Me and my wife love solo and co op board games, so we set a house rule, like "dont complete others quest/quest line" Thanks to your review, I will buy the expansion. Thank you very much for the kind words, its funny because the group I played with set the same house rule on our second game. Finishing/stealing others quests took the fun out of it in a big way, the co-operative part however really does make it so much more fun, and makes the questing on wasteland and settlement spaces more worthwhile because of the variety of cards. I do hope they expand on the game some more, as the more cards the more replayable the game becomes!

I love your enthusiasm for this game, I know its gotten a lot of flak for its flaws and probably rightly so, but fun is still subjective and I always enjoy watching a good review and playthrough! Myself, I bought the game a few weeks back at a bargain, and picked up the AB expansion soon after. Im not sure how highly id rate the game right now, still learning and fumbling with the rules, but its definitely fun!

Hi, I want to ask something, can I possibly buy this one without the original Board game? I live in a country where the original is overpriced (about 100€) and New California is cheap (40€).
So if I undestood, you will use all the esagonal cards, also the ones added with the expansion, so you will not risk to lose intersting settlments like vaults ( that you need for some mission) when you prepere scenary, is it right?...that will increase the difficulty of discover all the area that is needed to do more extra points in the case you have to do it, is it true?
Hi Sergio. You don't need Atomic Bonds to play this expansion, just a copy of the core game. Atomic Bonds would be nice though if cooperative games is specifically what you're after.
Its a question that never occurred to me before. If you are playing competitively then no. Its a 4 player max. The agenda cards set the difficulty and pace of the game and you use them according to player count. Co-operatively however the extra player count shouldnt matter as the agenda cards have a different function... there is another expansion coming out that has co-operative secenario for all the games. Ive never played it with more than four though, its also suffers slowdown a little with more players
So, you were sold a flawed game, a good but flawed game. They do an expansion that don't fix it but it's also good. So go and buy it too, but try to play forgetting about the flaws. Lol?
Things don't have to be perfect to be enjoyed. All that is enjoyable is enhanced in the expansion. Some can overlook the flaws and some cannot. Both opinions are fine.

I created dioramas for endings like robots taking over the wasreland and using dice to subtract damage when you reach new levels in battle.

It made me incredibly disappointed to realize that those are the fallout 1 and 2 video games rather than separate expansions
Man. FFG really missed the boat by not making this a long term, balanced campaign style game with proper progression.

Obsidian would make an outer worlds board game and it would destroy Bethesda once again.
Bethesda has nothing to do with the board game, blame FFG that has completely lost their way the past few years.
