I've been very into the scent of Lilly of the Valley this summer with its green soapy scent. As I looked through my collection, I had around 10 bottles that contained LotV including: Kirke, Lazy Sunday Morning, Soleil Passion, Gabrielle, Floris Limes, Chanel 5, so many. Once you start smelling for LotV - you can really smell it - and it opens a new facet to much loved fragrances in my collection.
Looooove Blanche Bête for any season. It’s so good. My favorite tuberose is French Flower from matière première. I’m wearing it today - it’s a juicy, perfectly ripe pear, sweet and bright tuberose with some tea and ginger to give it both a roundness and slight bit of effervescence respectively. I’m really surprised more people don’t talk about it

Our neighbourhood trees are mostly oaks and large magnolia trees which bloom all spring and summer. We are spoiled! There are also quite a few gardenia hedges and I stop to smell the fresh blooms on walks with the dog 😊 My favourite white flower is tuberose, it always reminds me of our honeymoon in Hawaii. I discovered Gritti’s Because I’m Free this year, and L’interdit Rouge is a classic. I might add Bouquet Encore to my collection

I ADORED the original Kate Spade. I couldn’t get enough of it. So sad it’s been discontinued for quite some time now. Neroli Amara I’ve had several years and the only person I’ve ever heard talk about it is Sebastian. I just wish it lasted longer. Thanks for another great video!

Chris I also get a fruity juice type note in Baciami!! It’s not just a regular floral to me!! And boy oh boy do I love Gardenias! I also have killed several gardenias and have alas given up on growing them. My grandmas were so healthy, happy and beautiful! They remind me of my childhood!
Great video. I have discovered that I like white florals too. I don’t like Ceramic but love Soft Tension from Andrea Maack. I’m on a slow buy right now so if I do buy anything anytime soon, it will be a more dense fragrance for the fall/winter. But I will be putting some of these on my sniff list for the spring 😊.
I am a sucker for tuberose of the bubblegum variety (My Way, L’Interdit) and jasmine (Gucci Bloom - even though people say it’s “too granny-esque”). I wore Oscar on my wedding day (a LONG time ago) and feel like it’s a classic. ❤ SO MANY of the fragrances you mentioned sound amazing!!! I would love to try the Bond No. 9 gardenia - another of my favorite white florals! Also I have been wanting to buy Paradiso because you have mentioned it before - it sounds right up my alley!
Blanche Bête was my SOTD. I still swoon when I smell it just like I did when I first smelled it! Elegantly Tokyo is one of the best fragrances I have ever smelled from Zara and it lasts forever. Great video, I'm not a huge white florals fan but do love them in some things.
I usually go for avant-garde Tuberose scents (like Odor 93 and Nuit de Bakelite), but recently I've been loving the super accessible Headspace Tubereuse. It's an every day Tube to me.

One of my favorite perfume genres! I feel inclined to try the French Grey. As of late I am looking for fresh, crisp clean florals and that may be one I enjoy, even though lavender is a tricky note for me and isn't my favorite but I do enjoy it in Mon Guerlain and Burberry Goddess. I don't love it when it smells more masculine. Oh and the Paradiso I think I may order. I don't have a gardenia dominant perfume yet so that one may be one to try. Hey there! Sooo sweet! 🥰Well the lavender in French Grey is VERY strong, much stronger than in Mon Guerlain (which I adore). Even though it’s soooo cheap, it might not be for you. Proceed with caution. 🤣⚠️ I love Paradiso but it’s really a jasmine dominant scent. I’d love if it had gardenia. ❤️❤️

This year I went a bit overboard buying perfumes and I did the unthinkable, I indulged in blind-buying.....I know...bad, bad bad. I loved your selection from this video, some of them are on my wish list. Bergamot! It so easily gets written off as smelling like dish soap or cleaning products but its a note I find in so many of my favorite scents. Despite the utter lack of longevity I just love the fruit loop-y sweet bergamot in the original 4711. I'd love to hear your favorite bergamot fragrances!
Wait- no coconut in Blanche Bête? I am genuinely shook. I bought a small decant because of the hype and am really enjoying it! I can’t smell any tuberose that I recognize ( had I looked closely at the notes I honestly would have steered clear as I always thought I didn’t like tuberose as it can be a bit cloying for me) 🤯 my nose clearly needs more practise, lol! French Grey I like, until the drydown and then, I LOVE it! The drydown is so gorgeous and reminds me of NR Pure Musc, I decluttered FG because they were similar enough to only keep one 😊

Funny thing about jasmine. I'm sort of like you with that note, but literally the *only* perfume my husband ever said he liked was a sample of Alien (dupe) put into an order as a freebie from Impressive Bliss. A couple of years back, I had another cheap smell-alike to Alien and I gave it away, but he had said he liked that one as well. I love your note-focused videos. I always find a few to sample! Have you tried Wit & West perfumes? Her Gardenia Ono has real gardenia absolute, along with lime, champaca and vanilla. I think it's pretty addictive and may be worth a try if you're looking for a true gardenia.

I also enjoy wearing Narcotic V, Magnolia Nobile, Wind Flowers, and the newer one in my collection, Adelphi Sun by Liberty. I have Narcisse Blanc by Caron (the vintage one), and it is quite beautiful for going out from time to time. I guess, when it comes to perfume choices it all depends on the day, mood, and a million other little things 😊

Aw!!! 🥹You are SO sweet! Your comment made my day. Perfume layering is like cooking. You add an opposite note to tone down a note that is too strong and layer something similar to make a note you like stronger. What part do you find challenging?
I think my favorites are Neroli Blanc by Au Pays de la Fleur d'Oranger, Neroli Botanica a new release from Essential Parfums by Anne Fillipo and Holy Neroli from Montale. I have to add a yellow because it feels like it kinda sorta belong here with the other I am going to mention: Chloe's Neroli and Ylang Cananga. Oh, and I love your pics, actually, I think I have and love almost all of them. Maybe Rosendo Mateu No. 3 also? I live in the Caribbean so for me these are year round fragrances.
Hazelnut, litchi, orris root for me pls? Also my favourite( now discontinued) is waterlily by Jo Malone. Love the sweet yet aquatic feel of this perfume. ❤
Jasmine is one white floral that I am very picky about! Some jasmine is so indolic or heavy cloying white floral I feel like I can’t breathe. I have a bad blind buy right now of a recent pick up 😫

Chris, you should try Tragedy Perfume Oil by Marissa Zappas, a cool and sultry blend of orange blossom and tuberose. And the artisan brand Wit&West has wonderful honeysuckle in gardenia fragrances! I have blog articles on all of them, if you’re interested. :)

I’m a HUGE FAN of just about all VanCleef & Arpels fragrances (& love the simple bottles). I just wish they ALL performed better😅Doesn’t mean I don’t own many of them because I completely enjoy every moment they last. Neroli Amara is stunning (but also lacks performance.) One of my favorite perfume genres! I feel inclined to try the French Grey. As of late I am looking for fresh, crisp clean florals and that may be one I enjoy, even though lavender is a tricky note for me and isn't my favorite but I do enjoy it in Mon Guerlain and Burberry Goddess. I don't love it when it smells more masculine. Oh and the Paradiso I think I may order. I don't have a gardenia dominant perfume yet so that one may be one to try. Hey there! Sooo sweet! 🥰Well the lavender in French Grey is VERY strong, much stronger than in Mon Guerlain (which I adore). Even though it’s soooo cheap, it might not be for you. Proceed with caution. 🤣⚠️ I love Paradiso but it’s really a jasmine dominant scent. I’d love if it had gardenia. ❤️❤️

Hello beautiful Chris, I love white flowers in my perfumes and I have many of those. I like Fleur de magnolia by Frederick Malle and Fleur Narcotique by Nassomato. This year I went a bit overboard buying perfumes and I did the unthinkable, I indulged in blind-buying.....I know...bad, bad bad. I loved your selection from this video, some of them are on my wish list. I am sending you a huge box of icecream, we have been on a heatwave here in Transilvania like never before, but in 2 days I am going to the seaside sooooo yeyyy! Big cool hug!!!

I tested it during this weekend. It was and still is beautiful on blotter (I still have it), but on my skin it is not as nice, there is something disturbing regrettably. Instead I bought the Vanille des Antilles by Ormonde Jayne.

Bergamot! It so easily gets written off as smelling like dish soap or cleaning products but its a note I find in so many of my favorite scents. Despite the utter lack of longevity I just love the fruit loop-y sweet bergamot in the original 4711. I'd love to hear your favorite bergamot fragrances!
Yes I LOVEeeeee bergamot! Love! I don’t tend to wear them in colder months but love them the rest of the year. Will put on the list!
Wait- no coconut in Blanche Bête? I am genuinely shook. I bought a small decant because of the hype and am really enjoying it! I can’t smell any tuberose that I recognize ( had I looked closely at the notes I honestly would have steered clear as I always thought I didn’t like tuberose as it can be a bit cloying for me) 🤯 my nose clearly needs more practise, lol!

Funny thing about jasmine. I'm sort of like you with that note, but literally the *only* perfume my husband ever said he liked was a sample of Alien (dupe) put into an order as a freebie from Impressive Bliss. A couple of years back, I had another cheap smell-alike to Alien and I gave it away, but he had said he liked that one as well. I love your note-focused videos. I always find a few to sample! Have you tried Wit & West perfumes? Her Gardenia Ono has real gardenia absolute, along with lime, champaca and vanilla. I think it's pretty addictive and may be worth a try if you're looking for a true gardenia.

I also enjoy wearing Narcotic V, Magnolia Nobile, Wind Flowers, and the newer one in my collection, Adelphi Sun by Liberty. I have Narcisse Blanc by Caron (the vintage one), and it is quite beautiful for going out from time to time. I guess, when it comes to perfume choices it all depends on the day, mood, and a million other little things 😊

I think my favorites are Neroli Blanc by Au Pays de la Fleur d'Oranger, Neroli Botanica a new release from Essential Parfums by Anne Fillipo and Holy Neroli from Montale. I have to add a yellow because it feels like it kinda sorta belong here with the other I am going to mention: Chloe's Neroli and Ylang Cananga. Oh, and I love your pics, actually, I think I have and love almost all of them. Maybe Rosendo Mateu No. 3 also? I live in the Caribbean so for me these are year round fragrances.

Jasmine is one white floral that I am very picky about! Some jasmine is so indolic or heavy cloying white floral I feel like I can’t breathe. I have a bad blind buy right now of a recent pick up 😫

I’m a HUGE FAN of just about all VanCleef & Arpels fragrances (& love the simple bottles). I just wish they ALL performed better😅Doesn’t mean I don’t own many of them because I completely enjoy every moment they last. Neroli Amara is stunning (but also lacks performance.) It’s okay though STILL A LOVE❤

I’m missing out on my favourite videos because I’m currently out town🤦🏽♀️🤦🏽♀️. I need more white florals because I was not a fan a few years back🤦🏽♀️🤦🏽♀️. I still love Blanche Bete🤍🤍 and I picked up Baciami at the beginning of August❤️❤️. My other favourite is Bouquet Encore from L’Orchestre Parfum, it’s simple and yet so beautiful🤍🤍. I will not be buying anymore cold weather as I have too many🤦🏽♀️🤦🏽♀️. Stay gorgeous🥰🥰
