#ASMR is an acronym commonly used to describe the 'tingly' sensation associated with certain audio/visual stimulae - often whispering/soft-spoken voice, and other quiet triggers. It's a similar feeling to 'frisson' - the shivers that run up your spine when watching an incredible scene in a film, or really /feeling/ amazing music. It's the best.

@@lnept One, it’s 109K, and too, he only hit 100K recently. I subscribed to him maybe 5 months ago, and he must have had only 70-80k at the time. Besides from that, his posts don’t get that many views compared to others. Popularity on UA-cam is far different from other social media like Instagram, Twitter, ect.

Outside of the ASMR itself, I love the storytelling, all the details, and jokes that are put into these. The name Easter eggs taken from game characters, other asmrtists, and other (potential) pop culture references was a nice touch.
I know that there will be some moron who dislikes this video, but at the moment there are zero dislikes, and it makes me happy. This is what good content looks like.

I don't suppose you'd be willing to do some behind-the-scenes how-to type videos at some point, would you? I'm fascinated by the technology aspect. I graduated college back in 2006 and I suppose because it was a broad-based communication degree, we never even got into anything as fancy as chroma, let alone the other stuff!

I agree, that would be a good idea. That could even help raise the production level in ASMR community.
I mean it's all greenscreen, good lighting, very good mics, and a camera. That's really all there is production wise.
The lighting really is the most impressive part of what Atlas does though. It's perfectly tailored, properly trained talent. Plenty of other people do elaborate sets or greenscreen work. But this Kiwi has a trained eye for lighting that adds so much tone and character to his videos.
@@ZacksScraps Yeah, I mean I know the basics of what's behind it, and it isn't like I want a proper college class-style course from him or anything. I'm just interested in seeing the actual "how I put this together" BtS stuff.
You're right about that lighting. It's easy enough, I'm sure, to just unroll a green screen and stick yourself in front of it, but his lighting is flawless.

My favorite part is at 14:06, when the player selects an option before the dialogue is finished, and it instantly ends the prior dialogue in favor of the newly selected option. It's a subtle yet amazing detail.

@pde544 Genderfluidity relates to a person feeling to be a mix of masculine and feminine, rather than leaning to one or the other. Note that the word gender has a very broad meaning in the casual context these days, as there are technically speaking only two genders, man and woman, to match our two sexes, male and female. However, what genderfluidity, non-binary, etc refer to is gender expression and gender identity (or more gender experience), how one expresses and feels about themselves. Unfortunately, and I say this as a transwoman, people have misinterpreted 'gender identity' to mean they are something other than man or woman, rather than simply it being a way to describe an aspect of their personality. In summary, think of genderfluid in the same way you might the term tomboy. It's just a description of an atypical (also called gender non-conforming) personality and expression.
Being more cynical, it is also used by self centered people looking for attention, as every human being has a combination of masculine and feminine traits and tendencies. The people who like to make a big deal out of being genderfluid or non-binary also tend to be the ones who think they are overly unique and need a special word to describe them.

@pde544 As a genderfluid person, I can try my best to explain what genderfluid is. Genderfluid is an identity wherein someone experiences two or more genders in fluctuating capacities. This is rather broad, seeing as a genderfluid person may fluctuate between two genders on a yearly basis or may fluctuate between an uncountable number of genders on a daily basis. Seeing as gender is completely socially constructed and is on a vast spectrum (from complete masculinity to complete femininity with androgyny in the middle and a complete lack or disconnect from gender being a possibility), genderfluidity is a little hard to pin down to a singular definition or description. For me, I fluctuate along this spectrum on a daily basis and have to think every morning what my gender is and how I feel about my gender in order to figure out how I want to present myself along this spectrum and how I will feel most comfortable embodying my gender. For me, my genderfluidity also determines what pronouns I feel most comfortable being referred to, although I am always okay with they/them. Essentially, genderfluid people experience a fluctuation in how their gender feels and thus is.
I genuinely love educating people on my identity and making people more aware of the less well-known identities within the LGBTQ+ community, so, even though I'm not the person you asked this to, I appreciate you asking and wanting to know more about the genderfluid identity. Considering this is a loaded response and it is a bit difficult to fully define such a complex yet broad gender identity, I can do my best to answer any extra questions you may have :)
