what is the ucs settings for this door planning?
So i make the door frame and it wont offset unless one of the vertical portions is a crooked line. Once i join the poly lines and use the extrude commands when switching to shaded or any other view the frame is see through. I am trying to complete this by tomorrow for a autocad beginners project but i doubt I will get too far and I am afraid I will have nothing to turn in. Thanks for any help you can assist me with.
I can't draw a polyline vertically and my friend can draw this in his lap but he can't offset that polyline. Kindly advise me in this issues.
The problem may be with UCS. You can align it with the view plane before you start a Polyline
Excellent Tutorial, I wish you were my cad tutor. Can I just ask if i want to create an interior sectional perspective of a single room is it best to draw in auto cad in 3D then import into studio max to render or is it better to import a 2d autocad file then extrude the walls in studio max?
When I tried to join the polylines, I got an error saying " 1 was not parallel to the UCS". So I used "flatten" command to make them work join, but they became to 2D objects right after. How should I approach this problem?

Go to Pline, width option and set it at 0.

Sir, I have a problem. When i try to draw a poly line for the door, the line is not getting drawn on the edges of the door..i dont knw what to do? I tried drawing individual lines and joining them but they are also not getting joined..please help!!
OSNAP should be on when u do this . The UCS should also be on the same plane ...
it is difficult to offset how can i give side while offsetting ? i notice there is directions on cross air how can i get that
sir I was having a problem tracing the polyline in the door. first i thought it was just with the ucs. so, I change the orientation of the ucs same to yours. but as i was tracing the door it wont snap to the endpoint of the z axis. can you help please?. or is it a graphic problem of my computer? please help sir I cant continue with ur tut with this problem. thanks. sorry for the bad english

Your english is good . The problem may be dynamic UCS . Just deactive DUCS before you draw the polyline .
excellent, how to change width and high of that finished 3d doors in a most simple way?
sir i can't make the door when i try to join the various lines in pedit it shoows 1 is not parallel to ucs and 1 is on fixed layer. Please help me sir if it didn't work then i can't extrude it and i will be stucked

In tracing the outline of the door what command did you use it is poly line or 3d polyline? I cant use polyline because it wont elevate but when I use 3d polyline the object cannot be offset. ?
First bring the UCS to the required plane and then use PLINE command ...

How do i do that sabeer? i use cad 2014 and when i use polyline a phase is selected when i move the cursor so i can't click on the endpoint i want to work on ... if i need to work on x axis, polyline only works if x axis is selected the UCS automatically selected and i have hard time to finish it its taking hours

I did not understood that how you make the door how you make the polyline on the door's periphery, Was it PLINE or 3D PLINE i got confused.
Its PLINE . Just follow video step by step . You will get the result

You can activate selection Cycling in the status area (in the bottom) and select the polyline

+adilahmad teli Make sure that the profile is closed . Use PEDIT command to check this . If the first option is CLOSE , it's an open polyline . Then give Close to close it . If the extrusion is going upwards , give a negative value for extrusion
