- The Pittsburgh Pirates defeated the Milwaukee Brewers at PNC Park on September 25, 2024. Liover Peguero recorded both RBI for the Buccos. Aroldis Chapman recorded his 95th strikeout of the season, which now holds the record for most strikeouts in a single season by a Pirates left-handed reliever. Luis Ortiz picked up the win and Chapman got the save.

There are some good things in this game. The pitching was excellent. Ortiz gave up the home run but didn't let it fall apart afterward. Relief pitching was excellent. Chapman can be the closer next year - if he sticks around. Peguero showed a lot of enthusiasm, and Kiner-Falefa is solid at the plate.

It's a total shame that the loser owner and the rest of the organization doesn't want a world series team. To start if we could get rid of the owner and then go down the tree. We have the players to make the world series we just don't have the management to do so.
