    Hi,
Is the cloud mandatory ? can it perform tasks without the cloud ??

Hi, this voice AI example is running fully locally on the Coral board. This example does not use the cloud or even the internet connection at all. But if you wish you can add other capabilities from the cloud, or build a local+cloud hybrid system

There's no doubt in my mind that you're an AI robotic genius..
I'm very indecisive here.. I'm thinking about building an autonomous rover with, obviously, the feature to recognize objects. I've thought about using the raspberry pi + an 8bit micro-controller
but then there's this Coral board that has some very interesting specs and i was wondering..
Would you recommend this Coral Board for projects such as drones/robotic vehicles ??
By the way i honestly hate the cloud idea.

RPi + MCU for motor, sensor control and the Coral USB Accelerator for local ML inference would be one way! Another would be to try the Coral DevBoard or DevBoard Mini. The mini is fanless, smaller and with a smaller power draw on a battery powered vehicle. Both ways work! But the Coral DevBoards would be equivalent to the RPi + USB accelerator combo in a smaller easier, single board form factor. But all those combinations work especially for prototyping. Please share with us later your adventures

It could be a nice product - if it had some support. I sent 2 questions to the provided "support" mail, they don't even care to answer. With no established community one is essentially alone with this dev board :(

Apologies for the delay, Androbi! Please check your mail. You should have replies from the Coral support team shortly

Why doesn't the dev board have a GUI?

It boots into a minimal X11 windowing system. You can access it via a connected HDMI display

Love to buy one, but you can't get one in Canada. Come Google allow Canadians to buy one of your boards. You can't even buy the original Coral dev board in Canada. Seeedstudio won't ship to Canada, what gives? Google if Canada is allowed to get these boards, then you need to talk to your partners. Because none of them ship to Canada.
