    Hi thanks for that video, it's great and works fine!
    Just to make sure, is it should work just once for every time you switch the power on?
    Because if I tried to test it again I need to switch off and then on the power again

    I want to retrofit a lot of the original accessories too but on a e36 compact do you know if bmw still makes the headlights washer kit? Because i was searching used parts in my country but the only thing that it's the easiest to find is the wi-wa module

    • @mrnoname35
      @mrnoname35  3 роки тому

      The original retrofit kit is for sure not available anymore, however I bought myself all the parts separately from BMW directly. Only the module was sourced second hand. Good luck !

      Hi!
      It's better to look directly on realoem with your VIN number as part numbers can vary.

    • @TechTokOffical
      @TechTokOffical 3 роки тому

      @@mrnoname35 not really tho,part numbers are part numbers. Esp when doing retrofit job(im sure u know) using ur own vin will only give u your cars option list. Like when I put a transmission from a 325 in my 328(I know,I had no other choice),when it comes to transmission parts I have to put the vin number for the 325 into real oem. So for us to get the part number for that washer tank,we would need the vin for a M3 that(to my knowledge) wasn't offered for sale here. But the part number would be the same in realoem even if not,it tell us what the proper one would be. Really everyone is interested just that part cuz it would free up a bunch of room for the turbo guys and it also gives the guys looking to run methane a better location. I personally want it cuz I like the way it looks better

    Thank you so much! Could you write a total price for the retrofit? :)

    • @mrnoname35
      @mrnoname35  4 роки тому +1

      Hi!
      If you buy everything second hand, it will cost you around 350€. You can find full retrofit kit including all the parts (used) for around 200€. The front nose panel will be included, but usualy in bad shape or wrong colour, so a respray will be required (~150€).
      Or if you are crazy just like me, you can also buy everything new from BMW. I paid around 600€ for all the parts, +50€ for the Wi-Wa high module which is the only part I sourced second hand. You will obviously also need a respray of the front panel as it's delivered unpainted from BMW. Total cost would be around 800€.
      It's also a good opportunity to change the auxiliary fan, get the front bumper repainted, change all the bumper trims, new bumper grill, .. while takling this project. :)

    • @e36store63
      @e36store63 4 роки тому

      @@mrnoname35 Thank you so much for the information! The only option is the brand new. As I see the second hand parts look a bit sketchy, and I'm not sure they last long. Maybe a few years with a lot of headache with the leaking parts. :(
      By the way thank you for this awesome video!

    • @mrnoname35
      @mrnoname35  4 роки тому +1

      @@e36store63 You are right. At first, I purchased a used retrofit kit and the spray nozzles were leaking, telescopes not working well, and all the metal parts rusty ... . I ended up buying almost everything new from BMW, except the SRA pump & Wi-Wa module as these are expensive and usually never fail. My advice would be to buy the nozzles, telescopes, hoses & clips new .. to avoid any leaking. The rest can be purchased second hand.

      @@mrnoname35 Parts now in hand, thank you! I was thinking about to swap to an Smg reservoir. Could you add a part number please?

    • @mrnoname35
      @mrnoname35  4 роки тому +1

      @@e36store63 It's not a direct swap, the SMG reservoir is located in the front bumper, behind the wheel well liner. It means that you should relocate the windshield pump/connector/hose/level sensor to this spot. Also, your bumper carrier will not have the holes to secure the SMG reservoir in place. You will also need to install the specific SMG radiator cover, that contains a cap and a silicone hose to fill the reservoir which is hidden in the bumper.
      Not sure why you would want to do this, it don't see the value.
