Back in 1988-89, a radio station pulled my name out for a new 1988 Suzuki Samurai. And, back in 1964, a grocery store gave my grandfather a game scratch off promotional ticket with his groceries. He scratched it while at the check out, and scratched off a brand new baby blue Ford Mustang. I was with him. He seemed to not really believe it at first, or stunned, and he said “That’s nice”. 😂 It was too small for my grandmother’s preference, and also my grandfather was about 6’1 or so, so they traded it for a Maroon 1964 Chev Impala 4 door. My brother has it. My grandfather had a work vehicle and only took the Impala for Dr’s trips, etc, and when he passed about about 15 years ago, it only had 28,000 miles. I sure miss them, they were extra parents.
Just watched the video The Price is Right (May 7,1999). Not exactly as they remember but WOWwhat an awesome keepsake memory immortalised in time. Awesome!
Glad you mentioned the undertaker on the podcast. I also saw that and thought it was very cool. Also I just saw Martin's Instagram post. Congratulations Martin and Brittany! Happy for you both!
Hey, it’s me Diane with the camo cast after I broke my arm. Si’s mom and I have something in common. Both of us were big winners on The Price is Right. I scored and got new furniture for my house. As a newlywed it was pretty good furniture and other goodies.
Uncle Si is not kidding, I have seen the fancy tail goldfish that were every bit of 10 lbs In Tim's paylake in London KY. If left alone in a large area they can grow huge.
Within a short jaunt 'round here, just to name a few, we've got Knoxville, Maryville, Sevierville, Asheville, Crossville, and numerous Shady Groves.♥️🤣My Daddy said one of his cousins got ALL THE WAY to the SHOWCASE SHOWDOWN, and lost.🤦🏼♀️🤪🤣♥️God bless, ya'll.
Here in western pa we play the national anthem before everything n you better stand n show respect.. 💯💯💯.. should just be a given but I guess not these days
Lol I’m with ya Martin. My Gma and Gpa had their lineup of shows too. 10am price is right, noon All my Children, get a break, and then 4pm was Jeopardy. In the summer, my gma had me snapping green beans with her while we watched them haha. Good memories. Congrats to Brittany and you!
Caught a 6lb channel cat on a chrome Blueback rattle trap back in my teenage years I was getting ready for my grinner picture with this big bass while I was reeling till I saw it roll a few times near the surface lol
@@Gbody_Klown This was a catfish pond but he hit it like a bass until it started rolling didn't matter still went in the grease..... they will bite anything from my experience
Rucker? That is so cool that yall mentioned someone by my last name of Rucker. Almost every single Rucker in the country descends from the same guy who came to Virginia in the 1600s named Peter Rucker Up here in the north it is rare to find anyone else named Rucker because Peter lived in Virginia which became West Virginia. They were all over south east Ohio and west Virginia most especially.
Answer to hard worker surrounded by slackers: my son in same situation, I told him to look for another job, he did, found it, & new job ❤ him. He gets extras all the time & verbal thanks often! There ARE good employers out there..don't stay where U R not appreciated! (When he gave noticed they begged him to stay & offered more $$, but he was fed up w/slackers-moved on-so much happier now).
Love the podcast but please keep your mic volume the same as it is in the ads. There are to many high highs and low lows where you almost cannot hear it.
What happened to Si's cup? Does it really hold significant value or is it just a cup. I love my beer, I recently changed cup color/size.. had to go back to the original size cup but a different color
The only way we are going to get rid of Asian carp. Is to give them to the farmers to use as fertilizer. Think of how many farmers there are in America and the chemical compound they use for fertilizer can be detrimental to other fish if it washes in the river. If we found a way to substitute some of that with the Asian carp it's a win-win man 🤷
I worked my buns off but I quit they replaced me with six people and then called me to come fix the machine and paid me fifty dollars for ten minutes work
I did not know they had an Asian Carp problem in the south. I remember they had to battle the carp on the Illinois River because the fear was they were going to get into Lake Michigan and ruin the fishing industry. This is an example of humans making decisions and because they are not God had unintended consequences.
I know this ain’t live. But if duck call room can see this or any fans. My girlfriend cousin was murder by her ex husband. She was at a gas station and he shot her and a innocent bystander. And then fled and then went to a restaurant and took the owner wife hostage. And she jumped out of the car and he ran her over trying to run from the police. She’s hurt but going to survive. He was caught and facing all kind of charges. But she left behind 5 kids from 21 to 6 . So if everyone can say prayers of the two families who lost them over nothing. It would be much appreciated from Indiana Brennan.
"Sharon" from Alabama: there's a scripture that speaks about working as unto the Lord. Consider your jobsite as your mission field. Sometimes the natives are hostile. (I'm shopping in a rush but wanted to at least put that on comments. ) Maybe someone knows the scripture exactly.
Okay I can't take it anymore! Did you fire the old sound engineer or cut their pay? The last two podcast have been horrible! I have a 1 1/2 commute to work everyday and when I'm listening to the podcast I can barely hear Martin, Godwin or Stone depending on who is on that day. Si is even worse. So I turn it up and when I do that John David blows the speakers out and it's the same thing with the commercials. Anyway you can get this fixed? I love the podcast but this is irritating as all get out.
So, im guessing that if you make a symbolic peaceful protest during the anthem, that means that you're not patriotic. Small minded people. If anything, protesting is one of the most patriotic things a person can do. Protesting got us our rights. If we were quiet about it, no one would've even cared. It took protests and demonstrations. Some people just have it stuck in their heads that protesting peacefully during the anthem, is a disregard to veterans somehow. Like we dont have people that served and died in every war. Black people have fought and died in every U.S. war. We fought in wars for America just to come home and face inequality and no civil rights. We loved America when America didnt love us back. But i guess protesters dont care about them either? NEWS FLASH: the national anthem has racist lyrics in them about capturing and killing slaves, We just dont sing that part. We only sing the first verse. This country was founded upon racism. Its an undeniable fact. Dont get mad when people call it out and put it on blast. It doesnt mean we dont love this country, It shows that we want to make it better for all people. U dont get to legislate how somebody peacefully protests. Last time I checked, its not against the law to peacefully protest. Some people (like these people on this podcast) have more allegiance to a flag and an anthem than they do to the struggles of other human beings. And always want to talk about love and christianity. Sad case.
Congratulations Martin and Brittany!! 🍾👣👣 Blessings to you!!!
Are they having a baby? I missed it if it is true. Thx in advance.

I did too. I guess they meant she won 2 cars instead of both showcases. She was still awesome.
She started out slow but pulled it out in the end
She absolutely owned Cliff Hangers with a near-perfect win! She did extremely well!
