Two more food areas are being built this week, one on each side of the Faire. More vendors are slated to come in over the next few weeks, along with a few other performers. Since the festival is being held two months later than usual, schedules are being changed to adapt. Our Royalty will arrive April 24th, and a number of special events on themed weekends. Any time a festival makes changes (dates, location) there are growing pains. Thanks for a fun video!

Might not have buildings, half their vendors, or their actors, but they for sure have plenty of SCREAMING BUGS 😂 I was wanting to go this year until I heard about how they did all their performers dirty by announcing it was happening with just two weeks notice, and this video has really cemented my decision. Awesome, I love the Renaissance Festival. It used to be just up the road from where I live in the Terrace at MOSI but this looks like a great place to relocate located under the canopy of all those live oaks and a lot more room! I understand it will be around through May so I will definitely take a trip up to Pasco, perhaps with my daughter after she comes home from FSU as a reward after Amy finishes her exams next week. I read somewhere that one of the themed weekends is called "Shamrocks and Shenanigans" with the traditional Celtic bands and dancing and I am sure they will bring back their epic beer festival! Thanks again Jay, excellent video as always. Thanks for sharing this with us! Man, everyone looked like they were having a great time! Hedge fund, LOL!

Looks like you had so much fun, I can't wait to go! Renaissance Festival is one of my favorite things to do. When I owned a clothing store it was also one of our biggest seasons of the year, I loved dressing so many of the actors and patrons!! 🥰

I stumbled across this video while looking for info on this years RenFest! You just happened to be filming the day my husband & I were there! He's actually on stage with Johnny Phoenix! So cool!
The girl I have a crush on said to me, "If someone ever wanted to impress me, they'd take me to a renaissance festival." And, well, I guess you can guess why I'm here.
I was sad to hear/see that there was really no music??? The music acts are most of the reason we have gone for 30+ years. It was good to hear Johnny Phoenix though, it’s been too long and even without the music or the venue we will end up there at least one weekend for sure :-)
It’s like everything else, even BARF when it moved from Largo years ago. Things change, things adapt and hopefully this is just the beginning of the best years of BARF ever!
Ps. Maybe if they stay at this location they can change the name to Dade Area Renaissance Festival, DARF isn’t that big of a change :-)

It was best in Largo. I would not drive 45 minutes from Tampa to see this. And over-priced.

It seems like you just missed me in every shot! XD I was the plague doctor with the black and pink feathered hat! It was still fun though! May have to go again near the end since I didn’t get to see the queen on the first day!
I went to the Renaissance Festival a few years ago when it used to be in Tampa and it seemed like it was a lot bigger than their maybe it seems smaller here in town because you know everything's got a bigger place to spread out I think I will go check it out though
If you come in from the north on River Road, you'll have less dirt road to travel..... haha
I was actually interested in checking out the renaissance fair..until I saw the elephant.That was a deal breaker for me. I can't endorse a place that supports the forced labor of any animal. I know that you are just showing what is at the fair and it doesn't mean that you personally agree with the elephants situation and I'm glad you did because if I had gone and seen this first hand I would have been really disappointed that I paid to endorse the captivity of an elephant.
Personally I would not ride it. Sometimes I don’t really give my opinion because I want the audience to just see the truth no matter if it’s bad or good. I really appreciate your perspective in your opinion thank you so much for watching.

Masks are no longer required in Pasco county, and the festival told me they are optional. Hope that helps.

went yesterday and wasnt impressed. too many vendors missing. and it didnt feel right in this location. the tree canopy as mosi made a much more immersive experience
The only thing I will say is that I miss all the food vendors. Hopefully next year things will be much better and they will be able to return.

Been to one very similar in Sarasota 2 years ago, my kids loved it! My boy that was 5 years old shot a bow and arrow 🏹 and shot a balloon off a ladies head he got a round of applause from the audience! My kids got their first horse ride there also 🐎 lots to see and do!

Riding elephants is not cool. Don’t do it
You bring up an opportunity for me here to express something. I wouldn’t personally ride that elephant. Sometimes at these events, I show things I don’t necessarily agree with or may or may not have an opinion on. I always want to show what’s going on tho, so people see the truth.. whether it’s good or bad.

They were charging 10 for kids and 15 for adults. The ride was about a minute in length. The elephant looks so unhappy.

I have to ask. Do you work for the fair because what you are showing was not my experience.
The food was terrible. No turkey legs until 1 pm but they didnt bother to tell anyone until they got to the head of the line.
I counted maybe 50 vendors there.
In about 25 minutes you basically saw everything.
Only the food tent which wasnt marked sold water that I was aware of.
Not nearly enough seating. You sat on the ground when you ate or you stood.
Sweet tea was the only option at the coffee tent. They were not allowed to sell water.

Even the master of ceremony hated the location.
The 22.50 per person fee plus tax was a bit steep for some.
Im still glad they put it on because people do need to have something that reminds them of what once was.
This was my first time at this ren faire. I do hope it gets better.
