I did a parts integration on a 5 day NLP course about 20 years ago… to this day one of the most powerful experiences of my life. Just felt like the whole of my subconscious came together briefly… cohered… reconciled… at ease. Man, to get back to that… 😮 Love the increased confidence and emphasis on the rambles… keep teaching, big man
Matador started the drive for lightweight materials to make light backpacks for travels such as their SEG line. Osprey also has their Daylight 26+6 and more brands are going this approach. It boils down to the price point in the end.
I have some of the life pouches. I love them. I think they are great. Absolutely love the materials, zippers, zipper pulls, etc. The sizes are really nice too. At first I wasn’t in love with the smaller pencil case. But I keep finding so many really helpful uses. The larger pouch is a perfect for a toiletry kit.
I loved the 38l until I realized no water bottle spot on the side. I can live without the waist strap, but I need the water bottle spot on the side. I love the different compartments inside 😭
Holy shit. I’m listening to the No Bad Parts audiobook right now. It’s incredible! Read/listen to it. It’s included (no extra charge) in the new audiobooks section of Spotify Premium. The author walks you through exercises you can do to get started, but you need a good therapist to do the hard shit with you. It’s an ongoing practice, not a one-and-done read. Good luck to everyone out there trying to wade through their trauma the best way they know how. Peace and love.
Think I prefer clamshells that open from top to bottom and I had a small drip from a water bottle in the center pocket of my synapse 25 while I took a two hour nap. Very expensive, very expensive.
I always find the centred stick on type logo a bit cheap looking - I'd rather no logo, or something in the bottom corner, or a sewn on patch that at least has some feelong of quality.
I have the 38L, its very light but so is a garbage bag. Just like a garbage bag it has absolutely no structure, it’s terrible when packed out. You sort of glossed over this.

Hahahaha! The paper on the neck slayed me. 🤣
Looking back at me, I see that I never really got it right
I never stopped to think of you
I'm always wrapped up in things I cannot win
You are the antidote that gets me by
Somethin' strong, like a drug, that gets me high
What I really meant to say
Is I'm sorry for the way I am
I never meant to be so cold
Never meant to be so cold
What I really meant to say
Is I'm sorry for the way I am
I never meant to be so cold
Never meant to be so
Cold to you, I'm sorry 'bout all the lies
Maybe in a different light
You can see me stand on my own again
'Cause now I can see
You are the antidote that got me by
Somethin' strong, like a drug, that got me high

Bellroy, if you're reading this...find a way to add a water bottle pocket and load lifters!
Agree
I agree!! And waterproofing
We don't want a water bottle
I don't carry computers, so the space & weight of the pocket is wasted.
Came for the bag. Took away the book rec. Perect timing for me!
Hahahah the paper on your neck!! Glad you left the footage!
I was sure i'd re-shoot it today, but as I was editing I was, like... this is important, this is historical.
@@chasereeves lmao
The only way it was important was b/c you have your discovery preview. Made it worth it. @@chasereeves

Osprey 26 + 6 very similar and addresses most of the complaints mentioned here. It expands so 32L to travel colapse to 26L when you get there
So I am basically only focusing on your neck paper… Man…
neck papers... man! got me.

Definitely made me look up the packable daypack. Back to Chase roots.
🖤
Can we please get a comparison video Patagonia mlc mini 30L vs Bellroy lite travel pack 30L. Thanks
This looks like the Osprey 26+6 to the tee. Almost down to the tee but with a Bellroy touch.
I loved the 38l until I realized no water bottle spot on the side. I can live without the waist strap, but I need the water bottle spot on the side. I love the different compartments inside 😭
one of the most thorough packing + review videos, thank you!!
Not crazy, the philosophy is the best part. And travel is always a good opportunity to reflect on life.
Bellroy makes some great stuff
Chase, are you making a video about the new AER ULTRA Colection? You used to collab with their drops.
LOVE a lightweight bag!
Been waiting for this review. You’re the best!
A bag review! Yeah! With a book review thrown in?! Double yeah!!
Today’s special guest… TOILET PAPERRRRRRR!
🤦♂️
Use a vacuum bag for loft/puffy jackets, saves loads of room.
Appreciate the mental health bonus. Good on you for talking about it.
Loved the review. The 30L is now top of my list. The Western Rise links line to a generic page. Search by name doesn’t pick up any of the products
I am wondering about the water resistance. Otherwise this seems like my dream bag (30L)
I wonder which of the bags would be similar to Osprey daylite 26+6 . I mean in how much it can carry .

Thanks for the recommendation, downloading it now 😊
Have they fixed the straps slipping when the bag is a little on the heavier side? Previous model I own has this problem and it’s so disappointing
Almost makes me want to replace my nomatic navigator. So close.
If this had a water bottle pocket and load lifters this would be a nearly perfect light travel pack
Never understood why backpack manufacturers don't include something like a zipped water bottle pocket.... Seriously it adds a lot and is zero effort
@@preciouscode98 Yes. And for those of us who don't want a water bottle pouch, if it's zipped it can still be very handy.
Some of us don't give a 💩about water bottle s
@@gummybear41283then don’t use them
Load lifters on a light 30 L backpack? Do you need me to carry the backpack for you? 😅
If this just had a water bottle pocket id be sold
Is there any anti theft features in the zippers?
Think I prefer clamshells that open from top to bottom and I had a small drip from a water bottle in the center pocket of my synapse 25 while I took a two hour nap. Very expensive, very expensive.
nice review! sorry this isn't related to this bag but do you know when the pakt duffel ocean will be back in stock? Been waiting for months!
Interesting water bottle omission
Old paper neck McGinty...! You did it for the algo.
Its just hanging there. MENACINGLY!
No waterbottle pocket is wild. Almost perfect
Wild? Put the water bottle inside the backseat. 🤦
when's the nomin review coming?
Curious if they're virutally the same size at the beginning, how come you'd use the 30L as a daypack, but not the 38L?
38 could totally "do" as daybag. But traveling a little more minimally... the 30L just feels better as a daybag because it's not as deep.
I always find the centred stick on type logo a bit cheap looking - I'd rather no logo, or something in the bottom corner, or a sewn on patch that at least has some feelong of quality.

Would a water bottle fit in the larger front compartment?
yes, definitely.
I would prefer lockable zippers to water bottle compartment.
Almost bought it as the ultimate travel bag - until I have noticed missing water bottle... common!!!!
Such a shame has it no water bottle holders 😢
13:49 Join a men’s group
lol, somebody's paying attention.
How do I buy you coffee, chase?
Sweet!
Could you slip a 17 inch laptop in there?
I think probably not.
Thanks for the inclusion of the bloody business papers, man.
no water bottle side pockets - already was an immediate fail on them
GG
Light. Size! Just enough orgbization. No water bottle holder. No hip straps. Supergood…
😂
lmao!
No bottle pocket, bit of deal breaker
Enough with this obsession with water bottles!!! Bag is ugly with those water bottle pockets!
Facts
Agree!
There's bags with good looking water bottle pockets. Even other Bellroy bags have 'hidden' ones.
@@LiamMarcon hidden ones are good. Very hidden ones, better.
Ya I'm sick of these water bottle comments, just drink a soda
