@@buffyraccoon9612 I believe she’s going to take another shot at her solo career. She’s a great singer but her and Aurora are just perfect together. She’s the perfect compliment to Aurora’s vocals. It’s not gonna be the same without her
This is one of the darkest songs I have ever heard yet it is sung so amazingly by both singers. It is both heart breaking and beautiful at the same time.
Circling back around to this and I have to point out how Aurora and Harry Mack both have the same thing going on with the hand movements LOL. It's a "becoming the music" thing though
Hey! I started following you through your Ren reactions, and I’m delighted to see the magical Aurora here as well! They both rip my heart out in the most beautiful ways. ❤
This is my favorite performance of this song. The harmonies, the acoustic guitar, the rawness and at the same time the sweetness of this… I don’t know, it’s just gorgeous 🤍
Great reaction. Yes she writes her own songs and not only that, but she tarted writing songs early. She wrote Runaway in 1 hour when she was 11 years old. She started the piano in secret when she was 6 years old and found an old keyboard in the attic. She started (at 6) to write melodies as a diary for herself and at 9 the words came and she started writing lyrics. Her family did not know she sang or played until she was 14 years old. Her manager says that at least 90% of ever Aurora song comes form her. She played the piano on several tracks on her first album and has learned to play the drums and percussion and play them on several tracks on Step I and Step II as well as programing and also producing several of the tracks. On the studio version of It Happened Quiet Aurora is credited with programing and for playing the drums and percussion. I suggest you react to Gentle Earthquakes live at KEXP. On the studio version Aurora again is credited with programing and for playing the drums and percussion. I also suggest Soft Universe live at Nidarosdomen (don't stress with the pronunciation, but if you do in English it is called Nidaros Cathedral, domen is just the word "the dome") on the studio version Aurora is credited with ambient sounds, synth pad and vocal engineer.
This is one of my top favorites of Auroras live with just her and the other vocalist, their harmonizing in this is impeccable..They always harmonize in songs but this was just them singing soooo Beautifully as Aurora always does..She's our little nature fairy..
Yeah, how can you not have the chills? And yes, she write her own songs. She is the full package. And talking about taking you back in time - watch her in Scarborough Fair and you are back hundreds of years. For her birthday?? Tomorrow!!
That gotcha thing was pretty funny. I love Aurora soo much and this performance is so beautiful on another level. "Dont you speak over my vOICE" was so powerful!
Yes she does write her own songs (some are co-written but she writes on every song of hers). She is heavily involved in the creative processes of all her songs. She is very hands on with the production aspect as well. She also comes up with the concepts for her own music videos as well. She is very involved
@@svorskemattias Silja announced at the end of may she was leaving the band to continue her solo career. She posted: One chapter is over and it's time for other things. Thanks for the adventure ❤️ An era is over, and it's time for other things. Thank you for the adventure ❤️ 🔥7🔥
You want to get medieval? Check out her cover of Scarborough fair. This performance of "It happened quiet" is one of her greatest ones ever. I can watch it over avd over, and still gets those loving goosebumps. Keep then comming - you can't do wrong, whatever song you choose.
I just starting to listen this reaction - thx for Aurora reaction. I love this song and especially this version. And yes she write her songs. I would recommend next Lucky live from Nidarosdomen.
Great reaction - and just in time for her birthday! This is one of my favorites. I also love Winter Bird live at Nidarosdomen and also check out the music video - it is amazing. Maybe do both in one reaction?
I love this. I play it on my piano for my dad, and he loves it too. I said, “Dad… I’m pretty sure this is about murder. It’s a murder song.” And he said, “I don’t care, it’s so soothing. I want it on my bedtime playlist.” 😂 I was like, “I mean, it’s ON my bedtime playlist, so I get it, but… it’s a murder song.” 🤣 Gorgeous song, amazing performance, and really fun chords. Dissonance for the win.
I agree. It's about a murder. She can't remember after the moment the feathers flew out of the pillow, probably after a fight. Her voice flying out of the window, landing outside like a flower, turning the medows red of blood. And breaking in pieces on the impact like a stone would. And coming back from the shadows, to turn his bed as red as the ground outside his window. It's eerily haunting, and so beautifully told, even if about a death.
Wow... This was pretty amazing.. I never heard this one before.. This is not my typical go to music. But since shes Norwegian and so am i she gets played and its kinda hard not to hear it.. And she has grown on me.. I actually have goosbumbs wile typing this.... Fun fact: she actually grew up about an hour from where I live. Idk if she still lives here. But she and her girlfriend (i assume. Cause they were holding hands) walked by me about to years ago in Bergen. I said hello. She smile back and said hello back... And she looled amazing btw. She had this green long summer dress on.. I like these reactions cause it makes me listen to stuff i might normally listen to.... And yes she writes her own songs.. And happy birthday Aurora!! Its her birthday today...
You should definitely review Aurora's Running with the wolves, the music video is really interesting! Also, have you ever heard of Patty Gurdy? I love both Aurora and her. My favourite from Patty Gurdy is Grieve no more.
Bro. You need to check out Wardruna and Aurora - Helvegen (Live) there are 2 that are amazing, one on stage and one in a cool looking cave. I believe this song was in the series Vikings which was spectacular in itself in my opinion. But her haunting voice mixed with the masculinity of his is such a cool balance and makes me feel so powerful. Also random question what are using for the the lights on your ceiling?
Something I’ve noticed about her live performances. There are little moments where she seems to drift into very uncomfortable memories. Like in this video around the 3:27 mark. I’ve seen it in other live songs too like “Murder Song” (2015 Nobel Peace Concert) and “through the eyes of a child” (VEVO UK Lift and also the Nidarosdomen performance of the same song.) Seems she sometimes writes from very painful experiences and sometimes those memories come back during her performances. On one hand, it’s terribly sad. On the other, it adds to the performance. For me it’s mostly sad though.
Great reaction again. Yes she writes all her songs and has been doing so since a very young age. I’d suggest as a next reaction another song she wrote almost fifteen years ago: Lucky live at Nidarosdomen.
Hi, English is not my mother tongue, but I feel that this song is about rape. One that happens quickly, perhaps from a known abuser, in the entourage. A rape that causes trauma and therefore alters memory, except for certain details. She says : love that is wild.... And : You fell apart... Maybe like a person who talks to herself, with dissociation. And in this perspective, the song sends shivers down your spine, even if the way it is interpreted is done gently, in nuances...
Please react to Eivør - Falling Free (live at the old theatre in Torshavn) it’s just so amazing. I’m sure you would like Eivør as she did also some Aurora covers
I hope you know it’s Aurora’s birthday this week. 15 June. She turns 25. Lots of reactors doing tribute reactions! You’ll get a deluge of followers to watch anything Aurora! She gets all medieval on your ass at the song "helvegen" she is technically only featured on that song (Wardruna ft Aurora - Helvegen) but she crushes it. Its all in Norwegian and old Norse, but there are subtitles, though i recommend just feeling it :)

This is one of the darkest songs I have ever heard yet it is sung so amazingly by both singers. It is both heart breaking and beautiful at the same time.
let's check the murder song 54321. i think that one is her darkest song.
Most real reaction. 3:25 she shudders at the memory of the lyrics. Then quickly comforts herself by lightly bouncing just after.
This sent me down the rabbit hole. She is a lyrical genius.
Circling back around to this and I have to point out how Aurora and Harry Mack both have the same thing going on with the hand movements LOL. It's a "becoming the music" thing though
This is the song that really opened my eyes to just how amazing she is.

Such a stunning performance in such a prosaic setting. So simple and yet so perfect.
Aroura and Silja are magical ✨❤️✨
Yes, she does sing in Norwegian with a Norwegian Folk/Rock band called Wardruna.

Chills? Sometimes you practically freeze to death by the end of her songs,
I Love her so much. Her feeling of the melodies and her songs is fantastic

The lyrics to this break my soul.. in the best possible way. Add the harmonies and it’s otherworldly. She’s a conduit. An elemental.
Timeless.
