Researched so many redirects and this probably now is the most simple and retrievable redirect for srt. i dont think ive seen anything better than this. so functional and quick. thanks for sharing.
Great video, just what I've been looking for. Been climbing MRS for years, recently switched to SRT. What a difference. You're great at explaining things, keep it going.
Appreciate the video and time you take to share your knowledge. Question: @ 1:48 the carabiner is cross/side loaded against the limb. Wouldn't this be bad for the long term health of the carabiner? I don't see it failing in this configuration, but it should be marked and not used for anything else. *edit* @ 2:55 you re-orient the carabiner so I think that answers my question. :)
@@PoplarMechanic no worries buddy, I’m just busting your chops. Capture is the word you’re thinking of..captivate means; to get someone’s attention, or to hold their attention..his way of doing redirects is “captivating” especially when he “captures” the carabiner in that way. ✌️
I will agree that natural crotch redirect is one of my favorites and most used. This is handy if you want to undo the redirect and go back to an original tie-in or hook to a lateral piece of wood where there is no crotch. Thanks for watching Merry Christmas, buddy

Thanks for watching, brotha 🤙
awesome content
Thanks brotha 🤙
It's nice that there are technical elements of the work, it would be nice if you could show the transfer using a hook/harpoon 💪😉🔥 Best Regards
I have the dmm captain hook. I'm actually working on a long lanyard, which implaments the hook at the end. Hopefully next Sundays video
@@PoplarMechanic Great! I'm waiting for another movie with hook in the main role 😉🤙
I love it.
Thanks, man!. It works pretty smoothly!
Nothing could go wrong? I could make numerous things go wrong trying that lol Good thing u know what you are doing there buddy !
😆. Thanks for the cookies, and thanks for watching. Thanks, Holly. Merry christmas
@@PoplarMechanic you are very welcome Dustin ! Merry Christmas to you and your beautiful family as well ❤️
I’m still trying to figure out how to “captivate” the rope with the carabiner. It’s still just completely disinterested 🤔
The alpine butterfly goes into the ears of the pulley, then put the carabiner through the ears captivating the rope
I shit I thought this was the canopy tie video I did. I thought I explained it well in the video

@ethanlancaster76 haha no worries. I see I haven't been in school for a while, lol 😅 thanks for watching 🤙

Thanks, Greg. Merry Christmas 🎅
@PoplarMechanic hope you and family had a great Christmas too 🤟
Why and why it’s SRT MAN no need for hardware to redirect
