To me it feels like a tool I'd want to try once initially, and then going forward just using it after eachtime we've made any changes to the website if that makes sense. Would best practice be just doing the free trial initially and go from there? Secondly, if your website has a high number of visitors, would you recommend paying to match that, or okay using a cheaper option and essentially take a smaller sample size?
Hey Jack, great questions, thanks for posting. I would definitely recommend starting with the Hotjar free trial first, then go from there. I don’t use paid ads, but you could potentially supplement to increase your website visitors. The larger the numbers the more reliable they are. Hope this helps. 🤓
Sorry if this sound ignorant. But this hotjar thing something that is making me feel uneasy. And it feels like its tracking my every move. I can see a spinning icon on my screen which means something is accessing my data.
You should do whatever you’re comfortable with. Hotjar is simply a behavioural tracking tool. So if you’re uneasy using it, simply don’t install it. You have to do what you feel is right as the business owner. Hope this helps. 👍🏼
