@@newchannel1220 There are accidents on roads all over the country. That’s a somewhat busy road depending on the time of day, because it’s the only road out off the hill southbound from Palos Verdes Estates and Rolling Hills Estates southbound to Western. It’s not a particularly dangerous road if you know how to drive and don’t jerk the car off the road four lanes, over the median, off a curb and head on into a ravine. Oh, and he had great aim also taking out the Rolling Hills Estates sign. That’s quite a feat of awful driving. I used to live there and the only accidents were teens speeding recklessly and very old drivers. Case closed!

Structural rigidity also matters.
I can imagine that in a year or so (after he recovers)Tiger will be a spokesperson / endorser for the Genesis brand doing a commercial on the life saving features of the vehicle,
he's worth a mint to Genesis.
I've actually been surprised that Genesis hasn't already picked him up as a spokesperson over the last several months. But now, he's even more of an obvious pick to be one. That would have been a fatal crash in many other vehicles.
(I'm waiting for the GV70 this year. That'll be my next ride.)
Most likely, Woods will never play golf again, will be crippled for life, and as a result win a billion dollar lawsuit from Hyundai (Genesis' parent company).
@@sarabeth8050 - Lawsuit from what? He was obviously speeding from being late to a taping of a show giving lessons to NFL players. It was his fault. This car saved his life. He'll get millions not from a lawsuit but from becoming their spokesman. He's received well over $1B from endorsements throughout his life. With his recent back surgeries, he was going to be lucky to play again anyways. He last played in the father son event with his son, and that was amazing. Charlie has extreme potential. Once Tiger recovers from two broken legs, he should focus on developing his son further, hosting more tournaments, designing more courses, endorsing Genesis, and other non-playing activities.
No. He'll sue the f*ck out of Genesis and their tiremaker and ruin them. Then he'll go after the tournament organizers for providing him "an unsafe vehicle. Then he'll sue the municipality for not putting flashing "slow down idiot" markers and MPH readouts along the road to warn drivers to stay within the posted speed limit because everyone knows the posted speed limit only applies to poor visibility and wet/icy road conditions. Then he'll go after the asphalt plant that made the pavement mix which had poor adhesion and caused the skid, the concrete curb installers who poured the curbs that caused the vehicle to go airborne, etc, etc.
The car from what I’m hearing was part of a promotion of Hyundai golf classic or something
I am sure GV80 will earn highest safety rating like all past Genesis in the past. Genesis is one of few vehicles the cabin stays intake even on the offset tests. few years ago, GV80 rated highest when GS350 received 2 star rating on offset test. it's a proof high straight steel is the best preserving the cabin.
It's just Genesis GV80, not Hyundai Genesis. The Hyundai Genesis was a specific car under the Hyundai brand, whereas Genesis is its own brand under Hyundai. It'd be like saying "Toyota Lexus LS 500," or "GM Cadillac Escalade."

Hyundai's GV80 was put in a live rollover test instead of using lab dummies. If you don't understand the principles behind crumple zones (AKA crash zones), here's a very basic explanation. Crumple zones are designed to be crumpled to reduce the impact on the passengers. When the outer parts of the vehicle crumple and get damaged, it actually increases the rigidity and strength of the car's inner parts. Essentially, creating a reinforced cabin. This is why modern cars get seriously damaged during an accident and why modern cars are safer than classic cars.
