This video explores the United Cities Empire under a feudal Emperor and Aristocracy, the bigoted, theocratic Holy Nation, and the rebel groups that rose in response to these powerful states. Based on the PC game Kenshi created by Lo-Fi Games and Chris Hunt.

Oh god I'm getting flashbacks of all the times my poor poor characters have been beaten, enslaved and mercilessly murdered by basically all of these factions 💀
Major factions may dictate the major world states and are the face of the game but i feel the minor factions add so much nuance into the choices we can make, its such a well thought world that its impossible to not feel immersed.
love the new series on video game history, i liked the intro as well, keep it up and hope you do more videos on other games

Holy Nation is no more in my playthrough, thanks to the Kung-Fu Master Cyber Beep and his Gutter Armies, Shek and Flotsam Ninja now took over the Holy Nation Land and Cyber Beep, he returns to his base at the hub, gathering his power to against United City
I went to go hang out with tinfist and left semi prepared for the war on all slaver factions 😅 But Benjies Banzai Boys is a quite formidable clan of samurai.

Im going to create new greenlander character. His mission? To destroy Holy Nation, United cities and Shek kingdom.
Damn shame that reavers can't be allied in vanilla. At least not in any meaningful way. Also wish that HN had a few more redeeming qualities to make them less of the Kenshi community's punching bag. Doesn't have to be much, just something to make it a bit harder of a decision to justify destroying them. Maybe a holy pilgrim visitor event when allied where they hang out at your base for like a day, not only offering a small amount of extra protection but offering alms of food/medicine. Or maybe nearby holy farmers visit to give you some excess crops they have to help a fellow okranite out

Both the military forces of these two mightiest nations to ever dwell in the wastelands, they all rely on conscription (From the samurai conscripts to the holy chosen) and the secure provisions from the villages and slave farms across their territories. However, all such domains are made to run by single commanders and rulers, from the Noble Circle to the High Inquisitors, and are thus prone to the dangers of assassinations or abductions as such in the cases of renowned leaders of the past like Shager and Emperor Anzai.
When are we gonna get some good minor factions and their juicy bounty leaders across this world, CivEx?
At the moment I will just cover major powers and their rebel groups, but in the future I'm sure I will make a series about minor factions.
