Loving these videos, really appreciate the dedication! Y'all are such a great team.. Keep up the good work!
Wow guys!! Like flipping back a picture album. (dating myself)
Such growth and development.
It's why you're so great now.
Thumbs up all the way.
Great episode! Who knew Jeeping could be so humorous.
Lowering your tire's PSI down to 1/2 or even 1/3 normal pressure will help in sand and soft-sand situations. So 15 psi for sand, and 10 psi for soft sand, and your vehicle won't 'dig into' the sand so much.
thank you guys for doing this. looks like fun and now i want a jeep and some turtle stuff::P
had fun watching it!
And thank you for making these videos
I'd love to hear a few updates on how the Rubicon is performing on pavement since the Wranglers always get a knock for on road manners. Looks like it drives on the highway the same as any other car.
We did this at the end of the last episode ua-cam.com/video/mxREaMgSoVY/v-deo.html
The Fast Lane Car Thanks!
Oh man, You could have drove to the summit from the New Mexico side with permission of landowner. Hiking there is much faster if you go to the Mesa top first. There is also a shorter hiking route on the south side but also need owners permission.
At 19:40. That, ladies and gentlemen, that is a walking T-Bone, a Porterhouse and a Standing, Bone-In Rib Roast all in one. And I say this as a proud, card-carrying member of PETA, which means, People for the Eating of Tasty Animals. And Nathan, you really should have gone with him...poor, poor Roman.
Awesome !! Bring me next time please
Agree with the dislike of night-driving despite the enjoyment of long treks, having done many multi-thousand km/mile driving treks. I think it's likely due to location, you being from Colorado, you likely encounter more animals than people in the more urban areas. I know that's my big concern in AB/BC, having hit 3 suicidal deer in my life plus enough other fuzzy kamikaze fauna to fill a dead petting zoo, even though I miss hundreds more than I hit. Australia, especially Tasmania has been the worst for that seeing more nighttime critters in 2hrs than 20 years driving in the Rockies and Northern Ontario.
That's why I hope that the 2017/18 Wrangler update brings better lighting, because while we all love the look of the iconic large pot headlights, they don't do a great job of illumination compared to other vehicles (though they seem to handle shedding mud better). Even with NightHawk or SilverstarUlra bulbs, it's not enough (as the "50-85%" claimed improvement gets halved through the optics of the big reflector and glass lense. The TukLite and Speaker LED options detract from the look, and the KCs look OK but are only marginally better than those pricey bulbs which are still not great for lighting. Would prefer that FCA/Jeep make the bumper lights a two led set for fog (amber) and long-throw driving lights (1000K shifted into the White colour temp please); that would at least give a longer lead-time on road hazards when driving on the rural highways early in the AM or late at night when going to/from the trails, when the deer seem most likely to try and end their lives and take you with them.
It's a long standing well-known issue, and it would be nice to have something a little better from the factory that keeps the traditional look, but gives owners modern visibility options. It's be especially nice for those areas like Oklahoma and SD, where you would have a chance to see hidden critters further off on the flat terrain if you were just given that bit more light to work with.
hey nathan and roman,
can you do the test that i am going to suggest?
the test is to drive the car at 60 or 62 mph and tell the rpm that the car is doing because a lot of cars spins at high rpm and others at low rpm.The difference is the noise of the engine .
Thank you very muchM
lelo chediak The Rubicon will have higher RPM than the others at highway speed because of the higher ratio axles, plus towing the trailer. From the sound of things in the previous video and 70MPH they may have the 4.10 axles (standard on manual, optional on auto). Typically the Unlimited with 4.10 axle without a trailer cruising at 60MPH/100KPH is around 2400 RPM, the 3.73 around 2200, and the 3.21 around 1950 RPM. Also depends on the tyres (add ~100 RPM for the KMs versus Duellers, SilentArmor or SR-A).
Thank you for your answer but i am speaking for not only the rubicon but other cars they review because they review 0-60 mph time and... but never this kind of noice test!!
Hope i guys seen the Gloss Mts that is a beautiful place as well as Black Mesa
Anybody go retrieve the OK belt buckle yet?
It's 4 hours one way from my house or I'd just cruise up and get it... still might if nobody else calls dibs before this weekend!
No! Nathan just tweeted that Oklahoma and Nebraska are still up for grabs! I'm looking forward to California, but I have no idea where their going to hide it. They are so random!
Please please take the raptor there someday!!!!
Why aren't you guys doing this as start of the battle between the wrangler and the raptor? This would be ideal for it
Any idea on time frame that you will be coming by southern IL/ southeast MO I know some good fire trails to go down. If you can make let me know and can hook you up. I would really like to meet you guys. I am a big fan!
When are you guys gonna be in north dakota?
and let the chips fall where they may!
It's gone. Empty hole where it was so I filled it back in. Waste of an evening :(
My kids and I found it yesterday morning!
Nice car
Sand driving in low range is not the smart way to do it. Why?
Because sand doesn't provide enough traction for all that torque. What you do in sand is accelerate mass away from your vehicle (roost) which causes you to move forward, thus you want wheel speed. All that torque in 4lo will either sink you or greatly limit your speed.
Nic3 car
hahah GO OU!
Just To Let Ya Know Cow Chips Is Cow Poop
