The NHL is the biggest hockey league in the world and is home to some of the smaller players. So we are looking at those players who look up to everyone. Most of the players on this list are skilled players who used their small size to their advantage. NHL GMs love tall players, but these short kings were able to work their way into the league. Here are the smallest NHL players:

The late Robbie Moore played 5 regular season games AND 5 playoff games for the Flyers. He posted the 2 shutouts but also had 2 assists. I was his team-mate at the University of Michigan. He would stand in the goal crease, bend his knees, jump straight up and do a 180 to sit on TOP of the net. He'd do that during games when the puck was in the opposite end or whistle stoppages. He could pass the puck as good as any of our defensemen. He was a gymnist dressed up as a goaltender. Drove coach Farrell crazy every game. LOL!

Bobby Lalonde who played 641 games in the in the 70's & 80's (Van, Atl Flames, Bos) was 5'5"
