this man has read more webtoon episodes then I have read manga and webtoons my whole life
fr the moment i saw the main character of 'a life of a quack healer' I was like "YOU ARE DOKJA AND JOONGHUYK'S SON!!!"
One of my standouts this year was Pick Me Up! and I'm surprised you've yet to mention it with how interesting the premice is and the great action scenes
I was genuinely surprised by "I was the final boss" I don't know what I was expecting really, when I went in.. to be underwhelmed or whatever.
I guess I expected "just another hunter/tower series".
But there's something about the mild comedy and the healthy dose of action in a (to me) non-typical scenario.
That the fightsexual Baphomet ropes me into reading each new episode.

I’m new here and don’t know if you covered this webtoon but “The last golden child” is an amazing action packed fantasy with lots of Norse mythology and a strong lovable female main character and amazing side characters with amazing art. I absolutely love the different arcs and world building it has.PLEASE GIVE IT A READ it’s a really good binge read and it’s around its halfway point I believe.

So I don’t know if you have heard of this manhwa or not but I highly suggest you read it if you haven’t but there’s a manhwa called “pick me up infinite Gacha” and it’s really good but there like about 90 chapters as of me writing this but I highly recommend you read it and even though there are 90 chapters you probably will read it in like 2 days because it’s really good.
Surviving the game as a barbarian and priest of corruption have been the standouts for me.

if you like fl's with gremlin energy i can recommend "The Apothecary Diaries" it's an anime but the fl is great and really funny + the story is interesting and unique.
Honestly, was thinking the same thing when he brought it up. For me, it's a satisfying watch too, definitely one I look forward to each week.
@@Ins0mn3sia Totally agree i think maomao and nearly all girls in that anime are one of the best female characters in general in the last few years (with frieren) and the story itself is really great
@@_shadow_3103 Yeah, I don't generally care for all the "best girl" stuff.. But as female characters go, those in Apothecary Diaries are generally well done, not just some trope with a pretty face, or straight up fanservice bait.
Anyone really from the show is a deserving contender for the fact that they're a satisfying breath of fresh air with how the well done they are.
Man, I wish I was a better record keeper for these things. I don't know what is a holdover from 2022, and what's a new start in 2023.
From this video I've added at least 2-3 that piqued my interest.
So, with that said I can't recommend a 2023 series with certainty. However, there are some I started recently and will definitely recommend.
The Constellations are my Disciples, I don't think it brings much new to the table with where it sits in the genre/sub-genre. But I like the MCs no nonsense attitude.
Eleceed, now here I thought it was just another superpower "awakened" fantasy.. and in some respects it kinda is, but the thing that's hooked me and had me go through 100 or so episodes in the past 3-5 days is the character growth. There's comedy, there's the action you expect from this kind of series, a healthy dose of power trip, the art is great, the characters and their relationships and growth therein feels natural. Like you could meet them on the street and you'd see them as the story shows you, then they'd grow on you.
Something of a personal "favourite" at the moment for me, is Ordeal. The powers feel different, but familiar. The loose historical referencing, inclusion of mythologies and such as roots to naming for some such powers. It might not be anything new in the grand scheme of things, but there's pieces of it that have is hooks in me. The music in each episode is one such thing.

honestly my fave of all time is noose I really am a sucker for this dark raw atmosphere and the heroine is pretty and smarty and does not fall for ml too fast aka not "easy". (and it has some hot scenes sooo... )

This year was realy good, I find a lot of series that i liked, I just whanted to recomend a webtoon named The Crown Princess Scandal, its realy good and a love the famale lead (yeah its a romance and dont has any fantasy elements but the female lead just like you said in the video) i hope you like it

20% Western
I feel bad for Western artists, but then i remember that a lot of them draw some unsavory stuff and try to normalize it. I can't specify what unsavory stuff or UA-cam is gonna strike me despite never making a video.
Pretty sure u r talking only about one artist (boyfriends artist that some of what was said about them was fake and some was stuff they did almost ten years ago) and it's sad that because of one artist u think the others also deserve this treatment. Like i can be wrong but i do follow a lot of the western creators on twitter and am seeing nothing wrong but if u do disagree with me or u r thinking of a different person do tell me
@the0black0bullet You misunderstood me. There's a YTber that straight up is like this channel but focuses mostly on the negative aspects of Webtoon. Aka most Western Artist cause the only positive Webtoons he talks about are literally Korean while he finds lots of terrible and awful but somehow popular Western Webtoons that should be ban but somehow they aren't banned and instead have a cult following of something wrong. Forgot the name of the channel. All I can remember is that his logo is of a drawn German shepherd.
