- Exceptional, amazing, phenomenal… those were the words used to describe America's queen of hurdles - Sydney McLaughlin. As opposed to her recent performance, the speedster has dominated the female hurdles category while earning comparisons to the greatest of the game.
After taking a long break off the track, the phenom made an official appearance following her season debut at the Mt. SAC relays. In this video, we'll explore Sydney McLaughlin's sudden return and why it is game over for her competitors in the upcoming Olympics.

the smartest) people in Track and Field today is Sydney McLaughlin Levrone. She's an intriguing mix of personality that keeps people (interested) in her.She'll (bring fireworks) to whatever she does as well as (intelligence), you can believe that. She is probably the most (exciting) Female Athlete in the (world) today.
In all of my years, and believe me, ther have been many. This young woman stands out.

June 30th is going to be very interesting. If McLauglin is capable of matching the time she ran in Eugene 2 years ago, it would mean Bol faces a challenge ahead.

@@tompaulcampbell Edwin Moses lost in his 30s after 3 straight Olympic wins. Sydney and Bol are the same age and Bol hasn’t come close to beating her. Sydney just ran a 22.07 200m. She going to go sub 50 in the 400h in the Olympics.
They are phenomenal athletes at the top of their form. Who knows who will win gold? That’s why the Olympics and World Championships are so exciting.

She IS the best ever in the 400m hurdles. It will be so exciting to see what she can do. Returning to that form that she had will be amazing. Remember, it's the best a woman has EVER DONE! That's what she's up against. She's also the best at hair.
At 2:40 you mention McLaughlin-Levrone's season opener in Music City Carnival, Nashville, Tennessee, but it was in 51.61 seconds, not 50.68. The latter occurred later that rear at the World Championships at Hayward Field, Eugene, Oregon.
You have your meets and footage mixed up.
just like last year she has pulled out of 400h at LA Grand Prix on May 18. Going to run the 200m v. Thomas and Steiner
Basically, given the wind assist, McLaughlin ran the same time on the 200 as Bol did in februari, 1 hour after winning a 400 in Metz. But McLaughlin also just ran a 100mh. So I would say that they are pretty evenly matched.
If they are evenly match at 200 it means Bol is a lot faster at 400

All of these comments are wishing and hoping. All is based on what she did in the past. Nothing else. A lot has changed since she ran records. Bol improved her hurdles from 15 steps to 14 steps between the hurdles. She won every race in wich she started, while Sydney didn't compete last years. Talent only will not be enough in Paris.
You are only as good as your last race. Somehow you think Sydney doesn’t train hard. Femke supporters can talk all they want. Femke respects Sydney. Femke fans will learn to respect Sydney.

But Bol only started on the hurdles in 2019 (McLaughlin started in 2014), so in those years Bol had 2 resp 3 years of experience versus McLaughlin 7 resp 8 years. But now we are in 2024. We will see what happens in Paris.

Both her parents were good athletes. She got elite genes of a sprinter before anything else.
Whilst I'm not against her values there are alot of people that are religious that don't win anything. Her dedication got her there.

Her 400m time at trials last year was better than the world champion.

Lets be real both are fantastic. But all it takes is to have one misstep esp. in hurdles or just be feeling 99% instead of 100% and you get silver or bronze instead of gold. Could she get gold in both yup but still I doubt it in the 400 flat.
