    Wheelies are all about practicing and getting over the fear of falling. Helps to get to know the bike really well and commuting to it all the way. Gets easier and easier. The butterfly feeling is a fear thing that wears off after you get comfortable with the bike.

    I've wheelied only a few times with power wheelieing in first and second gear. Tried clutch ups but can't do those. Tried doing them so I don't have to have a lot of room for wheelies. But I only managed to get the front a few inches off the ground.
    Tried revving at different RPMs, even up to 7 last night, but it just launches me forward faster.
    Good at handling turns, deep lean angles, and moto gymkhana stuff. Wheelies, not good at all.
    Always amazed at the videos that I've seen where people just crack the throttle a little bit and front just pops up.
    Anytime somebody on the sidewalks ask me to wheelie, I can only pretend like they're saying hi and wave back.

    Thank you guys for making this vid and all the others too 🙏. I credit you guys with helping me learn to wheelie and I always come back to this video for a refresher. It’s taken a lot of time but I can get to balance point and beyond and have only looped once going like 2mph dragging a foot. I just got done riding and was dropping back really really deep and coasting super far too. It’s the coolest feeling ever 😎🔥💪. I’ll be Scraping in the near future I’m sure 👍

    Hey there, I was riding my muscle cruiser in Sonoma County when I saw a pack of Honda Groms ahead of me. I caught up to them and rode with them, but I could tell they weren't happy with my tag along. Anyway, those Groms are 125cc's and I could BARELY keep up with them. They were going a good 70mph on back roads and then doing wheelies at 50mph. It was THE coolest thing I've seen locally.

    Well that changes everything. I thought once you hit balance point. You hold and lock in until you put the wheel back down. You're really basically bouncing off it the whole time. Like dribbling a basketball if balance point was the ground..... Great job explaining. We'll see how long it takes for me get it right..... lol. My clutch frictions are on their way out again too....smh. I burnt them out adjusting to the trigger clutch lever.🤦 It's still ok for now tho

    • @kambo6581
      @kambo6581 2 роки тому +2

      @@22YZ450FX honestly the loop wasn't even from an intention wheelie. I was doing a burnout and I let off the break a little too much trying to doughnut. The bike kicked right up and scraped the end of the wheelie bar. My hand was off the clutch, so it kept pulling forward. And I couldn't get my hand over it again because the bike was all the way up. I would have had to let go of the grip to get my hand out from under the lever and press it back down. It was a total shit show. I had to pull it to the side and drop it to avoid it ghost riding into a bush in front of a store. It hit the ground and the right side of the handle bars got bent a little. Now I have protaper bars with the support rod in the middle and a trigger clutch. So it won't ever happen like that again.

    • @22YZ450FX

      Keep your body centered. Keep your eyes ahead. Use your hips and shoulders to counter. The slower you go the more wobbly it’ll get. If you ride the brake and use gas at same time you will also wobble alot!

There is something I am sub consciously doing on that bike that just isn't translating to the bigger bikes and a video covering the basics of bobing and weaving would help with isolating things to focus on. Sometimes I feel like I can have my whole body off to one side and the bigger bikes just want to go the opposite way.
