Hope this video helps upgrade your jeep wrangler jk brake lines to extended stainless ones. The ones I'm installing are made by speedline'z off amazon and seem to be very well made only time will tell, hope this do it yourself video helps you install your brake lines easily and flush the system thoroughly.
Please do not torque to 30 foot pounds. I didn't make it past 25 foot pounds and my banjo bolt twisted and stretched. This on a 2007 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited. 40-year-experienced mechanic told me to hand tighten with 3/8" drive ratchet, then just a little tighter. Other sources advise no more than 14 foot pounds.
Hmmm wonder if its a different calliper on the 3.8 jk. Mines a 3.6 it seemed to handle just fine on all 4 corners
Is "Right about there" the specified torq setting???
I remember doing extended lines on my xj. The hardline fittings were all seized. Had to cut them. Put new ones and had to flare the lines again. It was a pita but thats gow it is with an older jeep.
Great video man, thanks a lot
My rear driver side brake line is curved toward the front of the jeep. Can’t figure out how to install the line on this side.
Could I still use these on a 2016 JKU?
Of course. Nothing changes in brake line length between jku and jk for this portion. Only the hardline is longer along the tub of the vehicle
So how come u didn’t just bleed lines as u installing the line ? Like install one line bleed that then 2nd and so on ?
No point better to do all line and bleed system after so you get every air bubble out
What year is yours? Also could I do this with my 2019 sport unlimited 4 door? 😭
About how long are they?
I assume a "Zap Strap" is the the same as a "Zip Tie" ? ;)
Thanks for the Video!
Depending on the humidity it will zip or zap lol
@@ghostlyrich Makes sense. :) Awesome Video!
I’m rear break line made contact with my tire. Any where you recommend zip tie it to?
where are the links ?
Wtf is zap strap? Is that the same as a zip strap?
