I know y’all are dealing with a lot of stress and that you’re still in the thick of it with this whole situation, but you truly seem so at ease here. You appear unified and full of positivity right now and it is really enjoyable and encouraging to watch. I am really rooting for you and I am feeling the urge to tackle my own finances and clutter and ALL of my 💩. You guys are awesome to share this process with us.

I seriously have been loving this whole series, monday my husband and I paid off a huge debt and the feeling is so refreshing still not out of the water but we are now in the shallow end. Were even going to use the budget chart for other things, now that we are current.

The mindset that “oh it’s on sale” is really detrimental. Just because it’s on sale doesn’t mean you need to buy it. If something is regularly $700 and it’s on sale for $500, you didn’t save $200... you spent $200

Like you said, the house really isn’t the problem, the spending was. But you’ve reigned that in now and keeping hold of the house will slow the journey of getting out of debt but won’t stop you getting out of debt. I’d be less panicked about selling the house quickly and focus on keeping on with the budgetary changes you’ve made the past month or so. Praying for you, cheering you on and LOVING this series xxx

That’s it I’m officially closing my kohl’s card. It’s always the top of my snowball and I’ll end up shopping there again because of stupid coupons. Although I pay it off it was NOT budgeted for so I never make progress on the rest of my debts. I’ve been afraid to close because it’s my oldest credit account but screw it! Closing that sucker!

Good job! But $700 in groceries is still just so much for a family like yours (# and age of kids), especially if you still have stuff in your pantry. I spend about $400 for my family of 4 (including 2 teenaged boys), and we only eat out about 1x per week. But I know it's a process. You'll get there! Gazelle intense!!

Fast forward and now I’m married to a great guy, and we’re currently trying to get better with our finances. I was on UA-cam late one sleepless night and thought of you guys and looked your channel up. Only to realize you guys just started this series. My husband and I have been budgeting since the middle of January and wow, it makes a HUGE difference and we’ve saved so much money. Before we would just go and get whatever we needed or wanted (within reason) and at the end of the week he would do the budget and say we spent ‘x’ amount of dollars and I would be like, HOW! On WHAT!? All the little trips to the store getting things here and there and eating out adds up so quick and you don’t even realize it! My only regret is that we didn’t start budgeting and sticking to it sooner. Definitely a learning and eye opening experience! So appreciative of y’all making these videos because it keeps me motivated to not give up!
