- High quality Fancy Comets & Shubunkins are not typically found for sale in pet stores. They are usually marketed by importers or breeders. I have chosen to breed 2 Comets and cross 1 Shubunkin in hopes of producing a variety of colors and finnages. In this video I am showing the growth and color development of the fry from day one to approximately 3 1/2 months of age.

Wows I love your shubunkins x mine bred in a big pond once in my child hood and I loved all the colours
I’ve always called them orcas as the dad was a Bristol male shubunkin and the mum was a common goldfish named after my sister Deb who past away in 2018
The time these fish spawned was 1984
I’ve kept fish since and always called them orcas 🐳 beloved orca my best ever fish was eaten by a heron in 1988
I have bred nine spinned stickle backs and madeca rice fish ,
I’ve put fish of mine on you tube too xc 🐠

@@colourcrayon thanks x I do have tropical fish and some of my goldfish I bred in 1998 and I’ve got a koi I’ve had for really twenty years and I keep snakes and slow worms that I’ve had for a decade plus some of them x

I have 5 comets in a 110 gal stock tank
I haven't had them but a few mos & noticed
them breeding so can you tell something
about how to save the fry ?
The way I like to do it is remove the eggs and hatch them in a separate container. Then I feed live foods. I don’t have a tutorial video out sorry. I’m sure you could find one in UA-cam though. Good luck and thanks for watching my video!!😃👍

Awesome video, it was a fun watch!!! I do a lot of thing the same way as you. I feed brine shrimp, I power feed, I only clean the front glass.... it works for me. It would be nice if you can find time to do videos about your other fish. The guppies, endlers, bettas, Angels... whatever id swimming around the Hat trick farm. Sub number 51 here!!!

I was going to give some to Nathan from Sand Creek Aquatics unfortunately the timing didn’t work out. 😔 it’s great to meet someone who keeps fish in a similar way! I’ll try to watch some more of your videos. I love my single tail goldfish I think they get overlooked in the hobby. I’m trying to breed fancy ones. I’m sure I’ll see you around the chats.
I want to move to breeding more single tails... its quite frustrating breeding some of the fancy breeds because the kull rate is so high... but I have a few young lionheads and young fantails which I have bred myself and coming along quite nicely
