good restoration
When you do any type auto body work, or in this case a motorcycle tank work. you always use flat sanding blocks, regardless of the contour. Never ever use your hands with sanding ever. That way you don't have waviness and highs and lows to continue refilling. And use guide coat to see the pits and valleys as well. Your projects will look a heck of a lot more professional that way. JMHO
You're right, but I think they're happy with the level of finish. It is, after all, a commuter and it will no doubt get well used again.
My Friend. I wish you would invest in a sand blaster. It would have made your work so much easier.
