I don't know why, but I love watching Artanis videos. Maybe because he's so heroic and honorable in the Starcraft 2 Story, maybe because his voice is hype or because he looks cool as fuck with his twin energy blades, I just love him.

No wonder, considering her last death
If she had not pushed top, their core would have died. It had three catapults on it.
she didnt need to push, she defended the 1st wave of minions with catapults on it, and that was enough, should have have headed to enemy core after that, they would have won before the next wave of minions got there in time to do much damage, no need to get top mercs.
her last death had nothing to do with top, she ran alone right into 3 members of the enemy team farming lower boss and died almost instantly. One gotta learn own limits, probably.

I think another important change to Artanis during the rework was changing how he reduced the cooldown on his shield. It used to be that only auto attacks would reduce his cooldown, but now he can also gain CDR with his dash by hitting not only heroes, but also minions, mercenaries and monsters. So now Artanis is a strong solo laner when you're able to duel in a way that allows you to hit both the hero and the minions in a single dash to get an almost instant reset on your shield.
Understanding the shield cooldown and learning how to kite just a little bit is a very integral part to playing Artanis.
Actually, getting CDR for trait on Q was a talent before his rework. But they made that baseline the same time they made Zealot Charge baseline.

Don't get mad at the Sonya. She was pushing back the other lane because it had catapults pushing close to the core.
julbot1 if she had been with the team they could have pushed core. Even if her play was good, she wasn't with the team and didn't communicate.
Well, it's nice to see that your team's Dibbles took your criticism to heart and strove to improve, rather than getting salty. He was getting some work done late in the game.

Players don't seem to understand how much damage a lv 20+ team can do to a core.
I love how you spent the first bit of the game expounding on and explaining Artanis and his kit, and then at one point, you're just like, "Hold up... We're losing. Let me actually win this game real quick."

I don't think you mentioned how they took part of his 13 talent Zealot charge and gave twin strike a small charge at targets baseline.
Alan Clippard That's always been baseline.
Also how they made it trigger on the edge of the hit-boxes rather than the center so that there was more consistency in the charging.
Dan Callaghan iirc the level 16 just made the range bigger on the charge. It still had the bug(?) that you would charge once in range of the center of the hatbox and not the edge so for Valla he'd dive at but Azmodan it was more like half a step.
It was in before the rework, but at one point the charge of his (W) Twin Blades, was not baseline: heroespatchnotes.com/hero/artanis.html#patch2016-04-19

Man one of my fav move with Artanis was to use the purifier ult, and then swap with the target to body block them like some jackass door man.
Artanis is one of my most played heroes,and the first one I ever owned. He was always fun to me. Haven't played him in awhile though.
I love this series, I hope it can stay this consistent as long as possible! Love you Pally.

I always find it hilarious how Illidan is not only susceptible to blinding abilities (despite already being blind fluff-wise), but is hard-countered by them.

A great point to make is that his Q does reduce the cooldown on his shield overload. You can build Artanis to have insane amounts of shield with great uptime.
Artanis is seriously underrated. He's a beast of a tank and can dish out a lot of damage in team fights and can easily 1v2 some heroes. On top of that he combos really well with his swap. Run him with garrosh or diablo and you can effectively throw a priority target all of the way back into your team. I absolutely love how they changed him and he's become my main melee warrior pick.
When you was asking Sonya about the camp i remembered a video that was thrown because of it. "And then wat do we do? WE GET A CAMP!"

Pally, not losing your own core trumps getting a Keep. Clearing a wave or two gives the entire team more room when next objective spawn. Sonya was not wrong to defend.
I agree fully here, he was freaking out when she was doing the right thing, the catapults couldve done lots of damage to the core if they all puyshed
He was freaking because Sonya did mercs.
niCole Bright watch the game again. Mercs was after Sonya defended core and after their push was over. Again a correct call.
This series has legit helped me become a better HotS player, sadly most of my teammates have NOT watching this series lol....its painful
his biggest change was on the 16 talent tier, the only option was zealot charge, they made his W have a much smaller baseline charge forward effect and you could still take zealot charge to upgrade it, but were no longer locked into that as your only lvl 16 talent option.
Pally, when Illidan was piloting their Terror and pushing your top Keep, you could have blinded him at literally any point and saved the structure, lol.
I always pick Seasoned Marksman lvl1, because when you get the quest done you also get more shields.
When the swap change happened my initial impression was that I would never be able to land a big swap, it would just be too difficult to do properly. I was wrong. It's actually pretty easy to hit. I managed it the first time I tried.

@MFPallytime, why not go follow through @ 7 then Triple Strike @ 13? More potential burst.
TheTidobanditto yeah that's the way I like t oo play him. Critical on top of critical for pve too.
if having to be aggressive to keep your shield cooldown reset, loving titankiller, and having the talent that makes double strike do more dmg to objectives...wouldn't you want to go Triple strike instead of the swap upgrade? would think the extra hit would help in all of this more than the swap upgrade?
Gotta push the keeps for that dank exp.

As someone who's two most played characters are Artanis and Greymane, Artanis suffers from Greymane syndrome far worse than Greymane. (My third most played, Arthas, also suffers from Greymane-Artanis Sydrome to a slighlty lesser extent.)
Is artanis' playstyle similar to kled's from league? I'm main bruiser/tank characters and I don't know if I should buy artanis because so far the only bruiser characters I like are anub and diablo
This game has some really good representation of the game state as of late, no one seems to want to do the correct thing. I know QM is normally bad but it feels ESPECIALLY worse since just before the release of KT(Not Kael).

I think people don't want to push the core directly is because they play a lot of matches against AI where you get more xp if you kill everything before killing the core. I find myself doing the same thing in quick match especially if we are dominating the game. It's a bad habit.

TrinityGunslinger I'm fine where I'm at. Just got 'tickled' by it in my part of Georgia. It just knocked the trees on the power lines and we have a little flooding but it's nothing like Florida/coastal Georgia as well the islands. Prayers out to them

Pallytime I think you and squadron should get together and play Divinity: Original Sin 2! It's a Co-op turn based rpg game that is soooooooooo much fun like really. It's like playing DnD just without you guys having to keep track of stuff since the game does it for you!

After my experience as playing a SHIT ton of Artanis, it has come to my knowledge that he can pretty much 1v1 most heroes just for the sole fact that if you're balls deep in the 1v1 then you can't die.
... Except % Health Attackers... They're too much...
Any one that built artanis as anything but a bruiser a true front liner not a bullet sponge is wrong lol.... Artanis is one of the most devastating melee heroes in the game with shield battery follow through triple strike and titan killer good lord even fully built butchers have problems with him.
Pally you have a movement problem. If it isn't Garosh, it's Dibbles. You need to talk to Tim about that.
