Was in Japan for holiday last Dec and visited Akihabara. Sadly I was not into the hobby back then so did not visit this place. Really looking forward to visit next time 🎉
You just need something to plug the earphones or headphones in to whether it be a dongle or a DAP. And yes, they have wet wipes on the shelves for you to wipe each earphone tip before you listen.
@@limhao5943I never thought about that when I was there,... I guess you could just disconnect the iems from the cable haha... But that being said, it's Japan. Everyone is generally pretty well mannered and honest.
Glad that you somewhat like the Fw10000, its my end game single DD, abit niche since you have to listen it in quite room for better performance as the iem is vented and can be easily affected by ambient noise. Im also interested in the Hs2000mx (mainly because of the cavity change capabilities) but the price is way out of my budgets, so i got an used final A8000.
Tbh I am yet to find something in the sub 700 that eclipses the M7, especially in terms of coherence, imaging and timbre (and I have tried a lot. Almost everything relevant under 1000). Good sound is timeless.
@@christopherbaxter1691 I like the Z1R but prefer the M9 to it. Z1R is more of a specialist IEM. It does staging, treble and bass incredibly well. While midrange is still better than almost all hyped up mediocre chi fi crap out there , M9's midrange is simply GOATed (only beaten by aroma jewel among the things I have tried, DITA Perpetua is in the same level as well but costs 3x more). I often prefer my M9 to my Arya Organic even. Also the size and weight of the Z1R is not for the faint hearted. I liked the Odin only with Hugo 2. Was too shouty with everything else and timbre is, lets say, unnatural.
@ahmedshafiul3851 I'll try a m9 and jewel, had not because ba bass is not for me. You might like u12t does male vocals really well, but ba bass. As for ierz1r mids I use aksp2000 copper which has great organic mids but with a ' linsoul lsc08 pure copper cable' deconi bullet foam tips, Sony's stock cable seems bright. Yea the fit, even with a nail file and fine emery paper on the sharp edges after 8 hrs awch, seems sony marketing dropped the ball here, all they needed was a good cable slightly rounded edges on a new shell and they could have sold truckloads, instead they are going for wireless iems.
@@christopherbaxter1691 I detest the u12t :3 very soft/mushy transients. Not my jam unfortunately. Sounds very bland to my ears. But thats the only 64audio IEM I liked (compared to other products of this brand)
Hey Theo, u heard the new Moondrop Dark Saber that's on pre-order anywhere on your recent travels? Looks like a slightly warmer tune, with smooth treble area and decent extension with dual DD set up. Looks interesting...
Sounds like more balanced version of the Varations. Around the same level for techs and stuff overall. Sounds good but the faceplate aesthetic looks meh imo lol
@@Precogvision How would you rate it as a whole compared to the S8, which we both like sound wise and technically??? Though the S8 was quite thing sounding, and so things didn't always sound so balanced on it...
@@H-4-D3423 So I just gave it another listen and it basically sounds like the S8 with a DD. I think I prefer the S8 more overall from memory even if it sounded thinner. And the build quality is significantly worse on the Dark Saber so yea
@@Precogvision Thanks Theo!! I'd hope the DS sounds a little more natural/realistic timbre wise with the tuning changes. Not 100% sold on the shell either... cheers, Wain
Should change the title to: I visited Japan to hear these earphones... meh. I'd heard of stores with IEMs you could demo, but I'd never looked into or given much thought to how it worked. I didn't realise they were just out on display and people walk up and pop them in their ears. I assumed there was either some kind of single use ear-tip dispenser or two buckets, one with clean ear-tips and another for used ones that staff would periodically clean. At the very least I expected there to be wipe dispensers.
Wet wipes are provided and you can wipe them off yourself, and the staff also wipes them off from time to time. 6:48 The white case in the scene introducing the QDC 8SS is a wipes dispenser.
I spent the last two weeks in Japan and had to go back twice... employees are great even and super willing to let you try whatever. I probably spent 10 hours there and used this guilt to justify buying some stax...
Very interested to check out E-Earphone, I was in that area in 2016 but hadn’t really gotten into audio (definitely not IEMs) by then.
It's bloody amazing!! I tried almost every IEM and headphone I've ever wanted to. It was literally Disney Land for my ears!

I see new a Precog video, I watch immediately. Lezzgooo
NO WAY I MISSED YOU I VISTED THERE SO MUCH ON MY TRIP
literally audiophile heaven
New release let's go
Such a cool store. Thanks for sharing.
Very cool, would love to visit one day!
So you can just try any demos as you like? Is there like wipes for people to clean in between? 🤔

@@lazyreuvinhow do they prevent people from stealing them?

@@limhao5943 the connectors are glued to the IEMs, and iirc the cable was connected to the display, so you can't steal them

Yea I'm trying to upgrade ierz1r have tryed 50+ iems nothing even matches the imaging and bass texture, oden was close.

Hey Great Video. The link on your ranking sheet seems broken. You can articulate things so well, I love hearing things from your opinion.

CanJam: Tokyo edition. I want to visit someday.
Are random people testing iems after each other without cleaning nozzle? They at least bring their own tips right?
Nice store
Empire ears raven review for you men
