BE CAREFUL when watching the video you are waiting for THUNDER, LIGHTING and RAIN SOUNDS that can put you to SLEEP!!!
Hello viewers and subscribers of the Alex Wild channel. At the construction site of my dugout, the weather constantly surprises me. First a sunny morning, then a cloudy day and a downpour with a thunderstorm, and in the evening a beautiful silence that was accompanied by endless birdsong. Spring birdsong is just a joy to my ears.
Today I was doing my vegetable garden) Planted onions and flowers. The beauty of course turned out not to convey it even through the screen. Now I wonder if the onion will grow on sandy soil? It will be a good experiment. Well, then I spent the whole day working on my water storage device for collecting rainwater. Periodically I hid from a thunderstorm with rain in my house underground.
In the evening, as I said earlier, the rain stopped and I was able to sit around the campfire. The atmosphere of complete solitude and reading a beautiful book by candlelight inspired sleep. After all, the best sleep is sleeping in the fresh air. Get out into nature more often, I will not advise you bad)

Hi! I decided to create a second channel "Sounds of Nature by ALEX", on which I will upload videos with sounds of nature. I love nature very much, and I like all natural sounds: birds singing, water murmuring, rain noise, wind noise. These sounds calm me down. If you have trouble sleeping or you just want to enjoy the sounds of nature, then visit my new channel. Today we will listen to the sounds of a hand stream. Looking ahead, I will say that it is here that I would like to build a small hunting hut. A magnificent quiet place where the water murmurs and you can retire with nature. Enjoy watching!

У вас золотые мужские руки, у чистое, доброе сердце, спасибо вам за то, что вы прказываете мужскую работу , зато что вы любите природу и так бережно к ней относитесь крепкого здоровья, счастья, благополучия , храни вас Бог!
thanks
I'm 67 also and I love these videos
I am a 67 year old female and I have to say I stumbled upon your videos by accident. I love watching them! What I can't figure out is what keeps your dugout from getting flooded from the snow and rain? New subscriber here and I think your channel is awesome!
Same reason houses don't get flooded.
@@burgerkingfries4941 houses aren’t underground like this dugout though
@@burgerkingfries4941 basements get flooded all the time. The dugout is basically a basement.
I believe it's because of the sandy soil.
The same question bothered me.
Everything looks amazing. In a world of too many words and chaos, I love your content of nature, simplicity and silence. I look forward to seeing your videos every week. Thank you so much for sharing.
I agree whit you!
Agree. . . watching these videos gives us an escape from that nutty world around us. . . really takes it away and then when you realize it's gone; you never want to go back. . . I love these videos of silence and building and growing without having to listen to chatter and sales pitches. . . thumbs up
I've just bumped into this channel, and I agree it looks like a nice getaway spot. Though I did spot off-road tyres' tracks and boot prints in some videos ( on my big 4K screen ) that the editor missed, maybe he lives a short distance away, that'd explain all his water, food and battery tools and camera recharging. It's an interesting watch though.
The garden and flowers are a nice touch to your Subterranean Chateau.
Have a wonderful weekend.
Never in my life have I wanted to give up my house for a place in the woods. Since watching you I think about doing it every day lol. Love your videos Alex, keep up the great work.
I’ve been living vicariously through people like Alex!
Dit my friend 1 life live it xx keep me posted xj
☔️Loved seeing the stormy sky and drops of rain touching your finger tips. 🌷So Beautiful are the spring wildflowers blooming in front of your window. 🥰You bring much love🌹
I have what was supposed to be a root cellar but sat doing nothing for over 8 years and now it’s going to be transformed into a dugout thanks to your videos 👍. I enjoyed all your videos thank you for sharing. Please make more.
thank you too!
You are a true outdoors man! It is so obvious you love the outdoors, being in nature, and being creative. It’s fine, you don’t have to speak in your videos, just watching you work is enough. You are very skillful and talented and I hope you pass along those skills to your sons.
И не страшно одному ночью в лесу??? Обожаю ваше видео..у вас золотые руки... Вы все можете. Супер.
Awesome video Alex. Spring is back. Loved that you actually sat outside and read. You work so hard and are constantly moving. it’s nice to see you sit and relax a little. Your cooking is second to none. Thanks as always for sharing. I truly look forward to each one.
Thank you!
@@alex-wild great video. Only criticism you don’t speak bud not a word. At least tell us where you are what you are doing. Etc.
@@townhillboy.8648 I enjoy the mystery of his projects. "What the heck is he building now? Oh, I see now."
Question: how u don't have a vegetable garden. Wouldn't that help ALOT?
Nice to see you growing a front garden for the nice little hobbit hole :)
Thank you!
Hobbit is just what I thought of! ❤️ First time viewer, instant subscriber!
These storm videos are my absolute favorite! Thanks for making them for us.
peace, quiet, solitude, and good food - how wonderful. thank you for posting these videos and sharing your life with us.
yes you eat better than i do lol
Absolutely loving the house now, it has come in so much, now that the roof and outside is being sorted, come the late spring and early autumn when the grasses and forest floor is covered it will look so natural, love the candles, looks like the bed is a bit hard, a mattress would be a good idea
Sugiero compre un colchón para cama de hospital, son flexibles no pesan y estaría súper para su cama de la cabaña además son con forro de plástico fácil de limpiar, felicidades bonitos tus videos 😊🌺🇲🇽
The simplicity, and the quiet are glorious.
I love your videos, Alex. Keep up the great work! All the best from Australia.
Thank you!
Absolutely loved the time lapse night into morning sky, well done! The flowers are lovely & add such a nice touch. The meal looked so yummy. That bed looks so hard to sleep on but as hard as you work, you could probably sleep on anything. Take care & thanks for another great video.
This man is living my dream. How peaceful this must be.
Been watching since the start of your build. Great job!! Love it!
Hello 👋 thank you
I love all of your videos. You are a good man, I can see it in your eyes. I wish you all the best, from Chicago area, USA.
thank you!!!!!!
I've been watching and liking, just subscribed. The forest fire must have been severe though recovering nicely. How you are recovering and using felled trees for your escape is a testament to what can be done.
This channel was recommended for me 3 months ago, and since then it has been the only channel I actively look for updates on. Great content, excited to see where it takes me this episode.
Thank you 👍👌😊
Thank you for support
Beautiful! Such peace and solitude. Please keep posting from the dugout.
I am so happy to see your subscriber ship is growing Alex. Your posts are the sweetest most wonderful part of my week. Even my cat visits my IPad when I tune in. Gratitude for sharing part of your home & life with us.🙏💙🙏💗🙏
Hello 👋 thank you 👍
when i cant fall asleep, i watch vids of dugouts and rainy forests.
so relaxing.
THIS has been such a fine video! I, too, am planting onions. I have prepared my soil over the years as you are demonstrating to improve fertility. Your dugout is just fine. Walk On my friend!😍
thanks
Entertaining video, as always! I just realized something---Alex seems to always have a purpose for everything he does, even if we don't know right away what it is.
"So why did he place two small logs on either side of the fire?" I asked myself, and then bingo! To support his shish kebabs y'all! What a guy.
You're right) thank you for your attention
I am looking forward to spring at your dugout!
😊👌
Wild flowers on the roof would be cool 👍
Ahhhh….another relaxing video to start the day out. Awesome job, Alex. 👍🏼
Thank you 👍
Felicitaciones por compartir sus vivencias sus construcciones en una bella naturaleza ... gracias por estar maravilloso lugar saludos desde Chile
thanks
You're living the dream so that we can live vicariously through you! Keep it up and I'll be there with you on a little vacation every time!
Dankeschön für das schöne Video, es tut mir so gut anzusehen. Ein Traum von Freiheit in der Natur. Super was du dir da geschaffen hast.
Um pedaço do céu na terra!!! Lindo!! Parabéns!!!
thank you!
Spring is coming. ☘️ I am sure you will make a wonderful camp in the renewed nature. We are looking forward 😇🙋🏻♂️
It was so nice to see you smile, it’s very rare and it raised a smile from me, thank you 👍😊
thank you))
Looks like a (Hobbit Cabin) 5:40 The (Rainpond) 6:20 will bring 🐦 and other Wildlife, nature is amazing.
The onion garden 3:58 will be amazing this summer.
thanks
Make a nice Garden so you get lettuce peppers cucumbers onions pumpkins Etc I love the way you did the little pool that save rainwater that is genius
I enjoy your channel very much. It relaxes me and transports me out of the city and into nature as intended. Thank you.
Your place is LOVELY as is... I can only imagine when your plantings start their MAGIC ! 😍❤😄
brilliant video , it all looks gorgeous , the house , the food , the forest and the quiet , lucky you well done my friend , good luck and stay safe from wales .
Hello 👋 thank you 👍😊
With all the additions and improvements you've made the dugout is looking more like a home and less like a hunters' cabin. Not to mention the flowers and veggies being planted. The place is looking amazing.
thank you!
Another great visit to the dug-out! I’m not sure it would be for me, but it’s always interesting to see how you continue to improve your space! Thanks for sharing!
thank you!
I found this channel recently, now I've binge watched the whole Dugout series up to this point. The food scenes always make me hungry! Curious: how much colder is the underground box than the 'sauna' room above it?
Looking good. Love the flowers
Like your water collecting pond, clever. Must say your dugout is the best I've seen.
You are to be complimented. You are always improving your dugout. Your meals are great as well.
Hi Alex is a wonderful sunny weather very peaceful.the birds sound like your flower and nice ..more video have a nice day..❤❤❤👍👍👍
Smart - cooking over coals - a lot better then cooking over flames. I use Cajun seasoning also on mine with onion / green peppers. Thank you for the video - take care - be safe.
Relajante listo para dormir. Gracias por compartir tu afición. Saludos cariñosos.
Dude your videos are so amazing. Always get excited when I see a new one. Great way to start the day…….watching your amazing skills and seeing your handsome face…..double win!
I was wondering if the cactus had become compost. Nice to see him in the window again
👌👍
Amazing. I've watched your previous videos, amazing work. You've essentially built for yourself a really nice underground living space, awesome work. I am curious though, what do you do when nature calls or when you need to bathe? Just curious.
yes...this is a difficult question. With the toilet, everything is simple, with washing it is more difficult. I come for 2 days and don't have time to get very dirty, and in summer there is a river 2 km from the dugout
Wow amazing
Oh the sounds of a storme how wonderful your little cottage in the woods is looking really good .
Alex you the best I consider a very smart man you do like nature so much it’s beautiful to leave how God created natural;god bless you
thank you!
Alex, you have mastered a new profession: landscape designer!)) As always, everything is on top!
Một căn hầm độc đáo. Tuyệt vời, tôi thích nó
You continue to make your dugout and now little garden so lovely . Great idea for collecting water . Am sure there are times you just wish you could stay there .
I always want to stay there for 3-4 days...but I have a job and a family....That's why I usually come for 2 days
Let it rain!! Nice water catchment basin... 🌧👏🏻
I’ll be over next week to work on my bedroom addition, haha! Keep making videos, love em
I love how your living quarters are immaculate but your woodpile is usually in one state of mess or another.
For some reason it seems to me that the woodpile does not require cleanliness, maybe I'm wrong)
Alex you make me hungry with all that great looking food you make. Yummy. You could have a little community out there. Great work.
Thank you 👍
👏 👏 👏 Alex Uzbekistan 🇺🇿
You have very creative ideas! You are well done! you really love what you do, keep it up, good luck in your work))
thank you
I love your work Mr Wild.
thanks
You live my dream life. Flower garden and all🌸🌸🌸🌸🇿🇦💫💃🏻🌈
Alex, I love the videos when it rains and how you take care of the flowers, watering them!
I admire your skills. The things you do are amazing. Especially to most people who’ve never even been camping much less surviving very well deep in the mountains. I would love a week in solitude in such a beautiful place. Nothing but the sounds of you and nature. Work hard all day for your everyday needs n sleep well at night.
A lot of the rain appeared to be running up the funnel instead of down. I absolutely love the catchment idea, also the sauna you have, in the snowy winter, is a dream of mine.
I enjoyed this video can't wait to see more videos, and great ideals. Looking forward to seeing how the garden turns out.
Hi Alex I have followed you from your first video they are so good for the soul just nature's sound and scenery to die for,the nearest thing to heaven how fortunate you are to be part of that scenery, may you enjoy more videos in the future.
Regards from Hereford UK
thanks
great video. Love this adventure. Thank you for sharing the video
you are the man alex! love the videos. greetings from usa
Thank you 👍
I would very happily LIVE there and not pollute the world anymore. Collecting rainwater and solar and a composty toilet! AWESOME and very cozy
Thank you Alex for the upload! Great way to start my morning before work ((:
😊👍
Great video once again Alex! I have to ask, and forgive me if it’s been covered already, or not seen by me. Do you have a smoke or carbon monoxide detector in the hut? With all the cooking, heating you do with the stove, and candles for ambient lighting, I think you should invest in one. They sell them now as a 2 in 1 detector. Keep up the great content!
I’ve been watching your videos since you started building the underground unit. I was wondering what part of the country you are in. Narrating once in a while would be nice too. I’m in Oregon. Willamette Valley area. Grew up in the woods so this takes me back in time. 😊
I was wondering also. I'm in Grant's Pass. Oregon.
Your subtitles are nice and give a glimpse of your humorous personality. Very nice work. The crocuses are so pretty outside your window.
Oh wow here I go again but I just had to say your dinner looked delicious 👍😊
thank you
Thanks for your content, it's looking so nice. So peaceful 🍀.
Greetings from the Netherlands 🇳🇱
thank you too!
thsnk upu for sharing
Another great video Alex! I have enjoyed watching you build the dugout! And your cooking is amazing! Can you please tell us what you used for the spice in your barbecue skewers? I'm guessing paprika?
the spice set consisted of a mixture of peppers, salt, paprika
glad I came across this channel new here I find these videos so relaxing just watching you build in silence is soothing
I always feel so relaxed after watching your channel
You don't half eat really well the food you made looks fantastic and your still making me hungry 😋 enjoy
Beutiful❤🧡💛💜💙❤👌
one thing your dugout is missing is a good cold well for food storage ... heck find an inexpensive cooler ... make a pit for it in the cabin someplace ... perhaps in the back room ... and deep enough to enclose the cooler fully ... leave space around the edges of the cooler so next spring you can load ice and snow around it and pack it over with sawdust so it makes it like an icebox for a good long time .. add ice over summer around the sides to keep it cool ... and poof you have a good moderate term food storage and a secure animal safe location for it as well ...
.
with that sandy soil any ice melt will drain away easily and that also will keep the cold storage cool ...
.
you could also look for a pelltier fan for your stove ... they use the heat from the stove and the cool from the air and fan to run ... and if you direct the fan towards the floor you will move the CO2 around and the heat will help move it out ...
thank you!
What's up Alex, how are you doing and feeling after getting Covid19? I hope and pray that you've gotten your taste buds back and all. I'm very happy to see that you're up and around doing what you've always loved to do. As always the content of the video was wonderful. 💯❤💪😇🙏🤝👋
Senin gibi temiz titiz çok az var bu işlerde.tebrik ediyorum.👍👍👍🤘
Enjoy your cozy cabin.
직접 지은 나무집에서 캠핑을 하는건 대단한 모험이다.. 영상잘봤어요.
You are amazing! How do you keep mice and squirrels or others from getting into your dugout?
I'll tell you a secret there is one mouse living in my dugout, it periodically appears when I forget to sweep crumbs from the floor. Now the mouse has disappeared somewhere....apparently it got warmer and she ran away to another house)
@@alex-wild oh if I ever saw a mouse I would light a match and burn it down lol.How often do you stay out there?
Gott beschütze Dich und Deine Familie, mit viel Herz aus Deutschland
That soil is so sandy! I’ve never lived somewhere with soil like that.
Very cozy!
This has become my favorite channel. I love this dug out, this is like my dream set up. I want land with a little spot like you have. Just so cool, allows you to get in touch with simpler things in life and just being able to enjoy nature like that, just so peaceful. How can you not just love this situation all around, and the possibilities are endless when it comes to things you can create out there. Keep up the awesome content! It is appreciated!
thank you!!!
Love everything on here except I don't know how you can sleep on a hard bed! lol
That looks so warm & cozy.
happy spring
