    Loved the video, I like the whole mechanical look of that. Originally I thought the end music was from the film Robots where they have a similar contraption for crossing the city.....then I realised it was the opening music from Short Circuit where they show the construction of the Nova Robots (or at least I think it is).

    Very nice build. I am surprised Mr Wow hasn't commandeered this for herself to play with.

    That is really unusual but actually quite fun - I could imagine spending an odd 10 minutes running that ... fairly frequently!
    Sad isn't it? !!

    Has anyone ever added a drop of superglue to a couple of key joints which are subject to wobble stress (like those supporting the crank assembly).

    I have the Owl clock. took me over 3 weeks to almost finish.. it required a LOT of sanding and some cuts... I could never finish it because when I got to the sprigs the damn thing would not come together and its just sitting in a box now.. very fiddly . It was a mock up of the original owl.... I failed miserably. BTW I thought I saw this same puzzle with a electric motor?

    must be a different kit to mine, noticed some of your parts (side walls) were see through and possible plastic ! (and therefore stronger) made be because the video is speeded up you made it look easy, but in fact it is fiddly, tricky and requires a lot of patience and precision. Especially too get the handle to turn the cog wheel without sticking or jamming (and yes i know that is what the wax is supplied for). Some parts are very small and are easy to break and the instructions are not the most clear. Okay for an experienced and competent model builder like Wayne

    • @WorldofWayneUK
      @WorldofWayneUK  2 роки тому

      Funny enough, I never used the wax

    • @pitviper7924
      @pitviper7924 2 роки тому

      I feel the tolerances are so tight on the design, you have to seat the parts correctly.
      I built two kits and find the only weakness in the design is the, I am not sure how to call it, flipper/two state diverter. When the balls are led through it, the parts bounces and doesn't stay in the intended state. I am going to play with this part, possibly add a little weight. Also you have to have a level surface when using it, because the incline of each ramp is critical.
      So yes, this is a build for somebody that enjoys figuring out how things work and if they don't, why.
