There may never have been a guy who could poach opponent mistakes quite like this guy could. He could do it all by himself and he's still give his teammates credit. This guy was a gem and will be sorely missed.
here in winnipeg in 85 the jets had 6- 30 goal scorers and for awhile the top 3 league scores were Gretzky,Hawerchuk, then Kurri......he was literally the best player next to Wayne....once Paul Maclean had been in a scoring drought for awhile,Dale had the puck going for the empty net and he passed it back so Mac could score, then he started scoring again.....
And we can all agree all the good announcers like John Gurtler, Gary Thorne, Bob Cole, Jim Lorentz, Harry Neale, Mike Robitaille, Ted Darling, etc. are gone. Hell, RJ and Pat Foley just retired along with Dennis Beyak and Terry Crisp.
Glad he at least got to play in a final at the end of his career. Had over 1,400 pts at retirement...and he was 34 and still looked like he could play a few more years
RIP Ducky one of the greats sidenote everybody associated with voting for the Hockey Hall of Fame should get their privileges revoked and should be embarassed for the crime of keeping Alex Mogilny out.
Hockey lost a great alumni, 2 years ago today. On the powerplay with LaFontaine and Mogilny...what a lethal combination. RIP, Dale.

Such a smart hockey player. They don’t make them like this anymore

Many great calls by play by play guy John Gurtler.
Yeah, he was fine. But RJ's version would've blown the roof off this bitch.
Great calls by play by play guy John Gurtler. Unappreciated imo
