I've watched a lot of videos on stock photography, and most have useful ideas in them, but what makes this standout is the insight it gives to the mindset it takes to adopt this as your full time job and not just as a side hustle. Very instructive, thank you.
Thank you! Nice to see it is useful!
Great video Luka!
Thank you :)
really great tips! Thanks for sharing
Thanks for watching!
I Luka and thank you for your time making quality video for stock-photography lovers. I’m selling stock photos from 4 years now and my average incomings are about 600-700 $ for month. It’s very hard for me to find topics for advanced stock user because, I understand, is more and more simple to make videos for beginners. However, I would like to find videos of portfolio or single photo critiques. This is a suggestion, in case you are looking for some new content for your next video. Have a good luck and thank you again.
Thank you for your suggestions! Yeah, I was thinking about that, spo maybe in the future 😀
Nice video and channel! Looking forward to seeing more videos.

What about property releases when shooting a church or an old house no one lives in anymore?
Well, it depends on the church. Because some churches are only "places of worship", but others also operate as museums, and some are also privately owned. If it is just a place of worship, it should be fine, but for others you will probably need a PR. If you are shooting from the outside it is usually not a problem. Some more popular, famous churches also have their policies online, so you can check before you go there.
For old, abandoned houses - well, somebody still owns that house, so you should have a PR, but of course it depends of what kind of house it is and how wide/narrow you shoot. If it is very generic, with no special recognisable features, it should be fine.
I hope this helps :)
great video, greatadvices, and yes give us a video about keywords..
Thanks, yes, that one is on my "to do" list :)
Ok, here it is, I hope it helps :) ua-cam.com/video/J4pmND73qwQ/v-deo.html
This is inspiring. I'll upload 100 images soon but it's quite discouraging to hear that less than 100 images is a waste of time. I saw your video that said you got £21,000 for only 3 images.
Well, yes, of course, you can earn 21000 or even more with three images. But, if you only upload three images, your chances of selling them for that much are very close to none! You never know which image will sell well, which image will be noticed in the algorithm,... And yes, I know it is discouraging, but it is what it is. Of course, if you have really quality content, then you can do well even with fewer images. But as a beginner, my images sucked and you should upload as much as you can, so at least some of your images are picked up by the algorithm, and start selling. Also, I think algorithm favors contributors who upload regularly and decent amount of images.
Thanks Luka for some easily forgettable but useful tips... can you make similar video for footage also ?
Thanks :) Yeah, probably I can do it in the future! Thanks for the idea!
awesome Luka!
Thank you!
Great information for me! ı don't now the copy space.May be you can tell us about the light in the house shoots.will it be natural light or should we use led or flash?
Thanks man! For shooting indoors, I would say try to shoot with available light, or just add a little bit light where needed. So I would suggest LED lights, flash can be too powerful usually and can ruin the ambient. Customer are looking for more authentic, believable lighting situations these days, not perfetly lit images. Also, if you have to increase your iso, so the image is more grainy, it is not a problem on iStock. But what I hear on shutterstock and adobe it can be problematic.
Thank you for the tips. Looking next episodes about your videos. Keep it rock!
Good content. Are self made cartoon photos worth selling?
Thanks! Well, I am not into illustrations, so, sorry, I can't help you with that! But if you are producing thos, I think it is worth trying!
Sjajno ! Pozdrav iz Srbije
Hvala! Pozdrav nazad v Srbiju :)

Can Africans uploading pictures of blacks thrive in this business?
Yes, of course, I can't see why not! There is a huge demand for diversity, so I think you should try!
Yes, I do pretty good, one of my photos was in the New York Times
