For anyone who doesn’t know, look at the horizons through a camera. That’s your best shot of seeing them.

It can be seen in Vancouver, BC and the surrounding suburbs even with all the light polution. It is more pronounced when seen through a cell phone camera or tablet sadly.

This is terrifying. The Carrington Event in 1859 was so powerful that it electrified the power lines and communication lines. If this is so, our power grid could get knock out and this will affect us big time.

@@mikelbrenn111wow your the first person mentioning this and the catastrophic damage could be devastating if this again. The fact that people think it’s beautiful to witness really explains how dumbfounded the general population is

Yup. This is the end of modern human civilization. I feel like I've discovered something extremely forbidden. Something that shouldn't be known to the general public. This is just a catastrophic event masked as a beautiful spectacle. It's been nice knowing you guys.

pink isn't a bad sign, the colors are all caused by ionized elements in the upper atmosphere. Oxygen lets off green light in the lower atmosphere and red light when it is in the upper atmosphere. When nitrogen is hit it lets off blue and red light. When you mix all of those colors together you get everything from green to pink to purple. All the colors and the distance at which you could see it tells us is how powerful this particular storm was, not that the magnetosphere is weakening.

@@asiamayne I am not a scientist at all. In layman's terms the Earth's magnetic shield is lower than normal. A solar event happens. Northern lights are seen much farther south than normal. What part of that would not work with a flat earth concept? If you are more of a scientist please explain what part of the phenomena does not work with a flat earth and why.
