Why Super Mario Galaxy 2 is better than the original.

I was so excited for SMG2, but just days before it came out, my Wii overheated or something and I had to send it in to get fixed. So I spent WEEKS with SMG2 in my hands, unable to play it until I got my Wii back. Can you even imagine the suffering? The pain I've gone through? THE TORTURE I'VE ENDURED?

I think my favorite part of these games is that they have so many new and fresh ideas, but they don't stick on them for so long that they get tedious and boring. They let them simmer just enough to where you go "Huh, that's a great mechanic, I love that", but not so much where you go "God please end me, I hate this" Also the music. The music fucking slaps

Yeah I’ve heard that used as an argument against the game where they don’t use their ideas enough. I’d argue that they do though because many of these ideas would inspire the future Mario games and return anyway.

It’s not even close how much better 2 is for me. Galaxy one has some ugly levels compared to 2.
