@@elnavales was confused why he only pitched 4 innings when he was being so dominant, but i absolutely was not about to look a gift horse in the mouth 😂
@@elnavales i did a deep dive because i was that confused, and from what i gathered is it's a combination of what you said, along with the fact that he's injury riddled and the sox are trying to get him back in the saddle slowly/keep him healthy for next season, and they're starting to transition him from reliever to starter
Whoever has him should really consider making him a closer. I can't think of any memorable closers in recent history that teams feared when they came on.
As a Suarez fan, I can only thank his teammates (especially Morejon and Tatis) for covering up for his failed saves. However, we should consider relocating Suarez...

Robert Suarez might be a problem assuming the Padres reach the post-season. It looks likely that teams have figured him out. Otherwise, just the usual thing! A late comeback! I wasn't surprised that the Padres had trouble with Garrett Crochet. On a very bad team, he's an outstanding pitcher.
@@bretfisher7286 it doesn't help that the umps we've been stuck with lately have been absolutely horrible. but definitely something is up. i think the problem is is that suarez relies too heavily on his velocity to throw batters off and it's not working anymore. throwing in a lower speed pitch like a sweeper or changeup (the latter of which i'm not sure if he has) in between all those fastballs would've changed his whole outing tonight. hopefully he can figure it out because when he's on his game, he's a force to be reckoned with
@@thephhoenixx I agree. The fastball can be lethal, but his, while at high velocity, is fairly flat. A straight pitch. Most pro players can hit a 100 mph fastball if it doesn't move much. He needs a secondary pitch to make them jumpy.
He literally has had to make two in season adjustments to starting position. Not very easy! Not defending his subpar plays and all that but just offering perspective. He'll get it together when its time.
Nice Fernando walkoff for the win. Anybody but Suarez for Padres closer. That 9th inning intro for him started giving him a big head and it's killing him.
I want Xander playing second base again😤 Robert needs a lot of work!! And I was there today🙂 I knew Tatís was going to walk it off🤎💛 And Musgrove was amazing today😊
I was at this game the first 5 innings were amazing for the pitching but after the 6th inning the game got really loud and we scored some runs then the ninth inning we were about to leave but then they scored a home run so we left we were all tired and we left
@@Adam11230 he's relied too much on scaring batters with his high velocity fastball and they're starting to get used to it now, especially with pitchers all around the league also throwing 100+ mph
i dont really understand why in the bottom of the ninth tied game with 1 out and runners on the corners is cronenworth leading so far off of first? seems like a big oversight by the first base coach to not tell him to get back and remain touching first. what advantage is there for him to be a few feet closer to second when the runner on third wins the game? could have avoided the double play and gave them one more out in the bottom of the ninth.
I was seriously impressed with Crochet. If he stays healthy he’ll get a big payday in the future. I also imagine he could get traded either this offseason or next summer at the trade deadline. The “asking price” might be smaller but that doesn’t matter. He could be very dominant as an ace for a team. That, or maybe the White Sox will be smart and give him a big payday and build a squad around him.
Geez man ..Suarez room serviced that fastball ..right down the heart of the plate ..a high school player would have sent that home ..not good ..playoff hitters will end our season if he can’t locate ..what he really needs is a slider ..
Said this before and I’ll say it again. Suarez is too predictable he’s going to be a serious problem for the padres in the playoffs. Put him as the set up and Scott as the closer
The Bermuda Triangle strikes again. Oh crap. Too soon~ whatever/Nevermind~ Nando comes through, and this guy is exhausted (zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz) let’s go padres
Crochet pitching the Padres angry. And who could blame him? I would. Why not? I’d be pissed if I thought I was escaping the White Sox, and on my way to Petco, only to be denied. Good for him. There’s good pride and bad unearned pride.Crochet is in possession of the former.

magic number 3, baby! hopefully the pitching staff can help suarez kick it back in gear, then we'll really be ready for the postseason
Yeah I’m concerned about Saurez. He was fire all year long, ever since the grand slam against the Tigers he’s been shaken it seems.
Man I love Suarez but he needs to learn some more pitches . Everyone is on his fastball now it seems like .
Padres have been magic for like 2 months. They look like world beaters.
we just ned suarez to remember who he was for the first 4 months of ball

Too bad they didn't show Wade throwing out the White Sox runner in the 10th at home. Great defensive play!
Padres almost got Crochet at the trade deadline but i think the deal fell through. Imagine Crochet as one of our starting pitchers.
crochet demanded an extension (and probably a lucrative one) in order to be dealt
Skip the rental players like Soto, Hader
He would’ve cost too much. Plus look at our rotation. We don’t need Crochet
Would've been nice to get a great lefty starter
