, then remove the stumps with a stump remove on the back of the tractor, and u get 50 grand per tree, again not sure if this would work with later versions

A few hours from where I live there's a town called Cowaramup and the whole town legitimately has decorated cow statues everywhere so cow statues aren't that strange to me

Honstly that looks much more tame then what I and a friend did. We where playing on multiplayer and we had a bunch of trees that we need to get rid off but didn't had the money for all the equipment and we didn't want to get a lone. So what we did is we took a chainsaw and a compactloader with tool for picking up trees. We cut down the tree and just shove the hole up the trailer and drive to the wood cutting place on the map or just shove it into a wood shredder we were to lays to cut the trees into smaller parts

Yep im fine with farming sim 14. We have the tree mods for forestry with the IA who walks around (which sometimes glitches if you have too many mods and they stsrt walking around your fields of corn) snd nice to see they still havent put in crop textures for the trailers and its just a jpeg image with nothing under it lol (from your pig video).
Did you know that you can change pounds to dollars and kph to mph in settings

front loader bucket works for grass, wheel loader bucket can hold a lot and cheaper than forage wagon
load the grass into a trailer with the loaders it's not as fast but way cheaper
As long as your grass doesnt drown or burn your grass is impossible to kill in my line of work i have to cut the hwy 1 a week befor it gets insanely high
