I am blown away ! Ultra Awesome stuff !!!! I've been out of the loop , so I didn't know this existed . But I have been a Joe fan since a kid buying the first line until damn near the end when things got wacky in the 90s . But as an artist myself I always enjoyed drawing them . Even still now days I will whip up a fight scene or even stuff from my memory of mental images ingrained in my brain from childhood from time to time . I just love the art and the characters so much it will forever be apart of me . This inspires me at the same time makes jealous I don't have this book !!!! LOL !!! Truly epic book right there .
Mine arrived just before New Year. It's like owning a MOC/MIB collection of figures and vehicles (plus all the bonus content) and it all tucks away neatly into a book. Very impressed with the quality.
I somehow never even heard about this until yesterday, but I ordered the Omnibus and Digipack both last night. Looks like it's well worth the money to have all that info in one convenient place.
I think this book is worthy of displaying under glass or clear plastic at a slight angle in an office behind a desk where you can lift the glass and change to a different page occasionally. Or same concept under a glass coffee table in a man cave? I do have some possessions I envision as being enjoyed more thoroughly in retirement. This may fit into that category. Only problem, I'm not really into post '88.
Thanks for posting. I got mine yesterday and it was minty fresh. Unlike your good self, I WAS caught off guard by the size and heft. This is like those Taschen books but even wider. I did not keep the box. Oops. Well done by that whole team on this book.
Fantastic book, I can't wait to get mine, Excellent artwork. And worth the money How do the artists come up with these excellent designs of the toys, it's brilliant artwork.
Man, I was gonna kinda get this, ....I should have.💯 Iconic to alot of us for sure. 1982-84. Those were when I was 9-12? I think but whatever, this is one of the nicest bibles to come out ever. 💯
It's not too late! 3DJoes still has more in stock. You won't regret picking up a copy. Well... you might regret picking one up... but not the purchase!
That’s really cool. I did not buy it since I had bought the individual Gi Joe artwork books, but it looks like this has a lot of additional features including the file card info.
Brian, there's something that I have to inform you and the rest of the community about. Before I say anything, I understand some of you might get pissed reading this and in advance, I'm sorry, but I feel this is very important. As I'm sure all of you are aware, 3DJOES and the maker of this book is "Carson Mataxis" I saw two livestreams of him on his youtube channel, one of which was him showcasing this book, and for the record, the book looks awsome and it's a book that deserves to exist, however, on that livestream and especially the other livestream Carson revealed some thing about himself that leads me to believe he's not a very good person to support. Let me explain, these bad things he said tie back to Ed Morale, which could make one wonder if he's spending too much time with him and agreeing with him too much, that's certainly a possiblity, but I can't say for sure. Anyway, here's what happened, during the livestream for the Art Of G.I.Joe Omnibus, there was a bit where he was talking about an alternate boxart for 1983 Wolverine that didn't make it on the finished box, which okay, but he quoted something Ed morale said that wasn't cool and he seemed to be agreeing with him. Basically the original art that wasn't used featured Cover girl in a different pose and with a face that for me at least made her look too concerned for my taste. When he compared that to the Cover girl on the final box art, he described the final box art by quoting Ed Morale by saying "looks like she's driving a 40 ton tank to go grocrey shopping." Now, I'm not positive if he's either agreeing with Ed or simply quoting him, but this dosen't paint a good picture, I've seen that art, and Cover girl dosen't look like she's "grocery shopping" she looks like she's focused on the mission, I can see Ed being upset they changed it, but it's no excuse to be sexist, (there's never an excuse to be sexist just FYI, and there's never an excuse to be something else I'll bring up in just a sec.) If I were Carson, I wouldn't have quoted that, and him talking about how "emotionless" she looked (especially when there's boxart of male Joes that look emotionless) was just not cool. But it gets worse than that, on a seprate livestream about a book he and Ed Morale made about Package design and brands and him showcasing it. As I'm sure some of you know, somethings from decades ago are problematic, and most of us realize that now, and just for the record, despite how wrong what I'm about to mention is, I'm not saying "Carson and Ed shouldn't archive this and put it in the book" I do think it's best to perserve history, even the bad stuff, because if you don't you're bound to repeat the mistakes these things made, but going out of your way to defend it is where I draw the line. When he gets to page 42 of that book, it showcases the breakfast foods for the quaker oats company, the page also shows the former mascot for it, 'Aunt Jemima." As we all know, this mascot was taken off quaker oats packaging, and rightfully so, Aunt Jemima was absolutley tastless. Carson had the nerve to say this in the video, "Aunt Jemima, unfortunetley, they took her off the package, don't wanna get into too many politics, but I think that's ridiculous, she sold her image and that's a proud thing, she made a lot of money." end quote. I won't go over why she was a racist sterotype, but what Carson said was absolutley disgusting, the fact he refers to it as a "proud thing" makes me believe he's a white supremisist, since "Proud" is a common word in those awful groups. Also, the women who played Aunt Jemima were barley payed (if even payed at all), It was the white men that forced them to be to be Aunt Jemima that made all the money and glory, and the women who did the work aunt jemima did, got paid zero to be badly treated by white men, the point is what Carson said was both racist and sexist, and I believe he's both, for that I will never own this omnibus or anything Carson makes. To wrap up this comment, this comment dosen't exist to shame anyone for buying this omnibus, I simply want to inform all of you of the person who made it, and why supporting him might not be the best idea. For me at least, seperating art from the artist depends heavily on how problematic they are, Carson for me at least is too problematic to support, Carson will make money off this book, that intern helps Carson to continue his sexist and racist behavior, Carson will be able to manipulate people through if not his regular videos, his livestreams at least, I refuse to be play even the smallest part in that. Again, I'm not mad at anybody,(except Carson and Ed Morale) but be aware of the person you give money to.
Thank you for helping to get the word out, and THANK YOU for the many years of support and encouragement!

I just ordered it. This looks AMAZING. What an incredible product. Can't wait to get it and dig in!!
I ordered it a few days ago. Aside from an Order#, have you heard anything?
@@MSgt_0699 not yet. They listed it as a pre-order, so I assume there will be a wait. (Hopefully not a long one!)
@@MSgt_0699 I just received the email saying it has shipped.
@@gordongraham7 Yeah, I noticed the "Pre-Order." Ah, well. Just like waiting for my Hooded Cobra Commander, I guess.
Mine is on the way. Can’t wait for it to arrive. Absolutely beautiful.
Fantastic book, I can't wait to get mine,

How do the artists come up with these excellent designs of the toys, it's brilliant artwork.

Very nice! Good buy!
That is a beautiful book.
Wow an obvious must have for the many fans of ARAH around the world 🌎
Awesome book
I wonder if the artwork from the GI joe sleeping bags is in the book?
They need to make a book like Kenner just did with Star Wars going in depth with every figure starting from the first one.
What is the name of that book? By who? Where do you get it? 20:11
I got it as well. I LOVE IT. So happy I backed it.
That is super cool
That’s fricking awesome bro
Amazing. I cant wait for mine
Such an awesome tome! And am I the only one thinking that Hasbro should really reissue the old Mail Away posters (or at least "To the Rescue.")
What a fantastic product for Joe fans. I bet that book could sink the Flagg.
I ordered one last week. I had no idea that this was happening.
I got mine last week and I was i shock. Such an incredible product and I'm so glad I backed this.
😍
