Had this for 2 years, excellent.
Pros: super poweful suction, compact, fairly stylish
Cons: Filter needs FREQUENT cleaning as it is small. Bin needs frequent emptying (like every 5 mins) as the particles start blocking the vent
I use it mostly for the car, its a treat after a trip to the beach with the kids or when we let them eat cookies in the car.
I wanted one for every floor and I bought that - but the battery loses it's charge very, very fast. The basement one I've had for less than a year holds a 20 second charge now - and that's barely using it. The second floor one was worse and I had to toss it. The garage one is the best, but that's my second one as the first one died very prematurely. Oddly, the first one I bought which was unbranded and budget priced and outshines all the Shark Vacs and I still use it upstairs.
I know what you're thinking - replace the battery, but aftermarket batteries almost cost the same as buying a whole new unit. Something I should've looked into before making any investment in these.
Many have said this vac stops working after a few uses. Not only do you need to empty the bin, but you need to clean the filter often. Replacement filters can be found online.
I mean, you have to empty the bin on any vacuum, and clean the filter. Come on now.
What you say is very true, I was about to replace the battery and I realized that it was just a matter of cleaning the filter and it worked again.
I just bought and charged ones, it runs about 5-7 min. I could`t done cleaning. I will give it one more try by second times charging. Let see, if same result it is useless. Battery not enough. let see.
