Nice driving! Now that you've gained access to research, the game feels a lot more open.
Based on what hasn't worked, I think your car may have developed at least one quirk that's being triggered by the effects of a different quirk, which is making it harder to get a correct diagnosis.

Yeah, poking around in megastructures with your car and on foot is a real nice little interlude when it happens. I do like how they've taken all these steps to hint at which way you should go but it still feels like hunting up this little thread of light in a huge dark place.

I think the wipers are triggered by being on an Incline and the light is triggered by the wipers or something similar to that :D
