"the job has now become a race against time" "wha- damn I'm stacking them as fast as I can!" Holy shit, was laughing so hard I had to keep re-watching the rest of it to see how it ended :)))
I love when they do the Minnesota ascent! Reminds me of my grandma. I passed by the place where they you'st to film while I was up there! :D Thanks for uploading!!!
This is great! I recorded it when it first aired, and it's never gotten old. Interesting to see the tech they used back then to supply the burgeoning post-war kids with all of their healthy meals. "Let's take ya back to the days when DDT was safe!" hahaha
"Huh, you don't see many of these trees anymore. Well down it goes!" "Here as anointed by God, man holds dominion over His earth. " XD this has got to be one of my favorite shorts on MST3K
I recall having watched this when 1st broadcast on Comedy Central- must have been over 20 years ago, yet, somehow even funnier and more topical now than it was then.
@mst3000dude well it's a good enough recording anyways. :3 I dont notice it unless I really look for it actually. I'm just glad that people like you keep putting up this awesome stuff on UA-cam for the rest of us.
Here in the Rio Grande Delta, Mexican citizens who cross the border on temporary work permits, help.....I'm from Canada, what am I doing here ?? Where are the Minutemen when you need them ?
@servantofLoviatar Belive it or not, it was filmed close to the fair grounds in close to the fair grounds. Some where close to Energy Park. The studio was farliry small, and it's no longer avalible to the public, because it's probuble used for something else. :( I passed by (like the tons of cars where) and I started to bounce up and down like a little girl. :D I got most of that from there fan site, just Google MST3k and go on there FQA page. Peace out!
Crow: "most farmers like to listen to Igor Stravinsky while they farm" Tom Servo: "This tomato is highly deformed, but just cut off the eyes and it's good eating"
"Here in Southern Texas, there is an additional problem."
"Texans!"
"Where they are taken back to the farm and put back in the ground. It makes absolutely no sence." LOL
"Worse part is he's not working for anyone. He's just doing this for kicks."
“See a young preteen put to work. Her beauty will soon fade.”
A brilliant cross between being horribly depressing and hilarious.
"these select people are making 3 cents a day!"
SERVO: "That's something you don't see everyday...a farmer with all his limbs..."
"Don't see many of these trees anymore. Well, down it goes!"
"the job has now become a race against time"
"wha- damn I'm stacking them as fast as I can!"
Holy shit, was laughing so hard I had to keep re-watching the rest of it to see how it ended :)))
"Farmers listen to Igor Stravinsky when they farm." The Rite of Spring is a classic.
5:40 -- "Well, this tomato is highly deformed, but cut off the eyes and it's good eatin'!"
I love when they do the Minnesota ascent! Reminds me of my grandma. I passed by the place where they you'st to film while I was up there! :D Thanks for uploading!!!
9:06 - "Later, this device is used to beat back the workers". LOL!
"Yes, the South starves while the North eats healthily!"
Where there's no FroYo to be had anywhere. 🍧
I love how it's about truck farming, yet there's not a single truck in the video hahaha
Have a 5 in. nail on me. 📍
"Go Speed Farmer!"
This is great! I recorded it when it first aired, and it's never gotten old. Interesting to see the tech they used back then to supply the burgeoning post-war kids with all of their healthy meals. "Let's take ya back to the days when DDT was safe!" hahaha
"They make it sound so nice!"
Classic short.
Tell that to the migrant workers. ☹️
"Huh, you don't see many of these trees anymore. Well down it goes!"
"Here as anointed by God, man holds dominion over His earth. "
XD this has got to be one of my favorite shorts on MST3K
"They ate nothing but staples...
heres a 5 inch nail, go nuts!"
Anyone else notice the red light from the camera reflecting off of the tv screen?
'Well...it isn't meat, but I suppose I should buy some, just to keep up appearances"
"Here in south Texas there is an additional problem:" "Texans."
I recall having watched this when 1st broadcast on Comedy Central- must have been over 20 years ago, yet, somehow even funnier and more topical now than it was then.
"I'm thinkin' of tellin' mah wife I love her. Nahhh, forget it, not worth it." Still makes me laugh over 20 years later, hahaha.
He doesn't love his wife, because he loves Earl, see :3
@@Evertide05 Great observation! :D
notice the happy smiles on all those farm laborers!
Anyone else find it weird that HAL was watching it too?
***** I'm sorry Daniel, I'm afraid I can't answer that.
The job has now become a race against time.
"Well damn I'm stackin them as fast as I can!"
>D
Crow:
"Here's a 5-inch nail for dessert... go nuts."
"I'm peakin' man" always makes me laugh. It works so well for Joel's kind of voice.
I love the highlight in California, right down by the border, then "in Salinas" which is a looooong way up the coast from San Ysidro.
I noticed that too -- nowhere NEAR Salinas. I used to live on the Central Coast, and Salinas was still well north of us.
“The process is rapid.”
“Rabbit?” 🐇
"Praise the Truck Farmer, Bow Down before HIM!"
poor video quality, high audio quality ;-) Thanks for posting this, and for bring laughter to our lives
"Wait a minute, has anybody seen a truck yet?"
Spoiler Alert: "Truck Farming" is what they call the mass harvesting of produce. 👨🏻🌾
@mst3000dude well it's a good enough recording anyways. :3 I dont notice it unless I really look for it actually. I'm just glad that people like you keep putting up this awesome stuff on UA-cam for the rest of us.

"I'm peakin' man."
Soylent Green is made of people! Next they'll be breeding us for food! Tell everyone!
Lol, what a reference!
Let's you back to the days when DDT was safe.
"Instead, they ate the yellow snow..." 🤢
"i'm peaking, man". For some reason i thought that was a recent expression. then again i didn't do drugs in the 90s
That's HAL watching you from behind the screen...
You realize this short was before Ed Murrow's "Harvest Of Shame"...
Yeah, agribusiness really needed someone to advocate for it back in the day.
im thinking about telling my wife i love her .................nah
Stick Farmers!!!
If DDT were still legal we wouldn't have all these bedbugs infestations we have now.
Have you also realized that those bed bugs have now developed a resistance to pesticides? 😨
I'm pretty sure it was part of the "J. Edgar Hoover" joke. The guy was a cross-dresser after all! Tom was referring to Hoover's fake breasts.
Here in the Rio Grande Delta, Mexican citizens who cross the border on temporary work permits, help.....I'm from Canada, what am I doing here ?? Where are the Minutemen when you need them ?
This short would be super depressing without Joel and the bots. With them riffing it, it's only a little depressing.
"A pre-teen is put to work, her beauty will soon fade"
"...and some carrots are humiliated publicly!"
GO SPEED FARMER!
GO SPEED FARMER!
GO SPEED FARMER, GO!
That's the camcorder that he used to tape his TV for the short.
Hail Truck Farmer! HAIL TRUCK FARMER!
Now I want carrots at 12am :(

Let's take you back to the days when DDT was safe.
Oh, Really? 🤢
My favourite part is at 3:26 -- "NOW DUCK NEWS -- HERE'S YUNA QUACKIN."
That's "Hugh McQuacken". 🦆
1:55 "Where else are people exploited? Down on the southern border." LOL
What's up with that red dot in that keeps popping up above Servo's head?

But they were just stupid
"EASTER BUNNY FILMS PRESENTS....."

Sadly, that joke about the Rio Grande isn't too far from the truth these days...
Crow:
"most farmers like to listen to Igor Stravinsky while they farm"
Tom Servo:
"This tomato is highly deformed, but just cut off the eyes and it's good eating"
SNIPER!!
DUCK, MOVIE!

That yell at the end makes me laugh every time I here it.
