The outcome shouldn’t be that surprising. Wantep is actively learning and using this stuff meanwhile everyone else hasn’t dealt with this stuff in years.

I think the progression during the show should be a bit more clear which grade they are on when they are eliminated. Makes it easier to make fun of them 👍
I can't believe soda has never heard of or had to use the hammer and nail method to open a bottle of wine. Long long before I ever used it, we're talking years, I knew about the trick. You just hammer a nail halfway in the cork then use the reverse side of the hammer, the forked side and pull it up and out. You gotta be a little gentle with it so you don't just pull the nail out if the cork is super tight but it's always worked like a charm for me
It'd be dope if for each question, the first 3 contestants to answer got points ( 1st = +3 pts, 2nd = +2 pts, 3rd = +1 pts). Then let contestants cash the points out for helpful lifelines like for example: an extra life for 15 pts or stealing a lifeline from another contestant for 10 pts. They would only be allowed to do this once per lifeline at a "CASHOUT" point in the game, which would be when they jump into the next level of schooling, for example: the stopping point when they go from elementary to middle school would be a "CASHOUT" point (also the term works well for a cashapp or coinbase sponsor). The other good reason for the cashout stopping points is that it makes sure the point system isn't too op. It could add even more of a competitive edge and possibly give the underdogs a chance against the some of bigger brains too. but yeah just a thought I had while tuning into the show which is fire btw
9:55 Weeeeeeeell no, but actually yes, by the definition it's not a continent but we just say it's a continent because ,idk they don't want to give too much credit to Asia i guess.
Show doesn’t make sense when you through an active highschool student in the mix, he’s not schooled, he’s schooling still lol . This is gonna make the final so unfair
I mean in fairness to toast wantep literally graduated from highschool within like a year ago while toast it's been over a decade so I think he did pretty well.
The more I see of this, it crosses "Are You Smarter than a 5th Grader" with the 2000s game "WinTuition" where you have to go through to senior year (12th grade). The tricky thing is: you can only miss two questions (wrong answer or time-out) because a third miss means you "flunk out"/"fail". A bit like the syndicated "5th Grader" you have to play through all the grades, but the difference is here you have the "three-miss limit" where in "syndicated 5th Grader" you could miss a lot more questions PROVIDED you at least got the last one right.
this is my second one i'm watching and all i've realized is these questions suck (like the one that asked for two answers) and it makes the show so funny
The ural mountain question made me suspicious about the cheaters. It's a bad question because the caucasus mountains also divide asia and europe, and the divide between asia and europe doesn't have a consensus on the definition, although the Urals are a part of most but not all definitions. It's surprising that a majority got it with no mention of the caucasus or any context or explanation afterwards.
This game show is fun and takes me down school memory lane to test my brain. 8th grade was my hardest. I love science and history, but math: 😩 was difficult in middle school
snuffy was actually right because a snail is an invertebrate. the question was not "what is the name for a group of organisms that does not have a back bone?" it was "what is the name of an organism that does not have a back bone?" and a snail is an organism that does not have a back bone.
Yeah either that or had someone else in the room with him looking up the answers as the questions came in. I'm guessing the episode was planned for it to go in that direction to begin with tho lol
I was gonna answer challenger deep for the water question, I wonder how correct/incorrect that would have been considered, cause it is IN the mariana's trench but... yeah
Heavily, heavily, and I need to stick a third heavily in there depends on the school if you're in the US. Aka was the area you grew up in wealthy or poor. The wealthier ones tend to teach a shit ton from my experience talking to people who come from them, others would make you question how the hell half the people graduated as their reading and writing ability is that of a third grader at best.
