The DIY Galaxy Tab S2 repair tools used in this video can be found here: www.fixez.com/categories/repa...
    Step 1
Power down your Samsung Galaxy Tab S2 tablet.
Step 2 (Samsung Galaxy Tab S2 8.0 microSD Card Tray)
    Eject the microSD card tray.
Step 3 (Samsung Galaxy Tab S2 8.0 Display Assembly)
Begin to free the 8-inch Tab S2 display assembly by using the heat gun to warm up the adhesive.
With a suction cup and precision knife carefully create separation and insert a playing card to start slicing through the adhesive.
Take your time and apply additional heat as needed. Patiently work around the Tab S2 display assembly with playing cards to free it from the tablet.
The Galaxy Tab S2 screen is still connected to the motherboard. Do not try to remove it completely, or you will damage the data cable connecting the display to the tablet.
    Remove the display cable bracket.
Use the spudger to disconnect the display cable and remove the Samsung Galaxy Tab S2 8-inch display assembly.
Step 4 (Samsung Galaxy Tab S2 8.0 Midframe)
Remove the following 15 Phillips screws.
Use the iSesamo tool to pop the frame out of the Tab S2 rear case.
Step 5 (Samsung Galaxy Tab S2 8.0 Power and Volume Buttons)
Use the tweezers to carefully peel up the power button ribbon cable, and then remove the power button.
Peel up the volume buttons cable, and then remove the physical volume buttons.
Step 6 (Samsung Galaxy Tab S2 8.0 Battery)
Disconnect the Galaxy Tab S2 battery from the motherboard.
The 4000 milliampere-hour (mAh) Samsung battery is only held in place with mild adhesive and can easily be separated from the frame. No tools required!
    Step 7 (Samsung Galaxy Tab S2 8.0 Front-Facing Camera and Rear-Facing Camera)
Detach and pluck out the 2.1-megapixel Galaxy Tab S2 front-facing camera.
Peel up the tape, and release the ZIF connector. Remove the 8-megapixel Tab S2 rear-facing camera.
Step 8 (Samsung Galaxy Tab S2 Headphone Jack and Loudspeaker Assembly, Micro-USB Port, microSD Card Bay, Proximity Sensor, Microphone, and LCD Interconnect Cable)
    Remove the following Phillips screw.
Lift out the Tab S2 headphone jack and loudspeaker assembly.
    Remove the following Phillips screw.
    Extricate the micro-USB port.
Spudge up the Galaxy Tab S2 microSD card bay.
Release the ZIF connector and remove the small bracket. Remove the ambient light sensor.
Pry the Galaxy Tab S2 microphone up and out of the chassis.
Disconnect the LCD interconnect cable from the motherboard.
Step 9 (Samsung Galaxy Tab S2 8.0 Motherboard)
Attack the few cables still connected to the Galaxy Tab S2 motherboard.
With some help from the spudger, carefully free the motherboard from the midframe.
Step 10 (Samsung Galaxy Tab S2 Home Button and Cable for the Bottom Soft Keys)
Extract the Galaxy Tab S2 home button.
Use the tweezers to peel up the cable for the bottom soft keys.
    * To reassemble your device, follow the steps in reverse order.

Thank you so much. I dropped my tab on a hard surface for the first time recently. The back button and recent button quit working. Your video plus the battery replacement video instructed how to remove the back and plug the loose cable connector back in. Now that it's fixed, I'll be ordering a battery. Needs it.

Please what is the shiny square metal just below the battery. It heats up so much whenever battery is connected to the tab. Tab cannot come on. Unknowingly Plugged a probably defective charger to the charging port and the tab went dead with burning smell.

Mine is the tablet S2 black which has a back cover you have to take off. It's much easier to do and you don't risk screwing up your display.
