I have an important question, when I use my active track mode & highlight myself & then it keeps saying aircraft too low... that could mean anything, too low to the ground? low battery? wifi? whats going on? I even raise the drone higher up over 10 feet above me & it still says aircraft too low

Did you try to change the wifi settings of DJI GO App to 2.4 Ghz and see if the wifi signal is stable enough to go farther?

If you set return home altitude and you take off on high ground. Will it be the altitude from point of take off or will it be from sea level altitude ? someone please answer this

CopterTube, Thanks for the video. You always do a great job. I was waiting for the Spark but I don't think it's for me. I like the Mavic except for the camera, I wish it had a better camera like the Pro but it's not bad. I would buy the Phantom 4 Pro but it's too big. I was hoping to see a Phantom 5 with fold up landing gears but I guess not until Sept maybe. It looks like you shoot the ships off Ft. Lauderdale. I guess I will buy the Mavic and buy the Phantom 5 when it comes out, thanks again

How did you record the screen of the phone?
I believe the DJI Spark has the feauture to automatically 'return home' when its too far or disconnected from the controller. So you really don't have to worry about losing connection.
I didn't get the chance to be a beta tester but I would really love to have one when its released on the mid of July!

nah there have been plenty of spark fly aways and lost sparks because of lost connection. i am awaiting my spark but dji isnt shipping controllers until the end of the month smh
yeah I saw a video of a fly away.... but that was like the pilot said (it was my fault) He didn't mark the home position when he hand launch it.... I always first turn the drone on... let it mark its home position and then fly.
What if you start walking? Will it still do it with you in the picture?

I use to have a Parrot and used a WIFI range extender AMPED SR1000 to pair with the drone. Think is possible with this Spark? Maybe extend range and reliability without the control. Nice posts! Use to live near Cape Canaveral would be a cool place to chase ships.
The follow mode is a very important feature to many people. Maybe I missed it on this video, or maybe this drone does not have a have a follow mode? In any event, thanks for a good video presentation of the Spark.

If you can choose a different frequency use it, because the range of 5.8hz is very limited.
It's nice but you gotta have that controller really and that's another $150 and to get the equal battery life to the Mavic, you need a spare
battery so add $250 to the price with tax - if you want a close range selfie camera with lower res video then the Spark is great
Simon Harris I think that you can use a wifi extender USB. So you can improve the iPhone signal
I hadn’t heard that 1080p was now considered “low res”. I’ll now have to call my cable co. to complain
Yeah I’m still watching TV / movies on a 120” screen from a 720p projection. So the 1080p resolution from the Spark camera looks great to me. And the 4K stuff just seems like overkill still. To me at least.
Oh and the batteries are only $50 each for Spark so that’s pretty cool too.

some you tubers with a sufficient amount of subscribers actually either get the product for free or they get a pre released mode (to be returned)l. Based upon CopterTube's subscription base, he most likely have a pre-released model that has to be returned. People like Casey Neistat actually keeps his since he has 7.1 M subscribers. It is an inexpensive method of advertising to your subscribers and less expensive that other mediums such as TV and newspapers.

CopterTube Is the range longer with the controller or is it the same as using with the phone?
Hi CopterTube, I just got Spark 2 days ago. I have attempted to use the quickshot mode Helix a few times with my phone (Without RC). However, it always scared me whenever flying a bit far and high. So my question is:
1. Have you ever tried the whole cycle of Helix mode? Which means let it finish the mode and return to original position? Is there any problem?
2. If there is problem from above question, does it mean I have to stop the Spark whenever it goes out of my phone range?

JUDALUCI hello. If the drone goes out of range then it should come back home. These modes in my opinion are better done with the remote that gives the drones more range. Also always remember to have plenty of open space when doing these modes. Thanks for watching.

it's supposed to do 31mph in sports mode, but guess it requires the remote to get access to the switch.

No you have to be very careful of that, thin things like poles are not seen by the sensors

I don't think so.. Unless they release a update and the software can allow it, if it's new hardware in the spark then it won't happen.

Thanks, I found a more in depth review after asking that question and figured it out. It also cost more money to get a controller, king of crazy.
That's the only shitty part..it doesn't come with a controller! they get to market and advertise the cheapest drone for 499, yet if you really want to fly it it's 700+ taxes..

useful - but not very since you have to abort each of the modes so as remain in wifi range.

They are different class drones. Spark ⚡️ mostly sold to the consumer as a dronie drone in my opinion. With that said mavic is great.... I have some videos putting it to the test. Both drones are great for what they are designed for. I will be trying to do a cruise chase with the Spark ⚡️ also. Stay tuned 😄

Video Vlogs101 You would be dumb to get the Spark over the Mavic. Spark with controller, and one extra battery will run you $750. Mavic is better in almost every aspect.
sfox84 How would it be dumb just based on buying something that cost a little less? I already ordered the mavic and it should arrive today. only thing I am worried about is that a new mavic doesn't come out this year with a better camera. I was considering the phantom 4 pro but after comparing the fly more combo with extra batteries and the cost of the p4p with batteries and props, I decided I'd start with the mavic first and see how it goes.

Hello Sergio, I did everything as possible as I can. Even I updated latest firmware into another cell phone. Nothing changed. I use the remote control when I fly my spark. Do I have to adjust finely or change some function by cellphone? Do you have any idea? Thank you very much.

CopterTube Hi, enjoy your vids! I have the fly more combo and follow all the directions but it won't go into face recognition mode. I want to fly with the remote or phone, so I turn on, wait for the warm up process, tap the battery two times. The front led flash red two times and then solid. Back led flash yellow ( as in transmission lost but I want to fly it without the remote or phone. Please help!

Are There Andy Features in the Mavic which arent in the Spark?

The Mavic is the better drone 4K. Mavic doesn't have Palm control and that's about it. The Mavic will have 4 Mile Range, 40 MPH flight etc. The Sparks a good choice for a beginner or someone who only needs 1080P etc.
Personally I would buy the fly more kit for the Spark if anybody purchases this over a Mavic. You'll want the controller for range and it's not a bad value.
*Hopefully when CopterTube gets the controller we get another Cruise Ship chase lol.
You didn't lose reception, the drone lost tracking because you were wearing clothes the same color as the ground and it can't see you as it got further away.
