Man, you werelucky to have the VHS. I had to learn from records and cassettes, ha ha. This guy is good, I don’t think I’ve seen this part. Saw that first part.🤘🏻😝🎸🇺🇸
Yes, other than not using his pinky much… or more so, using his ring finger too much-and strangely out of position. And some of his picking. But probably self taught, so unorthodox habits do come up. But sounds really good!🤘🏻😝🎸🇺🇸
@@heyjarrod You made me look at it again. He does not use his pinky ! Well, the other three fingers are precise and he sounds very clean anyways. For serious pinky action I binge on Kent Carlevi.
@@gokhanersan8561 Yeah, I was mostly just messing around. I hate to be negative. Because it really shouldn’t matter how someone looks playing, but it does to me. 😝 But I love helping others and teaching also. So I thought if the comment was from someone still learning guitar, they might want to look to some other guitar players. This guy is great, and he gets it done. So I try not to be too picky. I’m just old-school, ha ha. But when I see a guy spreading the first 3 fingers so far out of position, or clenching up the right hand like a fist, that doesn’t look right, or cool, to me. 😝🎸 But yeah, I’ll check out that guy you mentioned. I don’t think I’ve heard of him.😝🤘🏻🎸🇺🇸
@@heyjarrod The first lesson I learned from my guitarist buddy in the late 80s was “use your pinky.” Alex Van Halen told his brother the same : use your pinky Ed. Don’t use barre chords Ed. Don’t play in one position Ed, use the full length of the fretboard. Man, it sure takes much longer to sound cool if a learner follows those rules. But, it pays of doesn’t it. But, this dude makes it sound soooo clean. I gotta give him that. ✌️ 😊
I have been practicing the Cabo Wabo riff the last 15 years or so. Finally, I got my pinky to hammer the fretboard like Eddie does. What a freedom man. Muscle memory. And it looks great in the mirror:)
great tone, I use the varian at about 82 volts. Eddie wrote a retraction of the Guitar Play magazine interview where he said turn up the voltage... He excused it by saying he was using a British amp rated at 240 and that Dave told him to make stif up. But he was very sorry for the untruth and never meant for people to blow up their amps... & yes great technique also... Good Job...
Funny how in other articles, he chastised the press about misinforming young people about him and how he wished he could go to every kid’s house and tell them not to believe what they read because it was bullshit.
remember when we all ran from racks as being too complicated? and now look: you have people with pedalboards so large that they're an even bigger cluster F than racks ever were - then add those damn modelers to boot. you fools! 😋
The rewind on my VHS never got such a workout back in the day.
Man, the hours I spent watching this on VHS as a kid…

I hope Curt made bank because he deserves it! 🏦
I haven’t seen Curt in 34 years. I wonder what he’s doing now?

He has a current youtube channel ua-cam.com/users/shortsTBVJ53KDfw0

Looks my Charvel going to get a lot of use.
Is this slightly sped up or was he coked out and I never noticed on the old tape lol?
He was lit on the first too, surprised nobody noticed it...ticks are a dead give away
Yes he was on the first, surprised nobody caught it, ticks give it away if ya know you know
@@autkOh, we noticed. The massive weight gain on later videos was a dead giveaway that he had tried to clean up too. 😂🤷♂️
I want all his learn to burn lessons
Intro tune sounds so Warren DiMartini to me
Way cool Jr.
I sat through 40 minutes of tweedling, waiting for him to show those bad ass greasy riffs he was doing at the beginning. Majorly bummed.
Curt went away n came back looking like a taller young Bob Deal of Whitehorse aka Mick Mars alright alright alright alright
Oh so tasty
Used to have his stuff on VHS. 😅
