Thanks so much! - Ігри
I'M SO EXCITED FOR THIS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
We are too!
A settlement needs your help!
Ehi thanks guys for your impressions, very appreciated!
Im looking forward to this, that and wasteland warefare
Agreed! We got a chance to play both this weekend and they both seem pretty great!
Sounds cool, hope to give it a try someday. Wish they'd go with different Fallout art on the box but I understand why they'd want that recognizable Fallout 3 cover art.
ArrestedDeveloper yeah they mentioned that the game is primarily based on Fallout 3/4 so they’re trying to show that for sure. Fallout 3 is one of my absolute favorites so I can’t complain :)
can't wait for this thanks. guys!
You're welcome! Thanks for checking it out. We can't wait either!
would love to see a full fledged tabletop RPG based off of fallout
I'd be all over that!
Fallout PnP is a PDF online if you can work through the kinks
this looks fun
What looks fun is you can solo the game so it's not obligated to ALWAYS play with friends
I only played fallout 4 but will surely buy this one. Also the cards with the story reminds me of dead of winter.. Love that game also
I need it . NOW
Fantasy flight making all these ip's a tactile wet dream!
Preordered the game as soon as it popped up last week just for my love of Fallout. Glad to hear it might actually be a fun game!
Understandable...we're pretty pumped for it too!
Where can you pre-order?
I believe I saw it at Miniature Market and Coolstuffinc.
Board Game Replay thanks! I'll check there
Game looks pretty tight.
I saw them demoing this at Gen Con, but didn't get the chance to try it.
Thanks for posting this guys! Glad to see that this game looks as fun as the announcement made it seem. Uber specific question though... perchance do you recall how many "caps" tokens were utilized while you were playing? going to start holding onto beer bottle tops for painting. (understand the "not final components" sign, but an estimate is always good to have)
Hmm I didn't really look around and get a good count. If I had to guess I'd say it would be in the realm of 40-50 tokens...I'm sure we'll know more soon when they publish the rulebook.
This and wasteland warfare, I'm really excited for.
i bet you could work both of these into each other if you tried
Hey guys - great video - thanks so much as I really wanted to see the demo. Did you by any chance see the box for the game - I am wondering what size it will be. Thanks.
oldschool gamr thanks, glad you liked it! The box size as far as I could see was the same as Eldrich Horror / Dead of Winter, etc. not one of the super big boxes but generally the “standard” size.
Really hoping for the best for this one. I'm a huge Fallout fan and have been playing all the games for ages now and clocked about 1000 hours. I'm still buying this game even if the rating is a 6 or so.. Which I hardly think it will be ;)
Just one man's opinion but I don't think you'll have to worry about this being a 6 or so...I'm pretty sure it's going to be very good. FFG doesn't mess around with big licenses like this and I'm sure it's been well play tested!
Is the play mat available as well?
I love FALLOUT so much, I am gonna buy 2 copies!!
Haha, that's the spirit!
Why stop at two haha
Hey Matt. Can each of the guys pick 1 or 2 favorite demos at the end? Hype is one thing but demo play is more predictable. Thanks for sharing.
That's a good idea! We'll certainly cover something like this in our Gen Con wrap up video once we get home!
Top knot
Nice, this looks way better than Wasteland warefare.
whats the release date
It says 1-4 players, any idea how it would play solo?
This was described to us as sort of a semi-cooperative experience where each player has to obtain a certain number of victory points from completing certain objectives. I would assume playing solo is just one person doing that, without the potential help (or obstruction) of other players. Can't be sure to we see the rulebook though!
Thanks for the reply, guess we'll wait and see! I love the Fallout video games, if this can translate into an immersive board game it would be awesome.
Where can I get the Mat from?
I don't think this mat will be for sale. It seemed like it was a table mat for the demo.
Board Game Replay that's a shame! Oh well it still looks like a great game!
Myself and 6 friends were excited until we found out it's only 4 players :(.
Understandable! But I have to say with all the story events and text being read the max count of 4 players was likely kept to keep the game length down. No reason why you couldn't play in teams though right? We do that from time to time with smaller player count games.
Board Game Replay. Seems strange to keep the play time down, comming from FF who make the longest playing time board game ever - twilight imperium. We tend to play all together only using 4 player games for when some of us are away which isn't often. Just finished Kingdom of Death and waiting for expansions to come through. Could buy two I guess but that depends on price.
I don't really know the real reason for keeping it to 4 honestly, I'm just speculating. Generally speaking though, super long board games (TI4, KD, etc) are even more niche so keeping things to 1-2 hours is probably more appealing to most.
Board Game Replay. Sure, makes sense. Just wish we had the option of 4 to 8 players, then it's up to us as players. 4 player game by a company that knows there is a need for games with more than 4 players is strange or maybe they don't know. Could be expansions, that's one way of increasing number of players. Shame though but it is what it is.
Where can i get this??
It looks like Gamestop actually has this game in stock right now. If it's sold out online, you can check for a local store and grab it with store pickup (it will be cheaper than way too!).
So when you've stolen 10k in caps you still win right? :3
This game looks fun, but a bit lucky and non-strategic. It also looks like there's minimal player interaction, apart from nicking peoples' victory points.
This looks so cool, yet is probably expensive AF.
Admiral Jackson they said the MSRP is $60 for this.
Admiral Jackson It's about the price of one video game in the UK (£48).
Deff worth a buy, cannot wait to get me hand on it.
$60 on the web site
That's pretty standard board game cost.
Shame this ended up being kind of rubbish
Big, detailed hero minis, yet enemies are represented by bland tokens. Kind of defeats the purpose for me. This game looks like a prototype with unfinished graphics. The card design does not even remind me of anything Fallout related when it comes to the art (or the lack of it) and graphic design.
Krzysztof Szarawarski right now it is still in prototype form so it could certainly change a bit, can’t say for sure though.
Board Game Replay Can't really compare prototype art to final art. It's like apples to oranges.
Krzysztof Szarawarski Hm... IT IS a prototype, there's even a big "Prototype" sign on the table...
My bad, somehow I missed it. This covers the graphics, but what about the enemy figures ? I cant imagine paying $60 for a game with cardboard enemies, when FFG has made us accustomed to beautifully crafted figures in their past games.
Sean Thompson I was thinking the same. Another way of stealing my pay cheque
