I'm an INTJ and wished to know that a few years earlier. I went to med school and became a doctor. The knowledge, that I have acquired, satisfied my thirst for knowledge on one hand. But the lack of autonomy, innervation and being not able to work on the "bigger" picture on the other hand, is dissatisfying. That's why I'm working on becoming a medical entrepreneur and found my own medical Start-Up company to disrupt the healthcare system by using technology and empower patients. Wish me luck to accomplish that transition!
As a clear cut INTJ-A, this was eerily accurate. I just graduated high school and am currently attending a college and majoring in computer science, but the crazy part to me is that throughout high school I toyed with the ideas of working in architecture, mechanical engineering and writing. To be honest, every one of these jobs seem super intriguing, it was just that most never even crossed my mind. Thanks for the awesome video and keep up the great content!
They also can be musicians. I play several instruments, love mastering new musical skills… from early childhood on I have always worked very dilligently on things that got me interested and been exploring subjects on my own…
Somehow I ended doing jobs as an Intelligence analyst (military), forensic analyst for a few corporations (detective, not police) & computer programmer, scientific researcher (hired by MIT, but I didn't go to MIT), a wannbe writer & an entrepreneur & didn't know I was an INTJ until recently at age 48. I used to get bored once I mastered a job (usually at the 2 year mark), so I moved from job to job, normally with a 50%+ pay increase each move. I now own a boxing gym, & teach boxing, the sweet science. I learn something new almost everyday while teaching that sport.
Coding is my job for around 15 years and I mostly enjoyed it 👍. But recently I moved to a bigger team and I hate this. We have to comply to a lot of regulations and processes and it is a nightmare I guess the video is pretty accurate « like to work alone or in a small team » 😅
I’m a high school junior and intj, this video was insightful. Picking a major for university has been a struggle (there’s too many things I’m passionate about) but currently thinking ethical hacking, physics, economics, or math would be satisfactory.
My INTJ mind has been happy with bookkeeping for over 26 years of my career. I get involved in reports and looking at the data from various angles. I find it fun.

I recently found out I'm an INTJ. I work as a high school English teacher, devoted 7 years so far. It's becoming super not fun, so I started doing these tests to better understand myself and find the jobs that would be satisfying. I don't believe I'm good at maths or computer science, but I want to work from home and alone, so I'm thinking about giving it try. You get so scattered as a teacher that you're starting to forget what you're capable of. It's very draining all the time (for introverted ppl).
A VERY strong word of warning. The position you've got right now in impacting people's lives in person every day. Not sure what grade you're working, but you ARE changing lives. I have a computer science degree, have worked ten years in the field and most of the times you turn into a cog in the corporate machine. Lots of red tape, regulation, and sometimes its incredibly hard to see how you make any good impact by what you program. A lot of time its implementing something that the company wants to make them more money. and you are on call 24X7, or have a rotating schedule. The career can be boring, exciting, stressful, heart attack inducing, panic attack corner, and depending on your position, your quality of life mentally may suffer. In terms of time sacrifices and throwing yourself into the profession, I'd actually compare it to being a lawyer. Let me also tell you, money isn't everything. Its not worth it if you're sacrificed mentally. I'm 36 years old and still remember my English teachers fondly. Sometimes I wonder what it would be like to have your job.
I’m an INTJ English teacher. Luckily my administration has learned over the past 24 years to allow me to run my classroom how I want and I always get great results with my students and their test scores.
I'm a landlord with three properties. I also work as a night auditor and hotel maintenance manager. They have a notebook for work requests, so some days I don't have to talk to anyone.
I actually just graduated with a civil engineering degree and started working at a civil engineering firm this summer. I sure was not expecting for this type of engineering to be called out specifically in this video😂. Looks like everything's falling into plan lol
Thank you so much, I wish I knew myself earlier I wouldn't have spent a lot of time at random careers I'm in my late 20s, and I will pick computer programming to decline

I completely disagree about programme manager. I’m INTJ and I have completely creative mind, but technic requires working with details. I can’t stand and learn exact sciences, I’m involved in languages, art, psychology and analytical work. But not exact sciences like computer science, maths, chemistry and etc. My brain just refuses to understand them. I’d like to add in this list creative professions. For example I want to be a clothes designer. But thank you for the video!
While I don't especially enjoy programming, it is very satisfying to me to make a program to run a custom made machine that I designed and built! That is where the satisfaction will come in at rather than the actual writing. I struggled with math in school and I think that is a distinction between INTP's and INTJ's. My INTP friend is a master in every form of math I've even heard of and that is the biggest difference between his and my natural talents.

INTJ-A: I am number 2 - Computer Programmer. Your clip is on point on this. I enjoy turning an idea into a working software implementation, one that is highly reliable and efficient.
I'm an INTJ and work in Anti Money Laundering and Terrorism Financing Investigations, it's never boring and I get to use my brain. If I'm bored, I'm a terrible employee.
Even though I am INTJ, my childhood dream and my life goal is to become a succesful independent music producer. I definitely recognize my INTJ needs and wants in what I want for my future but my passion lies more in art (preferably music) than other professions.
If you share the love that I have for good music, I'm sure you will do very well if you devote your time and talent to it! I got started into music when my mom gave me a really nice guitar when I was 14yo. I simply haven't had the time to master music as I'd like since my dad died when I was 17. I have needed to stay focused on paying work since to support my mother and younger siblings and so had to drop many hobbies to do so.
Well, I'm a Mechanical Engineer who ended up in Tech Sales (INTJ-T). Quite interesting job due to the customer investigation process and offering a technological solution to their problems, but too easily drained from social interactions if you have to go through multiple outbound prospecting.
this video makes me think im not an intj; currently a job i want is a job where I just get told what to do, where i dont need to talk to people, and I'll find fun in doing work as fast and efficient as possible. i'm almost 15, INTJ-T.
I am an INTJ project manager- I love variety and new challenges in my job. I have worked in and for many different companies in all kinds of fields. I also love to deep dive into processes and optimize them. My collegues call me "queen of organization" :D .
Funny, I don't know if I was an INTJ before or study computer programming made me an INTJ. Well, the more I think of it, the more I'm convinced I was an INTJ most of my life
I've always been interested in 9 out of 13 of these jobs and the other day I said f*ck it an took the Myers Briggs test and got intj-a , and everything it said was scarily accurate sh!ts Fing my head up
INTJ here. I'm an entrepreneur. One of my businesses involve architecture. One of my businesses involve private investigators and lawyer work. The third business involves animals. I'm not much of a people person, but I love animals! I also have a side hustle as a writer. Basically, I figured out to make money in fields that interest me. I am convinced that whoever is behind these videos is stalking me!😉 just kidding, but they are insanely accurate! I honestly thought nobody was even capable of understanding me until watching 50 or so of these (so far) ! This video is dead accurate and im pretty sure i would do well at any that i havent done although being an attorney sounds miserable for the most part. I am proficient in Every trade needed to build a house except framing and concrete, i have done mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, operated all kinds of heavy equipment, drove a big rig for more than 500k miles, worked as a mechanic and service technician for vehicles and heavy equipment, accounting, (usually fixing problems or analyzing discrepancies and looking for foul play) been a project manager, etc. Etc. Im pretty sure i would excel at all of the things mentioned in this video, but there's only so many things 1 person can master in a lifetime, so i guess i can't have it all!😢 oh, yeah! There's also the cost of learning that limits things!😅
I exceled at accounting and more especially auditing accounts when their were discrepancies or suspected foul play😅 it was very satisfying to me and I never failed to get to the bottom of whatever it was. Often, it takes a natural detective to catch someone who is very good at stealing from their company and covering their tracks... An INTJ being a natural detective makes a good match for that.
As an INTJ with high neurotiscm... I feel computer engineering is not a good option became I get stuck in code and panic a lot😭.. Also I don't know how to seek for help.. That is why I don't understand how computer engineering is second in list?
Intj here who thinks all these jobs sound horrible. I've never found a job I like and am miserable. I don't fit in anywhere. Have done several different things and have been bored and burned out after about 5 years at all of them.
@@PsychologyRefresh I love it it's very rewarding. I needed to stop producing music if I wanted to settle down and have a family life with a solid career. I still need to use my creativity and logic skills to create something though so software engineering is perfect for that
I am work well with Business Analysis. Believe me that spreadsheet with complicate formula and strange format to make your job automate with fewer step is more fun than programer.😂😂😂 When you grow up just learn how to make a dashboard then you knew more details than the person who provide the data to you. Don't you feel good to be that superior? 😂😂😂 Sometime take invitation to be an auditor. INTJ well known as a cold heart person and pleasures to get rid of inefficiency person like a cheater without a second thought.
If you are a INTJ, I think you might be surprised how well you would do as project manager! I used to think I would not be a good project manager until I had to be one! I naturally plan ahead and put a lot of effort to make sure everything is in place for the guys to be able to be efficient and productive as possible! It does take some getting used to as far as dealing with a lot of people, but videos like the ones from this channel will help you a lot in learning how to deal with people.🙂
Well, both my extroversion and feeling functions as an ENFJ is weak lol something like 51% My theory is that I was initially a INTJ, but because I left home at 17 I had to develop my extroversion and I went through a rough patch at 22 where setting goals appeared pointless as I was homeless, so I developed into a ladies man (because of the unique situation I found myself in, plenty of well educated women around me) which switched my T into a F. In truth when I step outside my house I am completely a ENFJ, but once I cross that threshold into my house I am INTJ and very sensitive to my environment, which I'm not when I'm outside my house. It's quite a stark difference really! I recently came across the MBTI and it has helped me make sense of a lot of my behaviour and given me strategies to overcome my weaknesses and develop! Great analysis btw!
I think it is ok, you'll enjoy the interviews and analyzing people's character for best fit for a job (efficiency) but other than that not really. HR do have a lot of downtime tho especially in small organizations so that might appeal to you. But people will expect you to solve fights and complaints and arguments.... that part would be hard.
I was a HR intern and hated it, so repetitive. That experience gave me clarity on whether or not it was a fit for me. Nope. Everyone's different. So try it out and see.
This video was not helpful for me because this careers not always fit to people with this type of personality. INTJ often becomes the techie and likes school subjects that related to math and physics. Favorite subject in school for INTJ is very rarely something humanitarian subject like society studies or history. This is the reason why careers like lawyer or entrepreneur is not for INTJ. And I want to say about necessary to talk with people very often for judge or corporation strategist - this is very hard for INTJ. So, the best careers from INTJ is programmer, writer, architect, engineer, mathematician, scientist, accountant.
Yeah but I am intj and have a degree in humanities including history. I also don't mind working with people... im very extroverted in meetings and love love working in a project with a group of people and seeing it come to fruition and be real and efficient and make people's lives better. But it takes a lot of social energy out of me so I tend to recharge alone.
@@grazynawolska8160 I told that INTJ often becomed techies but your history is less often for this type of personality and real. Extraverts like a communication with people but it not take a lot of energy. You're introverted. As my opinion, your history is the example about intj persons become successful in the field that is very interesting for them
well people can change, I've been working as a computer programmer for 10+ years, but now I feel I can't improve myself in this job anymore. You are always sitting at the same desk, you are not seeing the world and you are not talking to people, so you have no chance to improve your social skills and will stay at the desk forever.

I resonate with a number of these jobs
Glad to hear!
befor knowing that I'm INTJ I was trying to become an architect but it didn't work so know I'am stadying computer science this is so weird
I think I'm stuck with entrepreneur because I can't get hired doing anything else.
It is very true for many INTJs...
Absolutely done with all...
I was a data analyst turned stock (day or swing) trader. Sick of everyone telling me “everyone loses money” which is fake propaganda btw
I'm an INTJ and I am studying Programming now

@@johnmichaelcunanan8962 Excellent!
pls make a video on ENTJS
Coming tomorrow! Hit the notification bell to not miss it!
I’m auditor/accountant sort of true in terms of the video.
I did end up being an architect.
Sir can you please make video on INTJ with high Neuroticism I got 97% in neuroticism in test conducted by practical psychology 😭
Lo siento😢 siempre te recordaremos.
Civil engineers yes, actual creative architects, I no I am not, I even left Architecture because of that.
Whaaat? You didn't list Batman as an intj career path?
I am an intj artist hello
What about accounting?
Thanks for sharing!
What about Criminal Psychology?
What about that?
I combine detective work and writing, call it etnography.
So weird... For so many years my dj name was dj architekt... and now I'm a software engineer

@@PsychologyRefresh I love it it's very rewarding. I needed to stop producing music if I wanted to settle down and have a family life with a solid career. I still need to use my creativity and logic skills to create something though so software engineering is perfect for that
@@INTJames Thank you for bringing up your perspective!
I'm INTJ and... software engineer. 🤓
I’am an Intj but i want to be a interior designer
Thanks for sharing!
Am INTJ and am really an architect in real @@ can’t make this up 😂
How I wish I have talent to write 😢 I want to be a writer but don’t have idea or I’m not creative …
Okay!
yes, architecture.🗿
Trader and professional poker player.
Interesting career.
Project management is exposed to working primarily with people (endless follow-ups and negotiation) so that's not a good advice.
Thanks for sharing!
If you are a INTJ, I think you might be surprised how well you would do as project manager! I used to think I would not be a good project manager until I had to be one! I naturally plan ahead and put a lot of effort to make sure everything is in place for the guys to be able to be efficient and productive as possible! It does take some getting used to as far as dealing with a lot of people, but videos like the ones from this channel will help you a lot in learning how to deal with people.🙂
@@SumJrk unfortunately, i'm a project mngr too... I hate meetings.
Huh. Sales of any kind didn't come up.
Iam a mechanical engineer and intj 1w2
You know me better than myself
Maybe!
Trader.
I think I'm a failed INTJ so became ENFJ
What do you mean by failing?
Well, both my extroversion and feeling functions as an ENFJ is weak lol something like 51%
My theory is that I was initially a INTJ, but because I left home at 17 I had to develop my extroversion and I went through a rough patch at 22 where setting goals appeared pointless as I was homeless, so I developed into a ladies man (because of the unique situation I found myself in, plenty of well educated women around me) which switched my T into a F.
@@lawrencebolt3540 Thank you for bringing up your perspective!
I wanna become an entrepreneur or a ceo.
Is human resource a good career for INTJ?
Well, it is not the best choice, because INTJs are not very people oriented.
@@PsychologyRefresh thanks. Btw, do u have a video about INTJ-A and INTJ-T?
I think it is ok, you'll enjoy the interviews and analyzing people's character for best fit for a job (efficiency) but other than that not really. HR do have a lot of downtime tho especially in small organizations so that might appeal to you. But people will expect you to solve fights and complaints and arguments.... that part would be hard.
@@PsychologyRefresh how about data science/ data analysis related roles?
I was a HR intern and hated it, so repetitive. That experience gave me clarity on whether or not it was a fit for me. Nope. Everyone's different. So try it out and see.
I’m an INTJ and I study to became a nutrictionist. 🙃
Would INTJ's be good mechanics?
number 14: being a villain !
oh shut up! you know you are good at it!
Thanks!
@@grazynawolska8160 Thanks for sharing!
