- I decided to eat and review some Pizza Hut favorites while I reminisce on my fond memories while working two summers at this classy family establishment. I honestly could write a book with all of the stories I have, but these were some of my favorites.

It’s something people do in other videos where they test/review products. I don’t know the exact reasoning behind it, maybe it has to do with keeping things in focus when displaying them on camera? I always assumed he was mocking that and I get a kick out of it whenever he does it lol
2010s UA-cam video with bad cameras that don’t focus well and they put their hand behind the item to make the camera lens focus on the hand. Now that we’re in 4K era, it’s no longer is an issue.
The thing is, though… I don’t think… he’s… mocking it… I think he’s doing it sincerely. Which pleases me even more. #nickheadlore

I'm not a huge sauce fan either. Has to be a certain amount for me. I love Za but I am very picky about it and if I have to get it from somewhere, you better believe it should have options.
If I have to get the hut, I guess. Cici Pizza or Casey's pizza, toppers pizza, I really like a margarita pizza with cauliflower crust, yummy

The reading program you're talking about was Book It. My school participated in it, and I admit, I lied a few times about the number of books I read just so I could get my free pizza. 😆😋
I was the nerd that was mad because you were limited to how many you could get every month. I read ALL the books 😂
I used to give those Book it! coupons out when I was teaching in the late '90s. Kids loved it.
Our region had paired with Pizza Hut for the Accelerated Reader Program. Not sure if it was called Book It, although I mostly excited to read books and eat pizza, so I didn't care what it was called.

Haven't been to Pizza Hut in 30 years after my boyfriend broke up with me in one of their restaurants when I was 17. I don't even know why I avoided PH, the guy wasn't that great, so no traumatic experience there... Must be something subliminal but I feel healed now! Thanks.

Awesome video, Nick! That’s funny about the dipping sauce, I never use it either! After my mom died (years ago) my dad and I went to our local Pizza Hut so often that it got to the point where they would see us, throw our order in, let us seat ourselves, and our food was on the table fast. My sister was mortified when she came to visit “how often do you guys come here!!?? 😱🤦♂️” 🤣🤣🤷♂️

As a fellow former employee, I salute you. We were in a blizzard, no electricity as I sat, swinging my legs from the cut table, waiting for the owner to call from Europe to tell me we could close. Best times of my life. I remember when we went from fresh pan to frozen discs. Also fresh to frozen veggies. Ah, the good times. 😊

In NYC, we didn’t go to Pizza Hut often because there’s pizza literally everywhere, but I do remember the big red plastic cups with the crushed ice (the best ice) and the fake “Tiffany” lamps felt kinda fancy to my child brain.

I got my first job in retail when I was 17. The manager was REALLY sexist (as were most of my managers - shout out to the early 2000s) and he told me he figured I'd be bored with anything too technical because it's not related to fashion (???). Then he asked me to go to the hardware store and ask about "grease nipples" because he said I had to learn how they worked as part of the job. I fell for this, of course. The dude at the hardware store laughed at me and asked if (manager's name) had sent me, because this is what he does to "all the girls who work for him." 🤮

@@NickSmith09 I used to love it when I was in highschool but it was the only option at the time. They tore it down, too. Now, the sleepy little town is full of fancy restaurants and you couldn't find pizza there that didn't come out of a wood fired oven

@@NickSmith09 I believe you. And just yesterday as I was driving through a small town here in Ohio, I noticed that the local Pizza Hut had closed since the last time I passed through. In giant letters in the front window were the words, "Good Bye Pizza Hut!" It left me feeling kind of sad.

I worked there too as a teenager and we always got a personal pan on our shift, and I would stretch mine out to make like a large size thin crust so I got more!! #staffhacks

Nick , My kids would read books for school to get their coupon book stamped by their Teacher , they would get a free personal pan pizza . One yr Pizza Hut did a offer if the kids read a certain amount of books they got a free basketball , lol my kids had like 10 basketballs ( I have 3 kids ) . I used to love the Pizza Hut meal for two when there were dine-ins. I miss that it’s no longer available. I was highly motivated by the school reading program for a personal pan.
adding some cheesecloth or greaseproof paper in front of your light would soften it a bit, further away from the light the softer it'll be, nice blend of stories and food review, reminds me a little bit of report of the week/reviewbrah
Love this vid bc not only is it fun times with fan-fav Nick, it’s also a subtle but real statement that who you are matters, and you can be a fabulous glamazon doing whatever honest work you need to get by financially- it’s nothing to be ashamed of and can result in comedy. So refreshing compared to the “perfect life influencers” who appear to awaken in the morning with the birds, mediate for an hour, do yoga for an hour, journal for an hour etc etc etc. Yea for making the real world just a little more fun :)

Love this Nick! With that microphone, you're actually supposed to talk into the side of that mic, so it will sound a little better if you tilt it slightly back and keep it about 6 inches away from you. It's also distorting at times so you need to turn down the input volume in your computer settings. Keep up the A+ content
I grew up in the very rural midwest where sometimes the only restaurant in small towns would be a Dairy Queen, and not even tornadoes could take them down. So a Pizza Hut remaining open while a natural disaster was occuring inside their very own dining room makes way too much sense 😂

This video takes me back. I worked for Pizza Hut at their national call center back in the early 90s. We only had pizza, salad and soda on the menu. 😹😹😹😹

Mr Nick...you are a funny bastard and would definitely hang out with you! In high school and a while after, many times my friends and I would take our dates to our local Pizza Hut dining room. To us it was foo foo. Also had a great jukebox and refillable plastic drink tumblers which also brought back memories. Cheers from Michigan!!

Our Pizza Hut in Odessa, Missouri is still in it's original 1978 building. They are quite good, I think their thin crust.. nice and crispy! I love pizza hut's sauce. It's pefect.

Our Pizza Hut flooded, too, you would think they'd shut it down after that but it became a Thai restaurant.

I think all pizza huts must be the same because most of your stories happened to me when I worked there. Same type of manager, same pizza eating habits, same AC problems, same bathroom problems. I didn't realize they ran such a tight ship.

I'm a fan of Pizza Hut as well but don't have it often! I just hate when the food loses some of it's crispiness because it's been in the box for more than 5 minutes...then it turns to rubber.😘😺🍕
It is all bread! Too much! I never got why pizza places do bread sticks especially the cheesy ones. It's basically just a CHEESE PIZZA. Maybe I'm wrong. I dunno.

People you work with can make all the difference! I used to work in an animal research lab. One of the girls there would sleep with the Panera delivery guy for free food. There was a food court attached to the research facility.
