Firstly, in John 9, using the NKJV, Jesus was asked whether this blind man's parents sinned or he did himself. What did Jesus reply? He was born this way so God could be glorified. Secondly, 2 Tim 4 tells us that Paul left Trophimus, who was sick and remained so, at Miletus. Why didn't Paul heal his faithful brother in Christ? God's intention was that we never get sick, die, or hurt. But sin ruined that. So here we are. Stop with your word faith garbage and repent while you still can, old man. Here's a couple of other thoughts you might try, but, I suggest that you drop him like a hot rock to save yourself some headaches. #1. the woman with the issue of blood. Same as the man born blind. Neither sinned. Healing was a sign to show who the Messiah was. The bible also says, I was born in sin and shaped in iniquity. The Greek prepositions for "IN" "WITH" "BY MEANS OF" and "USING" are all the same so you can read it as I was born BY MEANS OF SIN...... Simply this is why Jesus didn't have an earthly father. NO sin nature. Sin is in the Soul. Being born of the Spirit does not change the soul. It gives you something you never had before. Every person from Adam and Eve was born spiritually dead. Paul says he shouldn't do the things he does and asks who's going to save him from that problem. Mike has no idea what the "thorn in the flesh" is. Many people miss it and yet the answer is right there; however a little bit of geography helps explain it too. Paul even says in his other letters, that they can see what large letters he is using. Paul had an eye disease and was in the territory that was known for it and sold a salve in the area. The thorn was the fact that people didn't want to look at him because of his many physical problems of beatings, whippings, and now an eye problem. Paul thought they would not listen to him; but the bible said that the people thought his words were "weighty". Full of God's power. This is why God said, "my grace is sufficient for you". Justin's ministry points out the greatest deception in this Era that may just be what the scripture said in 1 Thessalonians 4. So many people, like I used to be, are deceived by not only the prosperity gospel, but also by some denominations that profess that some of the gifts are still in effect. When I seen that the Hindus spoke in tongues that sound strikingly similar to denominational people that speak in tongues and are also slain in the spirit, drunk in the spirit, laughing in the spirit ect.... I was shocked, and my eyes opened to it immediately. I've been to a couple of the Faith conferences at Rhema and witnessed and experienced these such things. I've attended services that had some of the "high profile" faith teachers, such as Billy Joe Daugherty, Mark Hankins, John Bevere, Hagee, Kenneth Copeland and many others. I live in the Tulsa OK area and it's very centered around the Faith, health and wealth teaching with Ken Hagin in the area. Long story short, Justin has opened my eyes, along with MacArthur and of course, the Bible.
Watching the passion of Christ 20 years ago made me realize at least understand a little more of what Jesus went through. without watching it, I would’ve been able to and it really did make me feel pain and hurt in my heart for Jesus and I thank him for everything that he did for me on the cross and more..

On Prophesy and interpretation if Jesus Christ is the same yesterday today and tomorrow this means God is unchangeable the word of God is Unchangeable. What does a thorn in the flesh do? Well it causes pain and suffering. Just as Jesus suffered in the wilderness by being tempted by Satan, Jesus then allowed Satan to tempt Paul in order to make him stronger in the Holy Spirit. “And lest I should be exalted above measure by the abundance of the revelations, a thorn in the flesh was given to me, a messenger of Satan to buffet me, lest I be exalted above measure. Concerning this thing I pleaded with the Lord three times that it might depart from me. And He said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore most gladly I will rather boast in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me. For when I am weak, then I am strong.” II Corinthians 12:7-10 NKJV If Paul was able to remove the sickness from everyone who came to him then what could possibly make anyone think that he was someone who had sickness in his life? Couldn’t Paul just remove the sickness from himself as he did with those who came to him for healing? Plus if Paul was bitten by a venomous snake and yet it did no harm to him how could anyone possibly believe that Paul was someone who could then get sick himself? Many people are deceived in their beliefs and they do not understand that Paul’s infirmity was a physical weakness or ailment and it definitely was not a sickness. Next, I want you to understand that there are over 2000 different bible versions that all have different translations, words and different meanings and a lot of these bible versions are leading many souls astray. If you watch Justin Peter’s visit to Charis Bible College video you will see him reference the NASB1995 version of Exodus 4:11-12 to justify his cerebral palsy since he is insinuating that God is the one who is making people have sickness and disabilities. “The LORD said to him, “Who has made man’s mouth? Or who makes him mute or deaf, or seeing or blind? Is it not I, the LORD?” Exodus 4:11 NASB1995 So if you read this version of the Bible, yes it does state that God makes human beings blind, deaf or mute. But know I want to give you another Bible version and show you how it reads: “So the LORD said to him, “Who has made man’s mouth? Or who makes the mute, the deaf, the seeing, or the blind? Have not I, the LORD? Exodus 4:11 NKJV When you read this version it is not stating that God made them mute, deaf or blind but that God made the individual, whether they were someone who was deaf, mute or blind. God is not saying that He inflicted the disability on them. God loves you and He wants you to be healthy for He is the God who heals you. So why would a loving God who loves you and heals you want to make you sick? Now allow me to give you a couple of other scriptures that misguided souls often like to use just as Justin Peters just did in his Visit to Charis Bible College video. This is all I know for the past 20yrs I have been jumping through all the below hoops to no avail: Go to church; tithe; claim Word; seek God; have enough faith; break generational curses; keep praising while waiting; God’s timing; water baptism; pray in tongues; take communion everyday; listen to worship music; no sin; fasting; forgive everyone; say the sinners prayer for God’s forgiveness. As a repentant homosexual, I reject the idea that all homosexual relationships preclude love and romance and strictly stem from lust. I never asked for the desire to have a romantic interest in men instead of women. Who wants to purposefully complicate his/her life? Nevertheless, whether it's a genetic, neurological or gestational flaw caused by the Fall of Adam and Eve, homosexual behavior remains inexcusable and immoral; however, it's forgiveable, according to the Apostle Paul. Given that adultery infests our world, should we assume that this immoral behavior stems from love because it's heterosexual? No, I would argue that it predominantly stems from lust. We need to stop pretending that sexual immorality is exclusively homosexual and conveniently ignore other fornication. And incidentally, although God has granted me the gift of celibacy, I continue to struggle with homosexual attraction; I never suddenly stopped desiring men and will always battle with this temptation. Celibacy is acceptable because I'm married in Christ and get the privilege of focusing on Him. Ultimately, He's all that matters. Everyone is fallen, and we all need Christ's atonement and forgiveness. If we're going to condemn sexual immorality, then let's be fair about it. Remember what Paul taught about who would never inherit the Kingdom of Heaven; I can assure you, it wasn't limited to homosexuals. I would love to see how Justin peters would explain 1 Corinthians 14 when Paul tells every man to bring an interpretation or vision or prophecy before the church as a body so that these issues could be edifying to the body. Why do we not do this specific practice today. I understand that preaching is the main office of the church but it’s clear that every man who attended church was commanded to bring their own study to the church. So I wonder what he would say is the reasoning for this not being taught today in the church, considering that we take everything else in 1 Corinthians as a guide for how gentiles should do church today?

I have listened to Justin Peters so many times and he is very strict and i totally understand but on the movie part i have to disagree because so many people who are lost watch movies instead of reading the Bible and if they understand that they need a savior then they will be lead by the Holy Spirit to read the Bible and God will do the rest!

Jesus said, if you don't believe in me, believe in the work that I do. Therefore the word OBEY is referring to the work Jesus did. It's literally talking about the type of sacrifice that you are bringing to God. The only sacrifice that God accepts is Jesus. If he is not your sacrifice, then the wrath of God abides on you. Jesus is our propitiation for sin. Read 1John 2:2 God's wrath is appeased for now against the world but his salvation is only given to those who believe in who Jesus is. Many people back in Jesus' time knew he existed. So "believing" in him was not the issue. It's believing in who he is as the Messiah. The word for Wrath, is God's righteous anger against sin. Therefore having Jesus as your sacrifice gives you life. Believing that Jesus existed, does nothing for you. hope this helped.

Just because you might "believe" in something, doesn't make it right. People "believe" in the wrong thing all the time. Faith is not the same as belief. If you look at a chair you've never seen before and want to sit down in it; you only believe it will hold you. Faith on the other hand comes after the proof of sitting down. You now KNOW that it will hold you. Faith demands an object for you to put it into. It's Jesus. No one put faith into Jesus unless they knew who he was or what he could do. The signs of the Messiah were proof of who he was. When he did them, now you knew he could do them. So what Jesus wants is for you to believe, which is called THE GOOD in Greek. It's a "work" for you to do and you obey from then on. Jesus wants you to obey by believing in who he is and what he does. You can only obey his commandments by believing who he is first. Just like in the Greek for the word "GREATER". There are two different words but all you get in the English is the word "greater". One means "greater in number" or "amount". This is the one that Jesus told the Apostles they would do. It was for them only. GREATER WORKS THAN THESE SHALL YOU DO. It's greater in number. The other word means "greater in quality". There's also the word for NEW which means new in quality also. such as 'BEHOLD I CREATE NEW HEAVENS AND A NEW EARTH. They are both different than the existing ones and better in quality. So as you see, it all comes down to proper application. The king james has a bad habit of trying to tell you what it means by putting in a lot of words in italics. The problem is, those are not in the Greek text. Like the word "Even". It's not in the text, or the word Unknown; it's not in the text. This is where people make BIG mistakes with scripture and meanings. So the one in John 3:36 does not obey the son through believing in him. The ones who believe in him have obeyed him. Scripture can not contradict itself. So be careful how you study. It's great that you noticed the difference in the verses. Challenge everything to find out what things mean. Testing the spirits is done by comparing things done, or said, against what the bible says. It is our only standard of truth. someone is right and someone is wrong. The Message Bible isn’t saying what Justin is saying it says and I don’t know if he’s doing that on purpose or by accident. It says very clearly “Sexually confused, they abused and defiled one another, women with women and men with men” and then makes the connection between that type of sex with lust where a right and godly relationship would be man and woman. I pray he seeks the Lord about his hearts intentions when he looks at other believers. There comes a point when you start to think like the Pharisees and you just want to find something wrong with other people and believers but I don’t know if it’s just an inability to understand what he’s reading because it’s clear what the Message translation is saying and it’s just worded differently.

But how can you believe the Gospel if you are not convicted of your sins? When the apostles traveled preaching the word signs and wonders were always present. Have you seen or heard of anyone today that could legitimately claim that they have those gifts?... The Bible might not tell you if you should buy a new car but if you read it you'll see the hints. Do you want to buy it only cause it's a new model? Vanity. Do you want to buy it cause everybody else has one and you feel bad about not having one? Envy. Do you want to buy it so others will admire you? Pride, etc, etc, etc.

Please, please read the book of 1 John. You must see the truth for yourself. I once believed as you do until the Father called me to study myself approved by God rightfully dividing the word of Truth 2 Timothy 2 :15 . When you read 1 John you will see that true belief in God will lead you to repentance. And repentance will lead you to obedience to righteousness. Psalm 119:142 Your righteousness is an everlasting righteousness and your Torah is the Truth. The scriptures tell you over abd over again to repent and walk in his ways. I agree with Peters on alot but his take on CRT and DEI are off. The way he describe CRT implies he doesn't understand it as a way of veiwing history and human interactions within a society. And his take on DEI is very bad in that it doesn't understand the need to make space for other people. He is very well seated within white evangelical thought and doesn't recognize how those places and people could be blind to brothers and sisters coming from other cultures. I'm black and I see the lack of desire to be interested in the issues that face black Christians in the US. Both are about decentering and critically viewing the places and history we inhabit. Mark 16:20 In verse 14 Jesus is clear when he rebuked THEM for THEIR unbelief. Therefore the pronouns only point to the apostles. Those signs confirmed that the apostles were from God and they were not false teachers. The signs confirmed the spoken message of God through the apostles. That message was written down and we call it the BIBLE. Therefore when the apostles died, all of the sign gifts are GONE. Only the gifts for the church are still here. TONGUES ARE FOR A SIGN. You can't get out of that one. It tells you that all the ones listed in Mark 16 : 17-18 are also sign gifts. All miracles from all of the Apostles were diminishing over time. Simple proof is James. He had the sign gifts and yet he told people of the church to call for the ELDERS PLURAL. That proves that no one man had the use or purpose of healing. God was giving less of his word, and therefore the need for the gifts were fading away just like Paul said they would. Try reading what Paul said in 2 Corinth 12:12. Read Acts 2:43 and 5:12 and 10:42 and 14:3. All of this proves that the sign gifts were NOT for the common believer. How do you misread Mark 16: 17-20? Not one verse ever shows common believers doing signs to confirm God's message. Hebrews 2:3-4 is absolute proof. The Greek, which I'm sure you don't understand, tells you specifically that the sign gifts are for the Apostles. The word for Gifts in verse 4 MERISMOS Means DIVIDINGS. THAT MEANS SPECIFIC GIFTS THAT CONFIRMED GOD'S MESSAGE WERE GIVEN TO, DIVIDED TO, THE APOSTLES ONLY. That word, Merismos is used ONLY ONCE in the bible. There is NO alternate translation or interpretation possible. DON"T try to tell me I'm wrong when you know nothing of explaining passages or trying to comprehend Greek. Like I said, your lack of answers to what I said, proves you have no understanding as to what God was doing in the new testament with the Apostles. If all believers could or should do signs, then we have no need for the apostles for anything. They have their names written on stone in heaven. You do not. The little word IF in Greek is the first class IF. That means SINCE AND IT IS TRUE. It does NOT mean MAYBE. The word "Suffer" connects to the word BEWITCHED in verse ONE. Verse 4 "IN VAIN" means without purpose. Therefore each question in verses 2, 3, and 4, all have a NO answer. Therefore when you get to verse 5, Paul is asking them, DID GOD HIMSELF DO THIS BY THE WORKS OF THE LAW? NO . NOW ROGER PAY ATTENTION: Paul then asks, "Or by HEARING with faith"? The word HEARING means the teaching was coming from HIM and God. ALL OF THIS BECAME SCRIPTURE. SCRIPTURE IS FINISHED. The miracles that were provided to confirm God's message were in use at the time, but when the bible was finished, those "confirming miracles" are gone. Any NEW "hearing" was finished. There was nothing more to give. How are the Galatians going to HEAR unless the preachers are SENT Plus Paul writing to them. So when you read scripture properly and have proper application of the language being used, then it does not allow you to come up with your own ideas and interpretations. You must read it from what is actually there. I'm guessing that your "teacher" knows nothing of the four classes of the word IF in Greek. Therefore he can not explain it. I offered to go over scripture to have a discussion and all you did was tell me I was wrong right off the bat. You have no concern on getting scripture correct. You have a "point of view" which violates scripture and it doesn't bother you one bit. So unless you can stop asking me "new things and questions" you need not reply. Dodging bible facts is not a good way to "rightly divide the word of truth". So to end this, I'll answer your question of who he is talking to. There are three main errors in ANY church, both then in Paul's day and of today. #1. LEGALISM Which is Salvation by WORKS. #2. FALSE LIBERTY, meaning a license to sin. #3. Galatianism. Those are the people that believe that they are KEPT saved and GROW in Christ by "Works". In verse 6 "DESERTING" MEANS: TO PLACE AFTER. So here it means to have knowledge of grace, but they "Place after it" a work system to try to atone for future sins. They try to give you another standard to measure your life by instead of the pure word of God. The problem for you is that you measure your relationship to God through "miracles and signs". That is the wrong kind of ground. This leads to the violations of scripture rather than the sufficiency of scripture. Paul is severely warning them about their belief system. Everything that God said became scripture. God does not talk to anyone outside of scripture through the Holy Spirit. To believe so is heresy. There is no such things as ON GOING REVELATION.

I do understand that. However in my experience, many non believers and new believers are drawn to many of these preachers and, in the case Of the Chosen, less than perfect means of evangelism. Whether we agree with everything or not, often this is their only exposure to God or to salvation. Prayerfully many will be exposed to other teaching later. But meanwhile, something is better than nothing.
Did you ever notice how much “The Chosen” and the “Book of Mormon” have in common. They both take an event from Scripture and create a narrative to describe what might have happened leading up to that event. It really makes me wonder why so many view, “The Chosen” as wholesome entertainment, but the “Book of Mormon” as dangerous theology. After all, wasn’t this the downfall of the Jews who believed the inaccurate characterization of Christ created by the Pharisee that caused them not to be able to recognize Christ when He came? But our pride tells us, “oh, that will never happen to me”, yet look at how many miss out on all the blessings we’re promised through our observance of the Feasts and Festivals of the Lord (Leviticus 23), because they follow the traditions of men and keep pagan sun god observances like a; sun day Sabbath, x-mas and e-ster. I mean, if “The Chosen” is harmless, then so must “The Book of Mormon”, right?
Cessationism is indeed a quenching of the Spirit. It is false. The bible speaks of those who have a "form of religion" but who "deny the power thereof". Cessationism falls generally into this category.
Richard Price: do you always lie against people like that? NO ONE said "the spirit of god ended at any time. IS GOD DEAD? God is NOT A SPIRIT. HE IS Spirit itself. A spirit are angels. They are created beings. The thing that ended with the Apostles was the sign gifts. Mark 16:20 tells you those signs in verses 17-18 are for CONFIRMING GOD'S SPOKEN WORD THROUGH THE APOSTLES. Therefore when the apostles died, all of the sign gifts are gone. Most of them had already ceased before that. The regular gifts for the church are obviously still in force to edify the church. Only the sign gifts are gone. The apostles were given the authority over common people. When they spoke the word of God, one of the signs happened immediately to prove the apostles were from God and not from false teachers. If the apostles were not different from regular people, then there would be no need for them. The word LOGOS in Greek specifically refers to the message from God. The word RHEMA means words put together to make sentences. That's just common speaking. Jesus sent THEM OUT, not you or me. So when the word had been confirmed, it is now called THE BIBLE. All of the sign gifts are gone. Paul told the church of Corinth that it would happen and it did. Justin Peters is hardly a false teacher. Whoever your source is, has led you astray and you are not applying scripture correctly. Study to show yourself approved unto God........

Firstly, in John 9, using the NKJV, Jesus was asked whether this blind man's parents sinned or he did himself. What did Jesus reply? He was born this way so God could be glorified.
Secondly, 2 Tim 4 tells us that Paul left Trophimus, who was sick and remained so, at Miletus. Why didn't Paul heal his faithful brother in Christ?

NO sin nature. Sin is in the Soul. Being born of the Spirit does not change the soul. It gives you something you never had before. Every person from Adam and Eve was born spiritually dead. Paul says he shouldn't do the things he does and asks who's going to save him from that problem. Mike has no idea what the "thorn in the flesh" is. Many people miss it and yet the answer is right there; however a little bit of geography helps explain it too. Paul even says in his other letters, that they can see what large letters he is using. Paul had an eye disease and was in the territory that was known for it and sold a salve in the area. The thorn was the fact that people didn't want to look at him because of his many physical problems of beatings, whippings, and now an eye problem. Paul thought they would not listen to him; but the bible said that the people thought his words were "weighty". Full of God's power. This is why God said, "my grace is sufficient for you". Justin's ministry points out the greatest deception in this Era that may just be what the scripture said in 1 Thessalonians 4. So many people, like I used to be, are deceived by not only the prosperity gospel, but also by some denominations that profess that some of the gifts are still in effect. When I seen that the Hindus spoke in tongues that sound strikingly similar to denominational people that speak in tongues and are also slain in the spirit, drunk in the spirit, laughing in the spirit ect.... I was shocked, and my eyes opened to it immediately.
I've been to a couple of the Faith conferences at Rhema and witnessed and experienced these such things. I've attended services that had some of the "high profile" faith teachers, such as Billy Joe Daugherty, Mark Hankins, John Bevere, Hagee, Kenneth Copeland and many others. I live in the Tulsa OK area and it's very centered around the Faith, health and wealth teaching with Ken Hagin in the area. Long story short, Justin has opened my eyes, along with MacArthur and of course, the Bible.

He and many others foolishly believe that Paul’s thorn in the flesh was a sickness and these people clearly prove that they do not understand God or scripture. What does a thorn in the flesh do? Well it causes pain and suffering. Just as Jesus suffered in the wilderness by being tempted by Satan, Jesus then allowed Satan to tempt Paul in order to make him stronger in the Holy Spirit.
“And lest I should be exalted above measure by the abundance of the revelations, a thorn in the flesh was given to me, a messenger of Satan to buffet me, lest I be exalted above measure. Concerning this thing I pleaded with the Lord three times that it might depart from me. If Paul was able to remove the sickness from everyone who came to him then what could possibly make anyone think that he was someone who had sickness in his life? Couldn’t Paul just remove the sickness from himself as he did with those who came to him for healing? Plus if Paul was bitten by a venomous snake and yet it did no harm to him how could anyone possibly believe that Paul was someone who could then get sick himself? Many people are deceived in their beliefs and they do not understand that Paul’s infirmity was a physical weakness or ailment and it definitely was not a sickness.
Next, I want you to understand that there are over 2000 different bible versions that all have different translations, words and different meanings and a lot of these bible versions are leading many souls astray. If you watch Justin Peter’s visit to Charis Bible College video you will see him reference the NASB1995 version of Exodus 4:11-12 to justify his cerebral palsy since he is insinuating that God is the one who is making people have sickness and disabilities.
“The LORD said to him, “Who has made man’s mouth? Or who makes him mute or deaf, or seeing or blind? Is it not I, the LORD?”

So if you read this version of the Bible, yes it does state that God makes human beings blind, deaf or mute. But know I want to give you another Bible version and show you how it reads:

Exodus 4:11 NKJV
When you read this version it is not stating that God made them mute, deaf or blind but that God made the individual, whether they were someone who was deaf, mute or blind. God is not saying that He inflicted the disability on them. God loves you and He wants you to be healthy for He is the God who heals you. So why would a loving God who loves you and heals you want to make you sick?
Now allow me to give you a couple of other scriptures that misguided souls often like to use just as Justin Peters just did in his Visit to Charis Bible College video. (1 Timothy 5:23 and Galatians 4:13.) Realize that most of these people are probably reading from a bible version that has translated the word infirmity into meaning a sickness. Look here:

This is why the only truthful way for you to gain your knowledge of scripture is to learn it directly from Jesus Himself through testing the Spirits as commanded in 1 John 4. Sin and sickness is strictly of the devil and sickness reveals they we are disobeying God and living in sin. God made it very clear that He would remove sickness and disease from anyone who did not sin and who would obey what He commanded in scripture. This is why the devil can no longer put his afflictions on anyone who is truly born of God because they are now someone who can no longer sin since they are now being guided by God’s Holy Spirit.

Know what this means? First transgression, it means an act that goes against a rule, a law or a code of conduct. Next iniquity, it means a wicked act or thing, sin. Finally, affliction, it means something that causes persistent pain or suffering. Translated it is saying that you are a fool if you do not follow God’s laws and commands and you go and sin because you will then have pain, suffering and sickness.
Believers who are suffering with a sickness, a disease or a disability are not comprehending what scripture is relating and this is why have allowed sin and the devil to destroy their lives. They do not understand that Jesus provided us with a way to overcome sin and sickness in this lifetime and that was by allowing His Holy Spirit to sanctify our hearts in God’s word and truth.

This is all I know for the past 20yrs I have been jumping through all the below hoops to no avail: Go to church; tithe; claim Word; seek God; have enough faith; break generational curses; keep praising while waiting; God’s timing; water baptism; pray in tongues; take communion everyday; listen to worship music; no sin; fasting; forgive everyone; say the sinners prayer for God’s forgiveness.

Jesus would have never instructed the man that He had healed to sin no more if it were impossible for the man to stop sinning. Plus what this scripture is also revealing is that it was the man’s sin that brought the afflictions into his life. This is why Jesus warned him that if he did not stop sinning then a worse affliction could come upon him. In Deuteronomy 28 God related His blessings for those who would obey Him and the curses that will occur on anyone who chooses to live in sin and disobedience. Sickness is definitely listed as a curse and it clearly reveals that you are a sinner who lacks knowledge of scripture since you are disobeying God.

As a repentant homosexual, I reject the idea that all homosexual relationships preclude love and romance and strictly stem from lust. I never asked for the desire to have a romantic interest in men instead of women. Who wants to purposefully complicate his/her life? Nevertheless, whether it's a genetic, neurological or gestational flaw caused by the Fall of Adam and Eve, homosexual behavior remains inexcusable and immoral; however, it's forgiveable, according to the Apostle Paul. Given that adultery infests our world, should we assume that this immoral behavior stems from love because it's heterosexual? No, I would argue that it predominantly stems from lust. And incidentally, although God has granted me the gift of celibacy, I continue to struggle with homosexual attraction; I never suddenly stopped desiring men and will always battle with this temptation. Celibacy is acceptable because I'm married in Christ and get the privilege of focusing on Him. Ultimately, He's all that matters. Everyone is fallen, and we all need Christ's atonement and forgiveness. If we're going to condemn sexual immorality, then let's be fair about it. Remember what Paul taught about who would never inherit the Kingdom of Heaven; I can assure you, it wasn't limited to homosexuals. We need to demonstrate compassion for the lost without sanctimonious attitudes.

I would love to see how Justin peters would explain 1 Corinthians 14 when Paul tells every man to bring an interpretation or vision or prophecy before the church as a body so that these issues could be edifying to the body. Why do we not do this specific practice today. I understand that preaching is the main office of the church but it’s clear that every man who attended church was commanded to bring their own study to the church. So I wonder what he would say is the reasoning for this not being taught today in the church, considering that we take everything else in 1 Corinthians as a guide for how gentiles should do church today?

John 3:36 reads differently in the KJV.

Jesus said, if you don't believe in me, believe in the work that I do. Therefore the word OBEY is referring to the work Jesus did. It's literally talking about the type of sacrifice that you are bringing to God. The only sacrifice that God accepts is Jesus. If he is not your sacrifice, then the wrath of God abides on you. Jesus is our propitiation for sin. Read 1John 2:2 God's wrath is appeased for now against the world but his salvation is only given to those who believe in who Jesus is. Many people back in Jesus' time knew he existed. So "believing" in him was not the issue. It's believing in who he is as the Messiah. The word for Wrath, is God's righteous anger against sin. Therefore having Jesus as your sacrifice gives you life. Believing that Jesus existed, does nothing for you. hope this helped.

Just because you might "believe" in something, doesn't make it right. People "believe" in the wrong thing all the time. Faith is not the same as belief. If you look at a chair you've never seen before and want to sit down in it; you only believe it will hold you. Faith on the other hand comes after the proof of sitting down. You now KNOW that it will hold you. Faith demands an object for you to put it into. It's Jesus. No one put faith into Jesus unless they knew who he was or what he could do. The signs of the Messiah were proof of who he was. When he did them, now you knew he could do them. So what Jesus wants is for you to believe, which is called THE GOOD in Greek. It's a "work" for you to do and you obey from then on. Jesus wants you to obey by believing in who he is and what he does. You can only obey his commandments by believing who he is first. Just like in the Greek for the word "GREATER". There are two different words but all you get in the English is the word "greater". One means "greater in number" or "amount". This is the one that Jesus told the Apostles they would do. It was for them only. GREATER WORKS THAN THESE SHALL YOU DO. It's greater in number. The other word means "greater in quality". There's also the word for NEW which means new in quality also. such as 'BEHOLD I CREATE NEW HEAVENS AND A NEW EARTH. They are both different than the existing ones and better in quality. So as you see, it all comes down to proper application. The king james has a bad habit of trying to tell you what it means by putting in a lot of words in italics. The problem is, those are not in the Greek text. Like the word "Even". It's not in the text, or the word Unknown; it's not in the text. This is where people make BIG mistakes with scripture and meanings. So the one in John 3:36 does not obey the son through believing in him. The ones who believe in him have obeyed him. Scripture can not contradict itself. So be careful how you study. It's great that you noticed the difference in the verses. Challenge everything to find out what things mean. Testing the spirits is done by comparing things done, or said, against what the bible says. It is our only standard of truth. someone is right and someone is wrong. It's up to us to find out which is which. Hope this helps.
This is really good! Justin is a true man of God… but, while he’s light years ahead of me in biblical knowledge I do have to disagree with the movie bit. As long as the Jesus movies are biblical they are appropriate.

My question is for those who claim and show fruits of salvation first, then choose the homosexual lifestyle after? I know 2 people very close to me just like this. Choosing the sinful lifestyle would tell you that they were not sincere in anything about salvation. They learned what words to say in order to lead people on, but in their hearts, were not of faith. If you thought those two people you know, were saved, then why are you still talking to them as if they are not? They have no conviction of the holy spirit over sin. The one thing you must understand about sin is that it is in two categories. One list that Paul gives refers to the ACT of the sin itself, which we can ALL do. Please, please read the book of 1 John. You must see the truth for yourself. I once believed as you do until the Father called me to study myself approved by God rightfully dividing the word of Truth 2 Timothy 2 :15 . When you read 1 John you will see that true belief in God will lead you to repentance. And repentance will lead you to obedience to righteousness. Psalm 119:142 Your righteousness is an everlasting righteousness and your Torah is the Truth. The scriptures tell you over abd over again to repent and walk in his ways. That proves that no one man had the use or purpose of healing. God was giving less of his word, and therefore the need for the gifts were fading away just like Paul said they would. Try reading what Paul said in 2 Corinth 12:12. Read Acts 2:43 and 5:12 and 10:42 and 14:3. All of this proves that the sign gifts were NOT for the common believer. How do you misread Mark 16: 17-20? Not one verse ever shows common believers doing signs to confirm God's message. Hebrews 2:3-4 is absolute proof. The Greek, which I'm sure you don't understand, tells you specifically that the sign gifts are for the Apostles. The word for Gifts in verse 4 MERISMOS Means DIVIDINGS. THAT MEANS SPECIFIC GIFTS THAT CONFIRMED GOD'S MESSAGE WERE GIVEN TO, DIVIDED TO, THE APOSTLES ONLY. That word, Merismos is used ONLY ONCE in the bible. There is NO alternate translation or interpretation possible. DON"T try to tell me I'm wrong when you know nothing of explaining passages or trying to comprehend Greek. Like I said, your lack of answers to what I said, proves you have no understanding as to what God was doing in the new testament with the Apostles. Therefore when you get to verse 5, Paul is asking them, DID GOD HIMSELF DO THIS BY THE WORKS OF THE LAW? NO . NOW ROGER PAY ATTENTION: Paul then asks, "Or by HEARING with faith"? The word HEARING means the teaching was coming from HIM and God. ALL OF THIS BECAME SCRIPTURE. SCRIPTURE IS FINISHED. The miracles that were provided to confirm God's message were in use at the time, but when the bible was finished, those "confirming miracles" are gone. Any NEW "hearing" was finished. There was nothing more to give. How are the Galatians going to HEAR unless the preachers are SENT Plus Paul writing to them. So when you read scripture properly and have proper application of the language being used, then it does not allow you to come up with your own ideas and interpretations. You must read it from what is actually there. I'm guessing that your "teacher" knows nothing of the four classes of the word IF in Greek. Therefore he can not explain it. I offered to go over scripture to have a discussion and all you did was tell me I was wrong right off the bat. You have no concern on getting scripture correct. You have a "point of view" which violates scripture and it doesn't bother you one bit. So unless you can stop asking me "new things and questions" you need not reply. Dodging bible facts is not a good way to "rightly divide the word of truth". So to end this, I'll answer your question of who he is talking to. There are three main errors in ANY church, both then in Paul's day and of today. #1. LEGALISM Which is Salvation by WORKS. #2. FALSE LIBERTY, meaning a license to sin. #3. Galatianism. Those are the people that believe that they are KEPT saved and GROW in Christ by "Works". In verse 6 "DESERTING" MEANS: TO PLACE AFTER. So here it means to have knowledge of grace, but they "Place after it" a work system to try to atone for future sins. They try to give you another standard to measure your life by instead of the pure word of God. The problem for you is that you measure your relationship to God through "miracles and signs". That is the wrong kind of ground. This leads to the violations of scripture rather than the sufficiency of scripture. Paul is severely warning them about their belief system. Everything that God said became scripture. God does not talk to anyone outside of scripture through the Holy Spirit. To believe so is heresy. There is no such things as ON GOING REVELATION.

I do understand that. However in my experience, many non believers and new believers are drawn to many of these preachers and, in the case Of the Chosen, less than perfect means of evangelism. Whether we agree with everything or not, often this is their only exposure to God or to salvation. Prayerfully many will be exposed to other teaching later. But meanwhile, something is better than nothing.
Did you ever notice how much “The Chosen” and the “Book of Mormon” have in common. They both take an event from Scripture and create a narrative to describe what might have happened leading up to that event. It really makes me wonder why so many view, “The Chosen” as wholesome entertainment, but the “Book of Mormon” as dangerous theology. After all, wasn’t this the downfall of the Jews who believed the inaccurate characterization of Christ created by the Pharisee that caused them not to be able to recognize Christ when He came? But our pride tells us, “oh, that will never happen to me”, yet look at how many miss out on all the blessings we’re promised through our observance of the Feasts and Festivals of the Lord (Leviticus 23), because they follow the traditions of men and keep pagan sun god observances like a; sun day Sabbath, x-mas and e-ster. They are created beings. The thing that ended with the Apostles was the sign gifts. Mark 16:20 tells you those signs in verses 17-18 are for CONFIRMING GOD'S SPOKEN WORD THROUGH THE APOSTLES. Therefore when the apostles died, all of the sign gifts are gone. Most of them had already ceased before that. The regular gifts for the church are obviously still in force to edify the church. Only the sign gifts are gone. The apostles were given the authority over common people. When they spoke the word of God, one of the signs happened immediately to prove the apostles were from God and not from false teachers. If the apostles were not different from regular people, then there would be no need for them. The word LOGOS in Greek specifically refers to the message from God. The word RHEMA means words put together to make sentences. That's just common speaking. Jesus sent THEM OUT, not you or me. So when the word had been confirmed, it is now called THE BIBLE. All of the sign gifts are gone. Paul told the church of Corinth that it would happen and it did. Justin Peters is hardly a false teacher. Jim A - I'm sorry to say that your not reading what the word is saying in 🐟John1:1 your replacing The Word of God with the name Jesus and you have fallen for the lie of the Trinity that makes The Word of God into a human person?
God is not human, we humans put human characteristics on God who is a Spirit being and is not visible to eye to see, read what Jesus said to nicodemus in John chapter 3 and 4!
