Hey Dan, coming close to installing the detent plate I bought from you! Also now considering running a 700r4 4 speed with OD so I'll probably need to order the 4 speed detent when it comes to it!! Looking forward to having a true"slap shift'!!

Thank you. No one, including Shiftworks, has a detent design like these. I'm just a car guy that does all of my own work. I wanted to be able to slap my horseshoe shifter twice, so I made my own. I patented the features that allow my detents to function the way they do, and I have a local company that laser cuts the detents that sell too fast for me to keep up with. Some that aren't as much in demand are made by me, in my garage/shop.
I'm making a new design today that will let the user operate an aftermarket universal shifter that Shiftworks makes as a True Slap shifter. There will be at least 3 different detents for it for different transmissions.
I've contacted a few of the classic parts retailers. Some expressed interest. Two big companies asked for further information, but none have placed an order yet. Being a one man business, I think maybe they don't see enough dollar signs for them. They may have a large enough inventory of my competitors' parts that they need to sell them. The majority of my 650+ sales have been with Facebook group ads. I'm a high voltage electrician in a hydro-electric power plant and I work on detent plates and some other parts that I make and sell in the evenings and on weekends.
My parts sell for less than Shiftworks and function better. All of my detent plates are heat treated and satisfaction guaranteed. I have alot of repeat customers that have multiple cars, and I have alot of great feedback from very satisfied customers that love the simplicity of my upgrade. I'm available 7 days a week.
