  • Video on changing the spark plugs on my 2015 Mazda 3. Should be the same for any non turbocharged 2.0L or 2.5L engine of this era. This motor is 2.0L.
    Spark Plugs: AutoLite XP5682 (4 PK): amzn.to/3KeB7hM
    Tools needed:
    3/8" ratchet
    Short and long extensions
    8mm socket
    - above items linked as a set here: amzn.to/3R5nMdh
    14mm spark plug socket: bit.ly/4107Hdm
Feeler / Gap Gauge (not the same as used): amzn.to/3RZZemm
Needle nose pliers (not the same used) amzn.to/3I6P52w
Penetrating spray: see local home center.
    Patience ;)
Mazda recommends changing the spark plugs every 120,000km (75,000 miles).

Thanks so much for this. I’ll be using this video next weekend to do this job. I can’t believe how much money you can save by doing your own maintenance.

@@taichihead42 Agreed. I'd stay on the lower side of those specs.

No need for dielectric grease? And if so, where?

It is optional. If you do want to use it, put a small amount on the inside of the spark plug boot. Use something like a Q-Tip to apply.
